I took a picture of my toes for you. *Waxing*: Usually the idea of waxing half my hair off really creeps me out, but Michelle takes her time to set the mood to a relaxing one, ensuring her customers are comfortable, warm, and ready for what's coming for them. The wax SI uses is really smooth and creamy and has never left me in pain. Michelle also does a really great job of finding leftover hiding hairs. Overall, I think Michelle offers a really unique spa experience, which is delivered right at your doorstep. She takes the time to get to know you and asks you what you're looking for from her visit in order to make her customers as happy as can be. I think for the moment Soulful Indulgence can only accept cheques, cash or credit cards. Michelle's in the process of getting a portable machine to speed things up and to cater to more people. Left some bits of wax behind and some hairs, so expect to have to shower off afterwards. The deep massage was... interesting. It started great while I was on my back, but then I flipped to my stomach. This wasn't a massage chair, it was the same one used for waxing (think of the one at your doctor's office), and there was a scratchy towel below my face and my neck had to be at angle. Was fine for waxing, but while your face is being pushed down by hands on your head the feeling can get pretty uncomfortable. The massage itself was good, if it was just the portion on my back I would even recommend. Can't recommend the portion on the stomach though - would actually recommend going elsewhere for a scalp massage because of it. On top of that I could hear two employees talking outside my room the whole time - not loud enough to hear what they're saying, but loud enough to distract the whole time. I think a proper massage chair and a "no talking above a whisper outside rooms" policy would have changed the whole experience.

It looked like staff had clean nail utensils for each client. Price was very reasonable for $35. I paid $10 extra for a paraffin treatment. The staff wrapped each foot in a bag filled with wax. I appreciate how sanitary that was. I have been to places where there is a pot of warm wax that multiple clients dip their hands and feet in. My only complaint is that staff were busy talking amongst themselves in Vietnamese even when they were working on clients. I know it makes passing the time faster, but it would have been more professional to not socialize in a different language in front of customers. I personally do not care too much as long as I get my nails done and not catch an infection.
