Everyone I have gotten to know is so kind and it feels like a big family. Dance has become my sport and I am now in the best shape since I did martial arts at a high level years ago. Through DWM I have also extended my network and built some unique friendships and connections around the country. She has the energy of an athlete, the attitude of an entertainer and the warmth of the girl next door.... Venezuelan style of course. Love the camaraderie and fun had there as the girls all know each other, you are introduced as soon as you come in and incorporated immediately into the Troupe. I say troupe coz the ladies can shake that thang and Loibel calls you up on stage to strut, shimmy, shake, tweak that thang while all cheer you on. Really a great energy, workout and social moment. She's not in daycare and stays home with me so we figure it would be good for her to make other friends her age. They start as early as 2.5 years old which is the class we had her in. As soon as I set foot in the door Danny and his lovely wife Catia immediately made me feel welcome. My instructor is Danny and he had me dancing right away. He is great on helping me with my form and helps by repeating the moves until I get it. He is encouraging, kind, helpful and respectful which goes a long way towards easing my nerves. The ballroom is very beautiful, elegant and large. Even after the first few weeks of lessons I had a grasp on the major dances and feel confident enough to go out dancing. One of the specials was for new students as a couple to come in for three 30 minute sessions for $60. So, I brought my fiance to learn to dance with me. The staff here is very nice. The instructor is very patient as neither my fiance nor myself know how to dance. I really enjoyed the two lessons we have had so far. Dancing lessons can be requested for styles including the foxtrot, waltz, etc. This place also holds parties for students. They have package pricing if you want to continue. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
