I have always had a good experience at Article.The store is clean, organized and has a good selection of items despite its small size. After having a frustrating time consigning some items with another shop in town I decided to try Article. It took awhile to get an appointment but it was worth the wait. Their policies are fair and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. I've now been there twice to consign my items and they were successful in selling almost everything I brought. Shopping consignment can be very hit or miss. I think you really have to check in often to score the good deals. I've shopped there a few times and never found anything just right or in my size. But the other day when I went in to pick up a couple of my unsold items I finally hit it big! Practically brand new pair of Red Engine jeans in my size and already hemmed to my length. These jeans retail for $173. I got them for $18! Items get discounted after a certain period of time. Then, if you have money in your account from consigning and you choose to use that to purchase items instead of receiving a check, you get an additional 10%. Also picked up a pair of never worn Aldo brown leather flats for $12. Article is definitely worth checking out. If you don't find anything the first time, keep checking back. I will definitely be going back to this place. I have been shopping at secondhand stores since I was a preteen, and I love finding little hidden ones like this. Article Consignment has only been open a few months, but they have a good thing going. It's a bit hard to notice from the street, nothing that can't be fixed by some outdoor signage, but once you get in there are lots of great items to choose from. The selection was pretty good and as more people find out, I'm sure it will only get better. The prices were also good; more than a thrift store but not as much as a brand discount store. I picked up a vintage snakeskin waist belt for $3 and a stunning red Aldo purse for $19. The shop owner was friendly and even showed us some of the great items that had just come in. I feel that these used stores are always hit and miss. Today was a hit. I found a great pair of super dark black Tommy Hilfiger stretchy jeans. The tag said $23.50 and I walked out paying $12 and some change. Isn't it always a nice surprise to get a sale that you didn't even know about? I looked around for more but nothing struck my fancy. Lovely consignment boutique. You can find everything from Jimmy Choo shoes, DVF dresses, and Gucci dress pants, to F21, Gap, and J. Crew. They even have a small section for active/workout wear. I've found many, many great pieces here, and these folks are very selective about the quality of items they accept for consignment. I sort of selfishly don't want more people to know about Article, but then I also do because I want this shop to stick around and be successful! read more

If, like me, your wallet has been hit hard by a few too many furlough days, then Article is the place for you. The store is fairly small and very well organized, making it easy to find what you are looking for. The arrangement is chic and boutique-like with pull-out drawers full of scarves and easy to find designer jeans. There are men's and women's clothes and accessories and a great baby and children's section. Maternity clothes were recently added. There is a great selection of handbags from brands like Kate Spade and Coach. Everything is affordable. You can find high-end brands like Juicy and Nanette Lepore for well under the retail price. Love this place. It's just the right size so you don't have to spend an entire afternoon sorting through stuff. Plus, there's no junk. They have a great mix of lables, items for men, women and kids, and pretty killer selection of designer jeans (I mean, like the ones people pay $200 for). The icing on the cake? First of all- hands down AMAZING customer service. This is how all business SHOULD be operating. I am new(er) to the area and I have been looking for high-end consignment. This is in East Sac, so I thought it would be a definite winner. The clothing is definitely good quality (as consignment should be) and organized neatly, the racks are not overfilled and it was a comfortable shopping experience. But the clothes are noticeably dated. And not in the cute vintage way. A very large selection of 90s-esque pieces, not what we expected. I am by no means a "fashionista" and I would describe my style as "classic/preppy". If you are looking for this type of clothing- this probably isn't the store for you. They did have an extensive handbag and shoe selection, but mildly overpriced (considering there are outlets for Coach, Michael Kors and a few others in Folsom, Vacaville, and Napa.) I couldn't leave 5 stars because I was disappointed with the selection and price. But, the customer service was definitely out of this world and I would go back just to talk to the girls that work there! read more

This is a very cool little shop. Last Christmas I found a couple of things (a vintage necklace and a purse) that made fun presents for two of my close friends. Stopped in and was really surprised at the amount of men's clothing, all in excellent condition and every designer label you can think of! Considering every item was a top name brands from the best stores and designers helped cheap me get over my initial sticker shock!! This place is a true gem! I stopped by for the first time this past Saturday and I was overwhelmingly impressed by this store. Not only do they have a huge selection, but they also have by far the most attentive staff. I've been part of the Article team for over 2 years now. The owners Abe & Val are both amazing. Their number one priority in the shop is definitely customer service. They set a great example of the level of customer service that all of the team members follow. When I first started Abe & Val took note that I really enjoyed the social media/ marketing aspect of the job and actually paid for me to take a social media course! Love this store! I found a super nice suit for my hubby for $29!!! It was new and a perfect fit. I have a hard time shopping consignment for him because he is so tall but I always come home with a great find from Article. They have a super friendly personal staff. I shop with two active kids under 4 and can feel relaxed because they are kid friendly.
