This isn't a traditional souvenir store, so don't expect cheap Sarasota items if you're a tourist.

Destination Florida carries tee shirts as well as woman's sun dresses, light sweatshirts, hoodies and hats. Don't forget the coffee mugs and other assorted tourist items. After looking around the store, I come to the counter with my tee shirts. There are two ladies at the register and I start up a friendly conversation. I ask about a military discount on my silly tee shirts and was told yes. I'm talking to, just a striking beautiful woman about Florida and New Jersey where she's from. The merch they sell is fun and can all be personalized. The shop is small, I mean narrow, so if more than 2 people are there it seems crowded to almost claustrophobic. They do personalize almost everything they sell, so that is pretty nice (t--shirts, hats, sweats) and have a variety of sizes and colors. The prices are a tad steep on some items, almost too cheap on others. My experinces have been positive, but not always successful as I have looked for things there I couldn't find. Yet I know not all local and touristy gift shops can be all things to all people. I like this place, all in all. If you are looking for Sarasota or FL merch go here. It's authentic and not "Wal-Mart" mass generated made in China slop.
