We took 6 lessons... Eileen was our instructor and she was fantastic. They took us through all the basics so we learned dances like the waltz, salsa, mambo Rumba they take you and start you with the fundamentals and then kind of work you up my wife and I were getting ready to go to a family members wedding and I had always wanted to learn how to dance. I thought Arthur Murray was a fantastic experience for both me and my wife and I would highly highly recommend it for anybody who wanted to learn how to dance we would certainly go back. First of let me make it clear that I am absolutely not a dancer and my fiancé and I were especially nervous about dancing for our wedding but Arthur Murray Dance Center really had our backs. The instructors there are so clearly passionate about dancing and there is such a wide variety of dances that they are all knowledgeable in (e.g., merengue, bachata, Salsa, etc.) so there were a ton of choices for us to choose from! The Instructor we had wad was named Raven and he was amazing at teaching us non experienced dancers how to really build our confidence in dancing without looking like total fools at our wedding. Overall if we could give this place more stars we would, my fiancé and I also agreed this would be a new hobby because it's a nice way to learn and get exercise and not be total bums in life lol! read more

My husband and I came in to inquire on pricing tonight. We explicitly told the person in the front that we just wanted to look into pricing as we hold no prior experience with lessons. When he pushed us to sign up for a introductory private lesson on the spot, we kindly said that we had to save up. Instead of understanding or letting us think about it, he had the gull to ask when we get paid. When my husband stopped him and walked away, the salesman couldn't even be bothered to apologize and instead asked for my number to check up on us. Don't waste your time with Arthur Murray in Temecula. I get that sales are a priority, however, this is not how you gain customers off the bat. In our opinion a salesman does not need to know when we get paid.. We hadn't even rejected him, just said we needed to save money first. If you want them to see you as anything but a dollar sign or at least have decent customer service go elsewhere. read more

Highly recommend this dance venue. It is a paradise filled with happy, comforting and encouraging vibes. I didn't come in with a partner and so the instructors became my partners. Each instructor is beyond awesome! I had no expectations when I signed up. After you fill up a form, an instructor consults on what you wrote, then he/she gives you a trial/evaluation dance. My last dance performance was in high school so I have 2 left feet like most beginners. As stated by another reviewer, the instructors also attune to my needs and wants and tailor the moves to my level of comfort and pace. While there, I watched an older couple practice their graceful, amazing and fun wedding dance highlight. People take dancing for all types of reasons - to keep weight down, whole body flexibility, proper posture, improved leg strength and balance, and keeping the mind on its toes, so to speak. I learned a variety of dance styles and disciplines to various rhythms. It was amazing to see men multi-task as in think, listen, talk, eye contact, hold your hands/arms, posture and move all at the same time. Even though there were other learners, my instructors always made me feel important. They have parties for more dance practices and interaction with others. I paid for human interactions, body movements to music and a burst of happiness, as a result of dancing. With reluctant feet and a heavy heart, I head back to homebase Illinois. I signed up for a few classes, paid a lot of money for them, the coaches were great and everything was going well until all of a sudden they closed the location without letting their clients know, no reason why, no further explanation. I received a call and they wanted me to drive all the way to Escondido???? Not sure why would they think that something like that would make any sense, had the Temecula location 10 mins away but they wanted me to drive 45+ minutes (more gas money, more time invested in the back and forth drive ) to finish my sessions!! My friend from yoga goes to Arthur Murray for dancing lessons and convinced me to go since it was guest night... and free. The theme was St. Patty's so everyone wore green. I learned how to do the Irish dance! The room was then split into boys and girls. I danced with my yoga friend first and he was teaching me the steps. Let me tell you that I'm not much of a dancer when it comes to steps. I'm so stiff :( And I don't know how to turn. I danced with a few instructors. The staff and instructors were really nice and welcoming. I can't do it, but I had fun. read more

We would highly recommend Arthur Murray for dance lessons. We came in and needed our first dance wedding song choreographed and taught to us within two weeks and Kenzie totally did just that. Having zero dance experience she somehow managed to literally teach us to dance in 5 lessons. While I would recommend leaving much more time, we were very impressed with how quickly they were able to work with us and how accommodating they are. They let you come in and practice in their space which was nice to have an actual dance room to practice. They really helped us feel much more comfortable with our first dance! This place is amazing! I am not really one for socializing or being in close contact with people but the staff here has changed that. I have never met such a happy, friendly, encouraging group of people. The staff is fantastic. They provide a family environment where you feel like you are learning and growing as a team as well as an individual. The lessons (both group and private) are filled with laughs and technique, leaving you excited for the next one. I can truly say that the staff and students at Arthur Murray Temecula have made an immense impact on my life. The only thing I regret when it comes to Arthur Murray is that I didn't walk through their doors sooner. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. read more

