Art Med transportation is the worst transportation service ever. They are: disorganized and disrespectful (downright rude). Here we go: I needed a ride to a doctors appt. My health ins. covers these rides to and from Drs appointments. They arrange the transportation. They chose Art Med. The driver who picked me up to take me to the appt. was an older gentleman and his driving was scary (he seemed nervous which made me nervous). Bigger issue, his English was horrible. I couldn't communicate with him very well at all. This alone was unacceptable because I couldn't help him get to my destination. When he was driving the wrong way, I tried to tell him but he refused to listen or even try to understand. We finally arrived (after he took a long and wrong way to get there). He was unsure of his driving and drove very slowly. When we arrived at the office, he originally entered the parking lot but there was no patient entrance there (which I had tried to tell him, but he wouldn't even try to listen/understand). He then got us out of the parking lot but he went the wrong way on a One Way street! Again, I was telling him, even pointing at the sign but he ignored me and still drove the wrong way (I'm just glad there was no traffic at the time, phew!). I said at one point that his English wasn't very good and that was causing us problems. His response to me was, "I'm not a good immigrant". Huh? I never said that. I said to him, "No, I didn't say that, I said your English". I did not appreciate him implying that that was what I said.
I then called their offices to complain about the driver and explained everything to the rep. who answered the phone. I asked her at the time if they were also the company scheduled to bring me back home from my appointment. She said, no. Guess what? Yes, same company came (disorganized much!). Wait, it gets worse. This driver ALSO didn't speak English well but she was also rude and "pretended" that she couldn't understand some things that I knew she could have understood. I saw her driving to come pick me up. As they never gave/texted a car make/model plates to look for, I assumed she was my ride. I had seen her go into the same parking lot, come out of the lot looking for me and AGAIN she came out going in the wrong direction on the One Way street! There is a big sign as you're exiting the parking lot that says, One Way, with the big, black arrow pointing in the direction you're supposed to go in (I'm not in the car at this point but still walking toward her). She stopped at the end of the street (that she had gone the wrong way on) then put the car in reverse and reversed back to the same parking lot and parked. I approached her car and confirmed that she was there for me. Before I got in the car, I was trying to explain about the One way street, even pointing at the sign. She 'refused' to look at why/what I was pointing at. This was intentional (the not looking). She then calls her office (for a translator, I guess). She has the person on the phone that I had spoken to earlier. I explained the same thing (as with the first driver). I told the lady on the phone to ask the driver to look at what I was pointing at (to see the one way sign). The rep. on the phone didn't know what the word 'point' meant!! Wow!! She said, "point?" and then hands call to the owner/boss. He talked to the driver in their language, and I guess she gave her story to him but I don't know what was said. He said, "Well she's parked" (as if to say, she can't be going the wrong way because she is parked!). I guess she didn't know that I had been outside waiting and I saw her with my own eyes!!!! The rude boss refused to tell me if he explained to her and he rudely snapped at me, saying, "Do you want a ride or not!!". I said, NOT and walked away. Rude, rude, rude. And that lady driver was an a**. She knew she was busted (because I saw her) and she adamantly refused, over and over, to look at what I was pointing at! Whether we spoke the same language or not, I think it's universally understood that if someone is pointing at something, you follow their finger with your eye in the direction of the darned finger!!! Horrible company, owner/boss, drivers. Don't use these people.... read more
