DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE I am beyond frustrated and honestly furious with how this dental office has treated me and completely disregarded my time. I was originally scheduled for a cleaning back in March 2026. Literally ONE DAY before my appointment, I was called and told it had to be canceled. I was then rescheduled all the way out to September. After waiting MONTHS, I finally show up for my scheduled appointment, only to find that THE OFFICE IS CLOSED.And the worst part? NO ONE CONTACTED ME. No phone call, no text, no email -- absolutely NOTHING. I had to stand outside the closed office and look around to figure out what was going on. I eventually saw a sign saying to contact the Gilroy office because of office maintenance. I tried calling, and THEY DIDN'T EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. So now I'm standing outside a closed dental office, trying to figure out why my appointment isn't happening, and I can't even get someone on the phone. When I finally got through to someone at the Gilroy office, I was told they don't have enough dental hygienists to perform cleanings. I explained that I was never contacted or given any notification about this, and all I was told was that the next time a hygienist would be in the office was September 17. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I waited from March until September, only to show up for an appointment that wasn't going to happen in the first place. How difficult is it to pick up a phone and notify your patients? And here's the part that really makes me angry: Every time you call this office, their automated recording says, "Patient satisfaction is our main priority." WHAT A JOKE. Patient satisfaction clearly is NOT the priority when patients aren't even given the basic courtesy of being notified that their appointment has been canceled or that the office is closed. Don't put "patient satisfaction is our main priority" in your recording when your actions show the complete opposite. Your patients' time should matter just as much as yours. I shouldn't have to drive to an appointment, find a CLOSED OFFICE, search for a sign, struggle to get someone on the phone, and then find out that the office doesn't even have enough hygienists to provide the service I was scheduled for. This is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and completely unacceptable. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE SCHEDULING HERE. If you have a busy schedule, have to take time off work, arrange transportation, or simply value your time, DO NOT ASSUME THIS OFFICE WILL COMMUNICATE WITH YOU. I had such a great experience at AccuDental in Watsonville. The whole team was incredibly professional and thorough. I've had a lot of dental traumas/anxiety from past experiences, but the staff really set me at ease from the moment I arrived. Dr. Ghorbani was wonderful, and Bernice and Vanessa were so thoughtful and attentive throughout my visit. Lynnette at the front desk was also extremely helpful, kind, and informative. Although the hygienist was great, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Kumar are far from it. Dr. Reddy gave me my first crown and the process itself was painful. Among other things she pushed back my gums in that tooth so much that while under the anesthesia I was still suffering. She seemed to feel that pain is just a part of the process. When I came back later in the week complaining of pain and sensitivity in that tooth, Dr. Reddy told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste for two months and guaranteed that the pain would subside. It has been 6 months now and I went back to have it checked, they did an X-ray and said that I have inflammation below the roots of that tooth and that I may need a root canal. I have never had pain with dental work before so I cannot get myself to go back to them. I have been paying $200 a month for that pain! I have to see another dentist now to see what can be done. read more

Do not use Accu-Dental or see owner/dentist Suman Ramakumar (dr. Kumar) if you value your mouth. I paid Kumar $27000.00 for 26 month's of a living nightmare. My teeth were wasted and had to come out and get over denture implants. Kumar was so nice and convincing that it all could be done. Then I paid her in full. And that is when the nightmare began. First, one of Kumar's assistant needed to take a impression of my teeth. Once the molding goop was dry, she had to take them out. She pulled so hard to the the mold out, that she damaged some of my trigeminal nerves. I started to have headaches and Kumar assured me this was "normal" and that they would go away eventually. That was the first of so many lies Kumar was to tell me. Five month's later, with headaches still going on, I saw my nuerologist and had a MRI done and he saw the damge she did and that my headaches will probably never go away, never. My nuerologist will testify to this in court. In the beginning, Kumar had to do surgery to take all my teeth out and put in the implants. About a week later, implants started coming out. Kumar once again said this was "normal." But she would have to do another surgery to put implants back in. Now get this! She tried to charge me for the second surgery! I told her that it was not my fault that they came out. It was her awful job of putting them in. After figuring out that I was not that stupid and gullable, she did the second surgery. There is more to this part, but you get the picture. They stayed in until her lab people got ahold of me and ended up yanking two out while pulling out my snap on teeth. Loosened a third and she had to replace those. The picture I enclosed is her awful work on my lower gum. Kumar loved to cancel appointments. Always cancelling and I would have to wait another month, unless I wanted to travel to other offices. Which she knew I could