Kimberly was amazing! I had cleaned and organized the majority of the family house but the garage was giving me so much anxiety. I really didn't want to deal with it and felt that the current hanging racks just would not work with organizing. I needed everything to be properly put away. Kimberly sold me on Artisan because she is meticulous, detail-oriented and very knowledgeable on the product. She was very clear on what customers did and did not like including her own experience which helped to confirm what I wanted. The install was very smooth and he walked me through how to use the accessories. I did get another option from The Container Store and it very obvious for me to move forward with Kimberly and the design. It was thought out for what I needed and thorough in the measuring to accommodate my space / tools which I was not getting from the competitor. There was no thought there or expansion on my initial ask. Back to the garage, I would have Artisan or my handyman paint the walls. I did have a handyman remove the racks and cover the holes beforehand as I wanted a smooth install, but I didn't have them paint the walls white again. It is not a big deal but a note to anyone else who is on the fence about it. I did have a small work station installed and I did ask about lights or tools to hang right in from of me. I don't think they offer that in their current catalog but I do think that should add in the future. The handy-wall is larger so I don't think it would fit in that space to hang smaller tools. If you are looking for something similar, you may want to design the space to leave that open and do it yourself. I have a garden rack next to it so I do use the lights and the wooden pole to hang a fan. Overall, I am very happy with the final product and the install. I have had a lot of experiences where the sales sold a great experience or tool only for the install to be a mess or disrespectful to your home. So I do dread installs and thankfully that was not an issue here. It was exactly what I wanted and Kimberly and the installer made the experience very easy and stress-fre. read more

I have wanted to do a closet system and a few years now. I finally pulled a plug. After several quotes, I settled on Artisan Custom Closets. It was a great experience. My designer, Samantha, was so professional, helpful and thoughtful. She helped me design our his and hers closets and my laundry room. She thought of things that I didn't consider adding! Husband love his closet and I love, love, mine! It's beautiful and functional. I hated the racks. The design process was seamless and I loved that she provided 3D images the day after the consultation. Also, Samantha answered all my follow up questions before and even after signing the contract. With one standout exception...Artisan Custom Closets. They worked with my wife and I after about a year's worth of delays (literally). But when it finally came time for the closet install, they were ready and delivered. Exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. We were so happy with our closet, we actually reached back out to Andrea to design and have installed another built-in for our water closet. Once again, the installer was professional and extremely detailed oriented. From the in person consultation with Andrea, to the numerous calls and emails to reschedule, to the two separate installs we had done, everything was top notch. As you can see from the pics, the space she had to design in was very challenging but she came up with so many great solutions. We scheduled an appointment for Danielle to come out - in about 90 minutes she had measured every closet and provided us with all of the details and options. About a week later, Danielle reviewed all the virtual designs with us. The software was very easy to understand and manipulate, so Danielle could move things around and scale things back/forth for us to fit within our budgets. Our strategy was to tell Danielle our entire wish list, and then scale back as necessary to meet our budget. I contacted a few companies about designing my dream custom closet. Hands down, Artisan Custom Closets were the best as far as value, professionalism, color options, accessories, and PRICE. I was really expecting to spend much more. My designer Debbie Dickinson, patiently listened to what I needed and designed a perfect walk-in closet that was converted from a spare bedroom. I have additional storage that I didn't even know I needed. I have room to grow and most of all, a functional space. We worked with Cathy at Artisan, and had a wonderful experience. She analyzes your existing wardrobe to determine what type of organization you need. She gave us good advice and warned us when requested features weren't recommended. Artisan offers a huge amount of options, so you can really customize your closet to your exact specs. Their showroom is really nice also. You can even upgrade to get built-in ironing boards, laundry hamper drawers, etc. They design it using AutoCAD software, so you get to see your closet before you buy it. Our new closet organization system looks great and is very functional. The lifetime warranty is a nice bonus also. I can't comment on how competitive the price was, because we didn't bother to get any other quotes. They also accept credit cards, so it's a nice way to pick up a bunch of bonus points. read more

