The coffee we got here was perfectly made. Worth a stop, especially if you are taking a trip to the candle outlet.

10/10 - Making plans to stop to pee here again…read more For anyone just looking for a rest step off the highway: the bathrooms are in the main building (with the candle) and towards the back middle. They're clean with tons of stalls and a cool rustic vibe. They do a great job knowing why someone might stop here. It's quick in, but (admittedly) a slower "out" as I usually end up shopping and finding neat stuff. You're probably going to walk away with something you want here too. It's a seasonal megastore every time we come here. During Christmas months, tons of Christmas. During fall, lots of autumn. During Spring, Easter, etc. You get it. It's not just the crap you see at big box stores; it's the special-ordered decoration places, feeling more like a huge Hallmark (if you remember those from the malls!) than just a bunch of stuff you've seen 30 times before. If you're not a decorator, they also have a decent selection of small business food (soup starters, seasoning packets for meats, etc.) and local craft beers (you can buy single cans!) to choose from. They ALSO, as the giant candle would imply, have tons of candles. Oddly enough, we rarely buy candles here - though they have a huge selection. We're usually much-more-distracted by everything else. There's also a fresh/homemade candy/fudge counter, and I *think* there's a coffee/cafe in the next-door building as well. They also sell outdoor decor? Some pretty neat stuff too. It's a really cool stop, and if you need to stop, it's well-worth stopping here over any of the nearby gas stations.

SO many candles!!! If you like candles, this place is like heaven! There are rows upon rows of…read morecandles in every scent and size you can imagine. They also have a section full of local Indiana beer and wine which is pretty cool. The bathrooms are also super clean! Definitely will a stop!

If I could I would give Uranus Fudge a ten star review. What started out as a fun side trip turned…read moreinto the most fun I've had in a long time. I love puns, especially sophomoric jokes, and this is the place for it. The fun begins in the parking lot for being greeted warmly inside by a "Welcome to Uranus." There is hilarious merchandise everywhere. Don't forget about the fudge, which is fantastic. There is a separate building for the ice cream parlor (be sure check out the Egyptian themed bathroom). They also have a mini golf course, playground, and multiple photo opportunities. My husband and I had intended to go for half an hour and ended up staying two hours. Uranus Fudge is super fun and comes highly recommended!

Uranus Fudge... Tourist trap, check. Corny as hell, check. Over-priced, double check. Fun little…read moreoff-the-beaten stupid place, triple check. We've driven by the signs for this idiot place on I-69 probably 100+ times and have always said "We need to stop one of these days." Well, we finally did... It's in the middle of damn nowhere and cheesier than Chick-Fila macaroni and cheese, but kitschy and as much as I hate to admit, it was kind of cool. They got us for $60 on over-priced and overrated fudge and other BS products that the "self-titled" house boss wanted, but it was an entertaining lil place right off of I-69. Would we go again? Probably not, but our stop was alright... If you need to take a leek during a road trip and want a little entertainment on the side, check out Uranus Fudge (because according to them, "The best fudge comes from Uranus").

Stumbled upon this cozy little shop today and oh. Em. GEE!!! The owners are local and the wife…read moreowner's mama (that makes sense, right?) was working. She could not have been more kind and warm; I'm so sad I didn't get her and the owners' names (but her daughter also owns the jewelry store across the street!!). Olive & Slate is a must-shop. Instantly the scent of one of their candles hits your senses and you're drawn in. They sell these awesome robot pieces made of metal and tin and are painted and out together by locals. They also sell flour towels with amazing quips on them (see pics below - they're only $7!!), and Mud Pie products that you canNOT love without. You gotta go visit. BRING YOUR MONEY! Buyer's remorse is NOT a factor here!

There are numerous items (like coffee mugs) styled with clever sayings. There are candles and pots, note pads, and ceramics. Near the entrance is a 3' long "Woodie" station wagon car filled with products. I've never seen anything like it! The mix is eclectic, but somehow the owner has a good sense of style and taste to make it look like it goes together. She was glad to assist if I had anything in particular that I was looking for too! Just another cool shop to stop by when downtown in Muncie! Review #2620