not do, due to my disability. If her assistant called in sick, kumar would usually cancel as well. She knew so little about snap on dentures that if her assistant called in, Kumar was like a chicken with it's head cut off. She did not know what to do without a assistant. Kumar is very clumsy with her hands and would always cause pain when working in my mouth. If kumar was working in my mouth, I was in pain. She would have to use this tiny socket wrench to remove the caps of my implant or tighten them and would always slip and cut up my gums. And she would always be looking around at what everyone else was doing or talking about. She had to be involved in the office gossip or jokes. She was never paying attention to what she was doing. Always looking around and joking with employees. And that laugh! That awful, annoying fake laugh of hers. You wanted to clamp your ears with your hands. Even her employees were annoyed with her laugh. But they had to put up with it. Well, because she signs our paychecks, is what one assistant told me. Kumar could never figure out how to keep my snap on dentures to stay snapped in. I would leave my visits (always bleeding or sore by her clumsyness) with them in place and maybe three days at the most, they would not stay snapped in. They would just "fall" out when I opened my mouth. They would either not stay snapped in or when I bit down, the dentures would cut up my gums. If I bit down to hard, the implants would put pressure on a nerve, and oh the pain. I would text her and she would answer that sometimes that was "normal" and she would fix it next month's visit. Always next month and always "normal." I would go back in a month, that is if she did not cancel, and she would attempt to try again, and again they would not stay in. With the pain as usual. Now mind you, I asked for my money back a couple times with the reply of no. What could I do? Bottom line. Kumar has not a clue on what she is doing. But she did know how to goof off. She would be working on my mouth and then tell me that something had to hold for five minutes. Always five minutes, and the she would be off somewhere laughing that awful fake laugh and joking around. If she wasn't laughing, she would be looking or texting on her phone. I swear at times, I believe she was looking up on how to do something, because most of the time, she had no clue what she was doing. The horrific pain and suffering that Kumar brought upon me was very depressing. I missed so many family gatherings because of Kumars inability to finish my dentures. Birthdays, engagement parties, weddings, social gatherings. I mean, who wants to be seen in public with no teeth, or worse, teeth that fall out when you open your mouth? At one moment, I did not want to be around anymore. Kumar had drained so much life out of me from not being able to do the work she so assured me she could do. I wish I could write more of my nightmare, but yelp limits how much. I have other stories from her other office visits as well. Do not let Kumar work on your mouth!! read more

I DO NOT recommend this dental office for two very important reasons, ok maybe three. For starters the main dentist is always changing except the female middle eastern lady, but she's very moody and vague, and that was told to me by one of the assistance personally. Second I was told I was applying for a interest free loan through lending point. I just realized almost a year later im paying more interest then I actually borrowed. When I called landing point to inquire the gal told me..." The zero interest is something offered through your dental office, they have a code specific to them they must enter because we don't offer those rates to everyone " yet "Loretta"or whatever her name is ,the accountant at Accudental said that's a flat out lie. So basically she's calling lending point representatives and myself liars. The last reason and this is the worst thing yet, they claim they have already completed the contracted work and I have a negative balance. That's a partial bridge, a root canal, and an extraction. They have done nothing except glue on some cap that caused my tooth to break off completely inside my gum so it's gonna be another $1000 dollars to fix which is why I hadn't gone back to complete the work. And for those reasons I definitely do not recommend this place. Oh and one more thing they tell you flat out that if you book an appointment with the specialist in Salinas and miss it they charge like $200, I don't even believe that's legal, then they try and pull that same thing here in the local office without even notifying you when you make the appointment. They may act like their trying to work with you and are empathetic to your situation but their just a bunch of scammers... buyer be ware of this place!!! read more

Now I'm stuck with a temporary crown because the dentist isn't available for a month. They persuaded me to pay the whole cost upfront by offering a discount, now I wonder if that was a bad idea. ACCU Dental - Nice Receiving Area - General Dentistry Near Me - Watsonville, California

