That's Liz get your teeth cleaning by her
Vanessa T.

I don't like how this place don't respect appointments , if the appointment is set for a date respect it... a month later I'm there for my appointment with the specialist they said they cancel my app because the " assistants" called in sick I didn't have an app with the dental assistant I was there see specialist but thank you for the time never again will be there !!!!!!!! I enjoyed my time getting my teeth clean by LIZ but never again going to this place !

This is how Kumar left me with the lower implants. They should look like the upper ones. My review is included.

Do not use Accu-Dental or see owner/dentist Suman Ramakumar (dr. Kumar) if you value your mouth. I paid Kumar $27000.00 for 26 month's of a living nightmare. My teeth were wasted and had to come out and get over denture implants. Kumar was so nice and convincing that it all could be done. Then I paid her in full. And that is when the nightmare began. First, one of Kumar's assistant needed to take a impression of my teeth. Once the molding goop was dry, she had to take them out. She pulled so hard to the the mold out, that she damaged some of my trigeminal nerves. I started to have headaches and Kumar assured me this was "normal" and that they would go away eventually. That was the first of so many lies Kumar was to tell me. Five month's later, with headaches still going on, I saw my nuerologist and had a MRI done and he saw the damge she did and that my headaches will probably never go away, never. My nuerologist will testify to this in court. In the beginning, Kumar had to do surgery to take all my teeth out and put in the implants. About a week later, implants started coming out. Kumar once again said this was "normal." But she would have to do another surgery to put implants back in. Now get this! She tried to charge me for the second surgery! I told her that it was not my fault that they came out. It was her awful job of putting them in. After figuring out that I was not that stupid and gullable, she did the second surgery. There is more to this part, but you get the picture. They stayed in until her lab people got ahold of me and ended up yanking two out while pulling out my snap on teeth. Loosened a third and she had to replace those. The picture I enclosed is her awful work on my lower gum. Kumar loved to cancel appointments. Always cancelling and I would have to wait another month, unless I wanted to travel to other offices. Which she knew I could not do, due to my disability. If her assistant called in sick, kumar would usually cancel as well. She knew so little about snap on dentures that if her assistant called in, Kumar was like a chicken with it's head cut off. She did not know what to do without a assistant. Kumar is very clumsy with her hands and would always cause pain when working in my mouth. If kumar was working in my mouth, I was in pain. She would have to use this tiny socket wrench to remove the caps of my implant or tighten them and would always slip and cut up my gums. And she would always be looking around at what everyone else was doing or talking about. She had to be involved in the office gossip or jokes. She was never paying attention to what she was doing. Always looking around and joking with employees. And that laugh! That awful, annoying fake laugh of hers. You wanted to clamp your ears with your hands. Even her employees were annoyed with her laugh. But they had to put up with it. Well, because she signs our paychecks, is what one assistant told me. Kumar could never figure out how to keep my snap on dentures to stay snapped in. I would leave my visits (always bleeding or sore by her clumsyness) with them in place and maybe three days at the most, they would not stay snapped in. They would just "fall" out when I opened my mouth. They would either not stay snapped in or when I bit down, the dentures would cut up my gums. If I bit down to hard, the implants would put pressure on a nerve, and oh the pain. I would text her and she would answer that sometimes that was "normal" and she would fix it next month's visit. Always next month and always "normal." I would go back in a month, that is if she did not cancel, and she would attempt to try again, and again they would not stay in. With the pain as usual. Now mind you, I asked for my money back a couple times with the reply of no. What could I do? Bottom line. Kumar has not a clue on what she is doing. But she did know how to goof off. She would be working on my mouth and then tell me that something had to hold for five minutes. Always five minutes, and the she would be off somewhere laughing that awful fake laugh and joking around. If she wasn't laughing, she would be looking or texting on her phone. I swear at times, I believe she was looking up on how to do something, because most of the time, she had no clue what she was doing. The horrific pain and suffering that Kumar brought upon me was very depressing. I missed so many family gatherings because of Kumars inability to finish my dentures. Birthdays, engagement parties, weddings, social gatherings. I mean, who wants to be seen in public with no teeth, or worse, teeth that fall out when you open your mouth? At one moment, I did not want to be around anymore. Kumar had drained so much life out of me from not being able to do the work she so assured me she could do. I wish I could write more of my nightmare, but yelp limits how much. I have other stories from her other office visits as well. Do not let Kumar work on your mouth!!

I want to share my mom's experience with Dr. Ivette San Juan so others can make an informed…read moredecision. Less than a year after getting a dental bridge, my mom began experiencing persistent pain and sensitivity. Despite multiple visits to Dr. San Juan, the source of the pain was not identified. Instead, it was attributed to gum recession, and she was advised to consider a root canal, which later turned out to be unnecessary. Two independent dentists confirmed that the bridge was not properly cemented, and even a colleague of Dr. San Juan reached out to inform her of the defect, yet it has still not been addressed. Because of this lack of cooperation, the issue remains unresolved, and my mom is still experiencing pain. The bridge may look fine cosmetically, but proper placement and functionality are essential. My mom had to go through additional appointments, imaging, and consultations to try to determine the cause of her pain--visits that could have been avoided if the original work had been done correctly. We hope sharing this story encourages patients to ask questions, advocate for themselves, and pay attention to clinical detail. I am posting this now because the issue is ongoing, and transparency is important for patient safety.

Several years ago I had Dr Vanderbilt as my dentist and Dr San Juan took over the practice. One of…read moremy teeth broke so I went to IJS on an emergency appointment. The advice I was given was that she could save the tooth by crowning it after I got it root canaled by a specialist. I feel like she was less than honest about the tooth also having a deep pocket and that it would probably need to be extracted in the next few years. It lasted exactly 5 years before I had to have it extracted and an implant performed. In retrospect my opinion is that I should have just had the broken tooth extracted and replaced with an implant and not wasted almost $1500 on the root canal and crown that only lasted 5 years. And the worst part of it is that the dentist who did the implant total fee was only $200 more than the attempt to "save" my natural tooth that was something that Dr San Juan could make money on... since she doesn't do implants. Thanks for costing me $1500 for postponing the inevitable implant that my current dentist would have recommended had he looked at my cracked tooth with a "9" pocket like you looked at. Not laughing.
