Leanna greeted me so warmly and with a smile (though she had on a mask, I could tell she was smiling)! Yelena was my Dental Assistant and she was also very pleasant. Dr. Syeda was very professional and kind. Guess what? No cavities!! (that is everyone's fear when going to the dentist lol) They do offer a complimentary teeth whitening, which is a plus in my book. I've had a great experience at Artisan Dental. Front desk people, dental hygenists, and Dr. Seyda are all very caring and professional. They have a patient portal with advanced features. Everything is online and makes the transition so easy! They even helped getting my x-rays from my previous dentist. Overall the transition was very smooth and pleasant. Dr. Seyda truly cares about her patients. She will take time to explain a procedure and it's pros and cons. She calls you back if you have questions. You can even call her cell phone if you have a pressing question. She is also very knowledgeable and highly expert in her field. I was very unhappy with my previous dentist. The doctors would leave, there was no continuity, they wanted payments way ahead of time, and gave us paperwork to sign to release any responsibility from them if they make a mistake. I'm very happy that I switched to Artisan Dental and I am rest assured that my oral health is in good hands. I have been a long-term patient at Artisan Dental Bellevue, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional care and service me and my family have received here. They take the time to listen to your concerns, thoroughly explain any necessary treatments, and provide honest recommendations. I am upset that I have to go out of my way and leave a review. But I think it is important to share my experience with Artisan Dental in Bellevue WA. Here is my issues: Unfriendly and unhelpful staff Front desk was unaware of their own policies and procedures Dentist were more concerned with upselling rather than what I was interested in I tried to work with them but in the end I felt unheard and ignored I had requested information about my billing payment options from the manager Michelle, a front desk employee in person, and a front desk employee over the phone. I wanted to know if I could use my Healthcare credit card. I received three different answers, the first answer was no so I ended up paying with my personal debit card. It turns out that the front desk employees were wrong and I understand things happen. I was not going to leave after this. Next, I called the manager Michelle who informed me that I was able to use my card and she was going to charge my Healthcare credit card and refund me IMMEDIATELY for my personal debit card payment. I was happy with this solution and ready to move forward. Two weeks had passed and I had not received my refund. I called the manager Michelle back. Michelle claims I had not talked to her before and even suggested that I talk to someone else (But I know I had talked to her because at the point I was already bothered with the uniformed staff so I was only going to talk with a manager moving forward). Then Michelle informed me that my refund had not even started. At this point I was upset and felt ignored. It is not my fault your front desk employees are not well informed why should I have to suffer? That is why I would not recommend Artisan Dental in Bellevue WA. Had an emergency with a cracked tooth on Monday. I work for two physicians, who referred me to see Dr. Syeda Bakhtawar on 9/8/22. The whole experience was calming, and extremely professional. From the moment walking in, to when I left. I am now looking to transfer my care to artisan Dental, as I have severe dental anxiety, and I couldn't have asked for a more caring office. This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to! I moved to Washington and picked this office as it was walking distance to my apartment; at the time they offered a free teeth whitening to new patients so that also enticed me! I have been in for various things 4 times since then. Dr. Syeda Bakhtawar is amazing and sincerely cares about the health of her patients; she takes the time to explain things in a way that I can understand which makes me more relaxed. I had to get a crown put on over the summer which I was extremely nervous about; she did an excellent job walking me through each step, let me take breaks when I needed to, and did a great job numbing me so I barely felt a thing. Syeda is very educated about the most up-to-date research in her field and on multiple occasions has taught me something new about dentistry during my appointment. Another thing I love about this office: it's all women staff! I have nothing wrong with being treated by a male, I just think it's rare to see a business with only females and totally love the vibe it brings! I've had a different hygienists every time I've visited and they have all been wonderful. I also appreciate Leanna works the front desk/does billing: I have duel insurance so at times the billing has been complicated; she has always been extremely patient and willing to get involved with the insurance companies to ensure everything gets billed/paid correctly. Dr. Syeda is one of the most caring and compassionate dentists I've come across. You seriously won't meet a nicer human being. Her energy is so positive and warm. I don't like going to the dentist, and my mind was set at ease immediately. The cleaning was comfortable and the team was so knowledgeable. Leanna, the office manager, is an insurance guru and helped me so much with all the billing stuff I don't understand. My exam was thorough, and I was given multiple options for treatment. It's obvious, Dr. Syeda has very high level training and has a more holistic approach to her care. I love that. I had a 20 minute whitening treatment in the office after my visit, and it was awesome! My teeth are normally sensitive with whitening, and they were totally fine with this. 5 stars for that alone :) I'd recommend Dr. Syeda to anyone...especially if you are nervous about dental work. My hand hats off to Dr. Syeda Bakhtawar and the Artisan Dental Team. They help saved my marriage, my spouse was exhausted from not sleeping due to my loud snoring and sleep apnea. We tried the CPAP option but that didn't work due to the CPAP machine operating sounds that also woke my spouse up..............I almost gave up until I discussed a dental appliance device with Dr. Syeda Bakhtawar. She and her team were excellent to work with during the dental appliance device process and came up with a great solution that worked for me and my spouse. I recently had a few things done here-- a deep cleaning, check up and crown. They hygienists at the office are super experienced. The one I had was great and did a really good job with my deep cleaning which was a fairly comfortable. I left with my teeth feeling great and finally converted to being a flosser after many years of refusing to do it. Dr Syeda did the exam and I really appreciated that she didn't immediately tell me to replace older fillings which I've experienced with other dentists. I did decide to get a crown however it was more my decision than her saying I needed it right away. I have 5 total crown that I've had completed by 3 dentists. The end result of the one Dr. Syeda completed is by far superior to all the others. Immediately after and now a month later I have had zero soreness. I did not have to go in repeatedly for adjustments and am able to chew on that side with out any issues. With all my other crowns I had mild pain for weeks and sometimes months as my mouth adjusted to the new tooth. This caused me to avoid chewing on that side. Anyone who has had multiple crowns knows about this. Not the case with the one from this office. Added to this was that the pricing was reasonable. I do have insurance but find it covers only about half or less of these types of procedures. My out of pocket didn't break the bank. Overall, I was super happy with my experiences at the office and would recommend Artisan Dental. read more
