I have to say that me and my husband will miss dancingon the stage, BUT ProAm thinks about everything and make sure that everyone is Happy, sooooo we will have parent child dance deferent way ....so exciting because it will be a parent child dance anyway! During that time, our family dedicated countless hours, financial resources, and support to the studio. Just one week before intensive summer classes were scheduled to begin, families were informed that the competitive team was being discontinued. The timing alone was upsetting, leaving dancers and families with little opportunity to make alternative plans. What made the situation even more heartbreaking was the explanation given to the dancers--that they were causing problems for the younger students and that the studio no longer needed them. These were not troublemakers. They were dedicated, hardworking young women who had spent years representing the studio and helping build its reputation. Wanting answers, the dancers met together with the owner and teachers to discuss the decision. Instead of feeling heard or respected, the girls left the meeting devastated. All came out in tears, feeling dismissed and blamed after years of loyalty and commitment to the studio. After 12 years, we expected honest communication, professionalism, and respect. Instead, many families were left feeling hurt by both the decision and the way it was delivered. Every business has the right to make changes, but long-term students who have devoted years to a program deserve to be treated with dignity and appreciation. Unfortunately, this experience left our family deeply disappointed and changed our view of a studio we had proudly supported for more than a decade.
