High-quality London-based chocolatiers with truly decadent and enticing offerings. How can anyone…read morepass up their salted caramels... or their cups of melted candy bars that pass as hot chocolate... or their truffles...or? Well, it goes on and on. Aside the fact that the chocolate is well-executed chocolate, one of the more unusual things about this chocolatier is their fantastical flavours... and these aren't flavours that are done *just* for the sake of having strange sounding flavours - no, they actually *work* - and magnificently so. I'm especially partial to the cinnamon, the black cardamom, and the red wine - probably because I like warm spices, and, well...red wine. This shop is also ideal place to pick up a box of chocolate for a gift. The staff are always patient and lovely, and will let you really contemplate just *what* of their myriad of offerings should go into your hand-selected box. The chocolates themselves are artistic and colourfully decorated in some cases - and there are so many to choose from, if you really know your recipient's taste, they will inevitably know these trifles of divinity were picked just with them in mind. *Plus* the little "couture box" they come in is so intricate and well-crafted that it undeniably *proclaims* high-quality... so a person is sure to be well aware that this is no ordinary chocolate parcel even if they've never heard of the brand before. All that, and I would say that the prices are not that unreasonable. Hurray!

Mostly…read morewe were introduced to their wide range of chocolate bars which range from a milk chocolate through to a very tasty dark chocolate. They say not to pay attention to the cocoa content and rather to the flavor. Tucked away at the back of the chocolate hall or the front depending on how you enter it the chocolate counter can too easily be lost in the cacophony of chocolates assaulting your senses. Make sure you find it though because there's lots to recommend it! With a unique set of flavours divided into themes, this chocolate is delicate and quite pleasant. It's going to be different from anything you'll find elsewhere and you'll be appreciated no matter what you select. The easiest option rather than be overwhelmed by the selection is to go for a themed box. The Kaori box is going to make you the star of any party with a selection of very different flavours you can eat alone or dip in to another flavour to enjoy. I had the opportunity to sample this at my leisure along with a few chocolates and I can report back that while not all of the box of Kaori was quite to my taste, things that I did not think were to my taste were not as bad as I thought. The balance is well done here and the Kalamansi can be used like glue so dip your stick in there before your choice of Orange and Cocoa Nibs or Matcha Green Tea and Poppy Seeds power to coat the outside. It did take some getting used to but for a gift or at a party, this would be superb. While we did sample most of the chocolate bars we ran out of time to try much else as Harrods was closing! Of the few chocolates I sampled, the white was predictably sweet but the dark pleasantly mild. There was not as much body to the dark as I have become used to but hey I did enjoy it nonetheless. The milk was too sweet for me but many people will find this the perfect milk chocolate as it mirrors more closely the flavour and sweetness many expect in a milk chocolate. All in all a fantastic event and a great chocolate so quick go grab yourself some!

There are ranges of Galler chocolate specifically created for lactose intolerance and diabetes and if you're shopping for the choccie lover who has everything, look no further. The Kaori range consists of 6 ganache pencils and 3 'dips', meaning that 54 combinations are possible, all for a very reasonable £14.50. The Elementaires have floral, marine or 'volvanic' flavours and the tablets vary in taste according to the source of the cacao bean (Ecuador, Papua New Guinea) and cacao content. The prices vary greatly so you can find a treat to fit every wallet. Go at your peril.

A vast range of chocolates and flavors could be found. The print on the packaging was quite distinct. ----- Espresso Shots Gift Tin: little solid chocolate drops shaped like coffee beans and flavored with rich roasted coffee (£16.95). Certainly powerful in coffee taste and yet not too bitter. Chocolate consistency was smooth with a tiny hint of grittiness from the ground coffee beans. Quality was good and best to eat a couple at a time. ----- Milkshake: choose your ice cream flavor. Add whipped cream (optional) (£5.95). My brother picked their one of their best sellers: Dark Chocolate ice cream flavor, made from a blend of three types of imported Dutch Cocoa. He thought it was good, although was too rich for him to finish. Toppings like gold sugar, rose petals, and wafer thin piece can be added at an extra cost. ----- The Belgravia store is along Motcomb Street lined with independent boutiques and restaurants. They do small cups for 1.50, and larger ones for 3, all from hand-roasted cocoa from their kitchen. There is no milk in it, and its rather thick, leaving a lovely aftertaste in your mouth. The chocolates from the counter were delicious - I highly recommend the salted caramel ravioli & pear willams chocolate - but the bars they sell (sold in Selfridges as well) are not great. Located in a small shop at the…read morecorner of Brick Lane and Bacon St. (just to add to its appeal), the vintage feel jives with the overall ambiance of the Brick Lane experience. But inside this shop is an experience all its own. Those of us well into our adult years will still get that proverbial "kid in a candy store" sense when walking into a place like this. The immediate reaction is "I'll take one of everything". The number of choices and sheer number of chocolates displayed in a confined space are both exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. It was clear from the choices that this was a true artisan shop. In an act of fiscal and dietary restraint, we took away a half-dozen pieces. My wife always compares chocolatiers using their Chocolate Orange Peels (Chocolate Orangettes is what they called them at this place) as a benchmark. This place passed with flying colors. They also offered an intriguing Mango-infused Dark Chocolate with a pipet of Mango compote that you could inject before eating. It was also a highlight. The prices are fair for what this place is and the service is friendly, polite and efficient. If you are meandering up and down Brick Lane, this establishment is worth a stop. If you are a Chocolate fan, then this place is a must-stop. I guess there are people out there who are not chocolate lovers (or at least likers), but that is like not being a fan of oxygen from my perspective. I would like to stop again sometime to try one of the chocolate drinks. We opted to not get one this time on top of the candy pieces we bought to avoid the sugar overload. But they looked amazing from what I saw of others who did indulge.
