I've been here three times so far & always had such a fun time painting. I've done a Halloween Pumpkin, a Great White Shark, & a Sugar Skull. The staff (Albert & Alexandra) are super friendly & helpful. This is a great place to go relax, take a date, have a family outing, celebrate a birthday party or other group event. How it Works: You come in, choose what you want to paint, they help you setup your paint, give you brushes, & all the tools you will need. If you chose a ceramic piece, you will need to put on several coats of paint. My sugar skull took five hours to finish painting, but I'm a perfectionist. I was able to do the Great White Shark in just under two hours. You can do it faster, but it will not come out as nice if you rush the process. The key is in applying multiple coats & letting each coat dry properly before starting the next. They have hair dryers to assist in speeding up the drying process. Once your work of art is completed, they will glaze it, & then fire it in the kiln. This process takes almost a full week so advise any children or millenials you are taking, that they will not have the instant gratification of bringing their new art project home the same day. Once your piece is ready, they will call to let you know so you can come pick it up. Cost: For the entertainment alone, it's money well spent. Your ceramic of choice will vary in cost depending on size, but it is an all inclusive price, so there are no add-ons or extra fees to pay. The cost includes your ceramic, the use of their paint & brushes, glazing, & firing. Expect to pay around $20-$50+ each depending on the ceramic you choose to paint. The experience is worth every penny in my honest opinion. There are other non-ceramic related things to paint as well. The Setup: There are two large rooms, each with several tables. The room in the back is sometimes utilized for parties or large groups. There is music, the place is clean, the staff is friendly & helpful. Would I return for a 4th visit? Most definitely!

Amazing place to spend quality time with your family ! I've been coming with my kids for years! Alex, Albert and Edilia are great! They have patience and take time to work with your kids! The prices for all of the projects are phenomenal! Don't think twice about it! Bring your kids to Tea Thyme !

Our Girl Scout troop came here for the second time for a troop activity. This time the girls painted self portraits of themselves as Brownies. My Cub Scout son came along too and did his very own painting. Love this place. The kids have so much fun and the projects come out super cute!

Six weeks later, I can finally write this review…read more Woohoo! For those not aware, my latest endeavor was signing up for a six-week pottery course with one of my best friends who also happens to be my work husband. What motivated this endeavor? I am a bored and crazy soul. That, and admittedly, this was on my bucket list for years. You see, my mother used to do ceramics and she would never stop talking about how I needed to try it as well. Turns out that while my mother had talent for pottery, I am abysmal at it. The only real competition I have is my dear friend. We cannot seem to decide whose pottery is worse. Semantics aside, the Ceramic League of Miami can be located in the village of Pinecrest. It essentially is an open-spaced garage full of pottery wheels, bookshelves, and clay galore. They have an area for parking, and on the off chance it's packed, there's plenty of businesses around where you can park. Everything in this area is pretty relaxed. Classes can either be daytime or nighttime Monday through Saturday. We signed up for the 2:30 PM Saturday class for the pottery wheel and soda kiln with James. The signing up process was relatively simple. We did everything online. When we began the class, we were given the option of purchasing a tool set. You needed to bring exact change for this. $14 to be specific. If you didn't get this for whatever reason (usually the school running out of them), you could share with the instructor and/or other students. This is what ended up happening to me. This six-week pottery course cost $155 and it included two and a half hours of instruction every Saturday, as well as what I refer to as that horribly heavy 20+ lb of clay bag. The class is over and I have leftover clay. What the heck am I supposed to do with it? I have clay in places I never thought I would. Cough; I am referencing my box of art supplies in my car. Yes, I can effectively now say I've become an artist. If you become a member of this non-profit organization, the class will cost you $145 instead. Overall, I thought the prices fair for what we did. We received a lot of personal instruction and got to get our hands down and dirty. Unfortunately the movie Ghost sets up unrealistic expectations when it comes to clay. Noting that, if you go in with an open mind, this is a blast; a frustrating blast but a blast nevertheless. I found James to be an efficient and kind instructor. I just wish there had been more organization on his part. We never really got to mark our pieces properly, but oh well. I would probably do this again in the future. For now though, this girl is off to her next venture: aerial yoga!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a creative and relaxing day. Big Kid was so welcoming, and her mom, Squirrel Bait, was incredibly helpful when it came to guiding us through our craft creations. We were a large group, and they made sure everyone felt comfortable and had what they needed. If you're planning to make items out of clay, be prepared to spend several hours--it's a detailed process, but also very therapeutic. Painting was so relaxing, and the studio allows you to bring your own food and drinks, which made it feel even more like a fun gathering with friends. A large selection of items to paint for all ages! There is a studio fee and prices per items are reasonable. This place is definitely a must-visit and would be perfect for a Yelp event or any kind of group get-together. We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a creative and enjoyable experience!

I'm sad they took away the canvas painting options as that was the reason we drove 30 min just to come to this specific location. My fault as I should have called first to double check if they still offered the canvas painting. This is the only location I knew of that did that. Oh well. There is a huge selection of pottery pieces to choose from. Prices vary pending on your selection. Came here with my daughter and she selected the cute little tea set. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price at $54! But this is what she wanted so I cannot deny her happiness. Haha. I mean I can but I didn't know want to. It took me a while to find what I wanted to paint that was practical. We have so many pottery pieces the kids make that are just for decoration. Love when we make plates, mugs, bowls or any kitchen pieces as they are most practical. I chose the geometric vase! The vase was $37. There is also an additional $8/per person studio fee to use everything (brushes, paint, materials). This stuff can add up quickly. Our total was $117! Ouch. But fun and you can't put a price on fun experiences. Lol. Once you pick your piece, the staff will bring you a bowl of water and a paint palette. All brushes located at the tables. The you select the colors you want and put onto your palette and bring back to the table to start painting. We took our time and was here for 2 hours. But our pieces were meticulous. Ha. They also offer coffee here which is a nice bonus. Once you're done painting your piece, you can use the blow dryer to dry the paint, this prevents smearing. Give the finished pieces to the staff and they will label it for the final touch of glazing and thus completing the process. It takes about 7 days and they will call you when it's done so you can come back and pick up the finished product. Can't wait to see ours!

We sat outside because there was only two of us. If not, we were going to have to wait until someone was done. it was a beautiful day until it starts to get hot. The breeze dies down and people are smoking past you as you are outside. I am excited about getting my artwork. It'll take about two weeks.