My design specialist, Debbie, WOW'd me!!! YES-- I was blown away to see my finished design. I had 3 bedroom closets, hall closet, master suite and pantry designed. I came to Artisan after I was not comfortable with the options and pricing with Closets by Design. From the very beginning, I was impressed with their attention to detail and professionalism in designing a new master closet that was best for my individual needs. I worked with Kenyatta. She met late with me at their office in accordance to my schedule and showed me around the showroom to that I could see all options. She sat with me and helped me personally choose options that would be best for my needs. We discussed pricing up front, and I appreciated the transparency. She gave a thorough overview of the process and came out to my home to look at the space to make final recommendations and adjustments to the plan. The wait was worth it and my closet was finally installed yesterday. The installer was kind, knowledgeable, did it all himself, and was very experienced with over 15 years with this company. That speaks volumes. He arrived on-time, cleaned up behind himself, and completed the work in the expected amount of time. I'm glad I chose them and am so excited to come home to a beautiful designed closet that helps beautify the space, increase my home value, and help me remain as organized as possible. I am a super reasonable consumer, who fully understands flexibility in the world we live in. I ALWAYS give people the benefit of the doubt, but simply can't with Artisan Custom Closets. I would NOT recommend Artisan Custom Closets for many reasons. No Custom - Do not deviate from ANY standard item, especially if your design is considered "small" to them. I received pantry designs from other companies, and decided to go with Artisan Custom Closets, because they were in fact "Custom", as their name states. Very disappointed. They are not Custom. My designer, Ashley Friction, was truly amazing! She was extremely focused on customer service and satisfaction, a lesson her management team needs to learn. My husband and I visited the showroom and fell in love with a pull out column rack style cabinet (similar to a tie rack) that was integrated into a showroom design. We wanted this same cabinet design, but as a spice rack. Ashley researched with Engineering, and relayed back to me that the column spice rack could not be incorporated. Odd, since I got the idea from THEIR showroom, AND they are "custom". In the end, I researched a third party pull out spice rack and Ashley designed a simple opening for this door, and the door panel only. I would be responsible for installing the actual rack. I approved the order, and the next business day, I found myself on a 45-minute phone call with the management team. No Professionalism. - I was on a 45-minute call with what I thought was with the Design Manager, and little did I know, the Engineer, and the Owner of the company were also on the call. Who does that? Asked other people to attend the call, AND NEVER ANNOUNCES THIS TO THE CUSTOMER. Bad business. They truly do not care about the customer. And, the designer who did all the work was not on the call. I find this very odd. This was a weird situation, and the customer saw right through. Cookie Cutter Process - Their goal is to "turn" the designs as fast as possible. The more time they spend with a customer, the less money they make. I even offered to start over with the design, to come up with a totally different solution, but no, this would take additional time, and their profit would be low. They simply did not want my business because it was not a large project. Period. In fact, they told me that did not want my project, and began to initialize the refund before the call was over. Wow! Very sad that all of my neighbors are waiting to see how my project goes, because they all have projects they wanted to use Artisan for - that won't happen. I also had a home office and a bar that I wanted them to design, but had decided to use the pantry as a test. If you want a project designed for an odd size space, or anything "custom", or if you just want a pleasant customer experience, do not use Artisan Custom Closets. read more

My master closet collapsed & I needed a renovation. I don't have a large, fancy closet area, so it was more standard design, with hanging areas, cubby storage & drawers including a nice jewelry drawer. It took a week or 2 to get a designer to come out. Jessica was so detailed & attentive, & responded immediately to questions. The crew that prepped, Octavio & Mohammed, were also so friendly, quick & efficient. The installer (Alan?-I'm drawing a blank!) was also quick, & it's not that they hurry, but this is what they do every day & they really know what they are doing. No sub-contractors- they work directly with/for ACC. Every person arrived on time as scheduled. They have a showroom in Marietta & manufacture here in GA. I had a consult with another company, & it would have cost a little less money, but the designer totally dropped the ball when it came to communication which is a big NO for me. First off, we had several quotes and designs that we got along with Artisan. We had a new build house that wasnt finished, but had a model. Beverly was the only one that would come out to the model to get us a design and pricing. Beverly was so creative with the design and listened to our needs when she came up with the best design for us. We went to the showroom to see where everything is made and met the owner, which was just another reason we went with Artisan. The owner was very nice and came out to say hello to us, the morning we were there and thanked us for our business. We had closed the deal a few months before installation, but this last week was installation day. We were told that the installers would wear booties and would need access to the garage and would clean up their mess, etc.... How many times have we heard that, "we'lll clean up"... Billy and Joel came out to install, were on time and very professional. We had asked them to do the pantry first, then the his closet, as we had some last minute painting still needing to be done in the "hers" closet and also needed to work, so the kitchen was the only place for that. They had no problem with our request. They installed everything and it looked amazing! Did they clean up, oh YES!... Cleaned everything up and even wiped down the shelves and drawers for the closets and pantry they just installed. We are so impressed with the way they turned out. We shopped around for before choosing Artisan Custom Closets, and that's how I can say with conviction that they were the best choice. With the first vendor, I had to point out that their design would have the closet door smacking against the clothes. (I'm not a designer, I just have common sense.) He wanted to charge $1k more than we ultimately paid, and we would have had to wait at least 3 months for installation. The second vendor told me the design I wanted wasn't feasible, then offered a very minimal improvement over the original closet for only a little less than the first vendor. Again, 3 or more months to installation. These were not fly-by-night operations, either. They were name brands that you would recognize. With Artisan, we got the design we wanted at a low price and I think we waited less than a month for installation. We're very pleased with their professionalism and, most importantly, the results. read more
