I went to 3 different dentists, two of whom looked at the x-rays and said it was too difficult for them ( the canal was calcified and very hard to see ) I was then referred to the third dentist who specialized in root canals. He started the procedure and got to a point where he was not confident to continue. A friend highly recommended Dr Eguchi so I went to him. He was great. A very nice man who genuinely cares about his patients. Very thorough and explained all the options to me very clearly. The procedure was completely pain free. His office staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to find time for me.

My experience with both the Doctor and his staff was exceptional - not just in their professionalism, but the respectful and compassionate care I received, during a time of covid stress and personal challenges. Dr. Tayebaty did a thorough examination and was absolutely clear and frank about the possible outcome - only a fifty percent chance of the root canal being successful. I subsequently asked the director of Dientes in Santa Cruz (who had referred me to him and was familiar with his results) what she would do in my situation, and she replied emphatically, and without hesitation, that she would have him try to save my tooth. Dr. Tayebaty was exceptionally present and exacting in his work, and reassured me by answering my various questions before we started. Despite my profound stress, I found the procedure surprisingly smooth and unhurried (the way a root canal could be in the hands of a master practitioner like Dr. Tayebaty). It is now seven months later, and so far so good. We are truly fortunate to access to such excellent care in our community (at comparably reasonable rates), and I absolutely recommend Dr. Tayebaty to anyone in need of a root canal and related procedures.

"opportunity" to have different Root Canal's performed so I've been able to tell the difference between practicioners. Here's what makes this office great: - Dr. Cross takes his time to get everything right. This can occasionally result in a slight delay or minor overlap of appointments, but I strongly prefer this approach over a Doc that rushes through and misses something. - Dr. Cross (and the office in general) place a lot of care into cleanliness and disinfecting. If you want to geek out, check out Dr. Ross' youtube video link on his site where he talks about disinfection technology and advancement in that area. - The front-desk staff are very organized. For simple stuff like scheduling an appointment, they allow texting (nice!) - Costs are well explained and they support a wide range of insurance providers. - Dr. Cross' temporary fillings are legit. I had a vacation conflict and head cold which resulted in me postponing my follow-up office appointment by a couple extra weeks. Obviously it wasn't planned but I'm pleased to report that the temporary filling the Dr put in worked fine. Ultimately, I think this was a good experience.