You wouldn't get an auto loan from a dealership without driving home in the car. So, why would I pre-pay in full for dental treatments before they do any work??? The front desk receptionists are all very nice. But, I did have a big problem with mis-communication. You should be aware up front. I went in for a checkup evaluation. I got a dental treatment plan from the doctor, which totaled over $14,200. My Delta Care insurance would only cover $400 of that, so I had a lot to pay out of pocket! One of the staff suggested to me that I could apply for their Wells Fargo Health Advantage card so that I could make monthly payments. I applied and was approved with what I thought was a credit limit of $10,200. She ran the new card number and applied that amount toward my treatment plan. I thought this was like any other credit card situation where you get a credit limit, with a card to use for each time you visit the dentist, to charge the card once per transaction, and later be billed each month. That was NOT the case. I was charged the entire amount ($10,200) up front. I was very confused and not understanding this even as I signed her paperwork and left. About 1/2 hour later, after I read all of the paperwork copies and saw that there was a receipt for the total amount (NOT obvious to me at the time of signing), I freaked out! I went in for a routine checkup with a $10 copay, and I left their office $10K in debt! I called their office as soon as I noticed this and spoke with the same lady from earlier. I told her that I didn't understand what I was getting into and asked her to please call Wells Fargo, to refund the charges back to the card. She called me back and said that she was able to refund the total amount. I am very grateful for her understanding and professionalism. Why would anyone pay such a huge down payment up front, without receiving anything in return out the door? If I only went in for one, or two treatments and never returned, Accu Dental would still keep all of my money that I would have to pay off. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. First time I was here I was charged 80 for a cleaning was told they didn't have time and they would do the other half with the next appoinment. Then they kept pushing my appoinment and I moved it once cuz apperently they're so busy. Come in today and was told I'm getting charge the remainder of the cleaning even though they told me I only had to pay the for two instead of 3 and also they hit me with the deductible charge when previously I wasn't told that. I normally don't go out of my way to review bad experiences/places but today I was left flabbergasted. My son had an appointment with the Dr Eric Allen. Mind you I did a lot of research before I decided on this family dentistry. I wanted to pick a place that was inviting and comfortable for my kids and Today I was left speechless. As soon as he came in to meet with us his first question without introducing himself like a professional was " Do-you- understand me?" as he looked at me up and down, didint smile at all to make it seem friendly. I'm a Hispanic female who's main language is English, just because I look a certain way doesn't mean I don't speak English. That was the first uncomfortable red flag that left me humiliated in front of my son. The second remark was, instead of asking my son and making him feel comfortable, he was asking me questions about his condition like " does he have any swelling? " to which I responded, "I think he knows his mouth better than I do, and he would be the best person to ask" he then asked " Do you guys not live together?" Number one that has nothing to do with anything and is none of his business. He then asked " who's his dentist " why would I be there if this was not his dentist?? His attitude and vibe were completely uncomfortable and condescending. When I asked what was the aftercare, he told the assistant to explain it to me right now and took off. The whole consultation lasted no more than 5 minutes. It is exactly what I don't want in a family dentist. I hope he reads this and takes tips about how to properly communicate and connect with his patients. I will be looking for another place to to take my family. First time here, I filled out paperwork & then waited about fifteen minutes. The girls at the front desk were really nice and helped me make sure my insurance would pay for everything. Then, I got x-rays taken, my teeth cleaned, and saw the doctor. Everyone was really kind and polite. The hygienist used basically a high-powered water pic and the usual tools to clean, then polished my teeth as usual. At my old dentist's office the polish/toothpaste is flavored, and here it is not. This is the worst place I've ever been to. I needed a lot of work and got shuffled around from dentist to dentist for years here. One of them almost started drilling on the wrong side of my mouth. Luckily I stopped him and he double checked the x-rays and sure enough he was about to drill the wrong tooth! I had oral surgery here and it got infected and super painful years later and went to a "real" dentist who was shocked at the awful work they had done. I had a very good experience with ACCU Dental. From the front desk to the dental techs to the dentist, I was very pleased throughout. Lynn at the front desk was very professional and clear with me about billing and appointments. They have an e-mail and phone service to verify appointments. The system was effective to the point of being annoying... which is good because it kept me on time with my appointments. Dr. Ganji was very direct and clear about my dental health and the treatments available to me. I really appreciated his manner in dealing with me. He's methodical in a way that I wouldn't say is cold at all. The office was always busy during my appointments, and I could tell that he was under some time pressure to see patients, yet I didn't feel that my care was affected at all. To the contrary, I was surprised how much attention he was able to pay to me even with a full schedule. The dental techs who worked with me were also very good. I worked mostly with Jasmine who did a great job helping to make me feel comfortable throughout. The staff seemed very competent and prepared for my appointments. When issues did arise, I felt that Dr. Ganji issued clear direction and they followed his lead well. I don't want to say that everything was perfect, and if I had the option I would probably rate this 4.5 stars. There was one error in fabrication of my bridge, but very much to his credit, Dr. Ganji made the error right by having the bridge remade and rescheduling me for new appointments as soon as possible.