This is a fantastic place to learn ballroom dancing! I decided to try Arthur Murray to fulfill a long-time desire to know how to dance and I found the experience immensely valuable. My private lessons always started on time, and the time was always well used. My instructors always had a solid plan for what we were going to learn that was based on my previous accomplishments, and they tailored their instruction to my learning style and level of comfort. The group lessons and parties were tremendously fun and helpful. In group classes, the instructors do a great job of choosing what steps and movements to teach so that the lesson is beneficial for everyone there. The parties were always well organized and the entire staff would always be encouraging and helping me get out on the dance floor to practice what I'd been learning. What I enjoyed most about learning to ballroom dance here is how well attuned the instructors were to my needs and desires. I didn't just want to learn dance steps but wanted to be able to dance in social settings. And I found that my instructors were not simply teaching me dance steps and technique, but were also versing me in how to be attentive and receptive to my partner while dancing, how to lead gently (gentlemanly), and how to lead when my partner was unfamiliar with movements and steps, all of which contributed to why I was interested in learning how to dance. And I think that is what I appreciated most from the instructors, and probably what sets the studio apart the most: that in addition to the superior dance instruction, the instructors take note of why their students are there (whether it's for stress-relief, to be more social or whatever) and really take the time and effort to integrate your reason for being there into what they're teaching, so that your lessons are meaningful for you. In essence, if you're interested in learning ballroom dancing this place is fantastic - the instructors know dance and know how to teach it, but they also tailor their instruction to your needs and wants. My husband bought me ballroom dancing lessons for my bday (yes ladies, I'm a lucky girl I know!!!) and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed. Our instructor Kinsey is awesome!! It isn't cheap, but I do believe that it's worth the money. So far we have had 2 private lessons and we've learned the basics of the Foxtrot and Rhumba and its really fun. Dealing with them was the absolute worst part of our wedding: such a complete waste of time and money. Found them through a Groupon offering 2 wedding dance lessons for $70. Before we could even step foot on the dance floor they spent 20 minutes trying to get us to buy a $500+ package for additional lessons. We told them we wanted to see how these 2 lessons went first, but they would not let up...there was a point where we seriously thought they weren't even going to let us dance until we purchased one of their very "special" packages. Once they finally let us on the floor, they continued to pitch the package every chance they got. Every few minutes, one of the other instructors would come out, tell us we "looked great" and would do so much better if we bought the package. Everyone had fake smiles on the entire time and never actually taught us anything. We were shown a couple of steps, but whenever we had questions, we were ignored or told to just keep doing it. At the end of the lesson, they again barraged us with demands that we buy the package. We begged the person who had worked with us to focus on one type of dance the next time we came, rather than switching between 3 or 4 different one. She told us they only do that with the package to avoid frustrating us. We were devastated. We really just needed basic footwork for one dance that could conceivably go with our wedding song. We could not afford choreography and weren't asking for anything special. But they just refused. We were so uncomfortable we almost did not come back for the second lesson. Luckily, the instructor apparently changed her mind and did teach us one specific dance, but, again, barely answered our questions. And, again, every few minutes someone else would come out, give fake praise, and push the package. We couldn't wait for it all to be over. We went to Dancing in Riverside instead, and for what less than half the Groupon cost, they taught us a dance, with entrance and exits and we had an absolute blast at our wedding showing off what that studio taught us. Arthur Murray doesn't give a damn about people. They're all about the money and being fake. Don't waste your time. read more

My husband and I recently retired and were looking for an enjoyable way to spend time together and get some exercise. From the moment we walked into the Temecula Arthur Murray dance studio on our four left feet, we haven't stopped dancing. The staff is incredible. You won't find a nicer or more talented group of dance instructors anywhere. Trust me, if they can get us to dance, they can get anyone to dance. The only "equipment" you need is a pair of dance shoes and the right attitude. We improved our core strength and our balance in just the first few weeks. Lifelong dream to learn Ballroom dancing became a reality in January 2012. One of my top New Year's resolution last year was to do something I always wanted to do but never ventured into doing for one reason or another. Thus, my hesitant entry into Arthur Murray studio with my coupon in hand for a discounted lesson early in the year. I love good bargains! Thought it was worth the try. I got welcomed with enthusiastic "hellos" from all the instructors in the studio which I thought to be rather odd. However, I now love to be greeted with the same level of energy everyday I come for a fabulous lesson.The "family" atmosphere and level of dancing expertise by all instructors make this the most rewarding decision I have ever made in my life. The private lessons with Tavio and Richard are always FUN and energy boosters as well as stress reducers. Training with them to go to Showcases, Arthur Murray Shows and Balls as well as competitions bring loads of excitement and exercise into my life. The studio is also a wonderful source of forging new and valuable friendships even if you do not "need" any more friends ( like i thought i didn't), you will meet happy people of all ages with rich diverse life experiences. I really enjoy the guest instructors and parties that allow all students to practice their newly learned moves with each other. My favorite dances are the samba, salsa,viennese waltz, rumba, and argentine tango. I love this place! The staff is allways welcoming you with great enthusiasm ready to start the dancing going. The moment you start meeting them you can feel that they have great knowledge about what they do. From the private lessons , wich are customized arround you to group classes where you get to learn amazing steps to practice party's. This place is just fun.
