We checked in, got a visitors pass and went to the maternity floor. We got to the floor and had to push a button at the intercom to be let in to that section. A nurse came in to teach my sister in law how to get the baby to latch when breastfeeding and just giving her great information. She was extremely friendly and patient when my sister in law would ask her question. All of the nurses were extremely friendly and so helpful. They were taking great care of my sister in law and niece. On the main floor where you check in they have a coffee robot. I ordered the iced dirty matcha (w/espresso & almond milk) it was $6.24. The drink was maybe a medium size. (I did not get a picture I was too excited to see the baby ). The drink was so delicious, it was perfect not sweet and well worth the price and convenience.

Beware, this ER is not safe and they do not prioritize their patients' care and wellbeing…read more My sister is dead now. But I still remember her first day in this ER and the atrocious care she was given. She was discharged home from the ER at midnight, in an ambulance (in an ambulance because she could not walk due to paralysis she was having on one leg -- scary, right?), and the ambulance drivers brought her upstairs to her apartment on a gurney and placed her on her couch and left. She lived alone and had no friends/family nearby. She realized her cell phone was almost out of charge and could not physically get her power cord, so she called them to come back and help plug in her phone at least (which they did.) Once it charged, she call her far-away family with the update that she was home, but still having paralysis -- with no realistic diagnosis. During days of expensive in-home nursing care 8-8pm while the family regrouped on next steps, one late night she tried to get to the restroom on her own, but fell and fractured her leg. In the days immediately following, at another hospital, she was diagnosed (after proper scans were done) with stage 4 cancer -- a 28cm tumor on a primary organ. That would have been hard to miss had Glendale even done scans to explore her symptoms of PARALYSIS. (Oh, about the leg paralysis: the cancer had metasticized to a primary joint that was so badly necrosed her leg did not work. And that was before the fracture from a fall.) She was already in bad, bad shape when she initially got herself to the Glendale ER that first day. Next, we quickly moved on with a new hospital and providers, and did not have time to deal with that first 18 hrs at Glendale. Eventual follow up calls to their patient satisfaction team quickly resulted in: "Call the manager of the ER with your complaints." No real accountability from the pt satisfaction team. Or maybe they were just sick and tired of trying to field the complaints about their ER. Between the midnight dumping on her couch by the transit company (at the hospital's orchestration) and the egregious misstep of not performing some tests to begin to identify her issue -- my poor sister received nothing that I would say resembled "care." Far from it. Their dismissiveness and poor care even paved the way for an additional injury from a fall -- a complicated hip fracture that took 3 painful months to heal, on top of stage 4 cancer. Glendale, you made her health worse and delayed her from getting the right diagnosis and care at a catastrophic time. There are amazingly empathetic healthcare workers out there who have devoted their careers to caring for others and do it well -- keep searching for those dedicated, skilled healthcare workers! Avoid this Glendale hospital if you need help.

The view from the room was inredible and the food from the restaurant downstairs restaurant was really good. the best thing that was said it was so quiet and not like a hospital where you have so much going on on what time you close your door and nobody would bother you except I need to come for medications. I had a smaller room but perfect size.

Most of my reviews are about healthcare because I believe that we have to look out for each other. So here are the things that went wrong 1) I was at Prive because my doctor has an interest in the facility. So my first problem is, I was promised I would be billed, then received a call on a Thursday, when my surgery was on a Tuesday morning, that I had to pay upfront. So, if you need to be billed, have it done at a hospital. 2) The aftercare takers are home health specialists. Which means, you don't have the same type of care or knowledge from most of the caretakers as you would from an RN at a hospital. One of the main problems is they didn't explain my medications, or proactively care by interpreting my needs (ice pack, water) 3) my first caretaker, I believe her name is Shelly, asked me how much pain medication I should have. Not how much pain, but asked me to tell her how many pills. The problem is I had no idea what dosage of my pain meds were, and more importantly, I'm not a doctor or nurse. 4) this same caretaker, told me, After I requested pain meds, water, ice packs, and help to the bathroom, but she forgot the ice pack and/or water, and I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet, so when I reminded her, she said "you need to ask for everything at once, I now have another patient". On her return, she repeated it. Because she made me feel so uncomfortable, I asked my father to help me get out of bed (I had spine surgery) to go to the bathroom, asked my father to keep those leg massaging things unplugged (because my hands were too weak too plug and unplug). 5) she left, and the light of stay Debra came to my aid. She brought chocolate to me and took very good care of me. 6( however, the weirdest thing to happen was while I was all doped up at 5:30 am, Joan told me about a skin cream they had at the office. I told her I didn't have money but it sounded great. She got my chart, asked if my email on the chart was my correct email, and then emailed MULTI LEVEL MARKETING videos, not a cream that the office sells. 7) when I called Joan from my room to get ibuprofen, she said I didn't have any. I told her I did, because I already had it. She said, without putting me on hold, that she didn't see it. I said well I have a prescription I brought with me, but didn't know if it would be okay if I took it. She said get your own. To recap: Alright, the pluses: there is free candy, yummy food from Kreation, a gorgeous room, and Debra. Give her a raise. The negatives are if you have a major surgery like two artificial discs and shaving down bones in your neck, at least in my unfortunate experience, they are not capable of caring for you properly. So, I advise you to stay in a hospital after this type of surgery.

Uber car seat didn't seem to be a reliable option and ride hailing services required a super far transfer to another pickup location. The bus was also triple the time to our destination near the cruise port. Go Ride was very clear about their pricing and they were detailed when answering a follow up question I had about pickup time which was fortunate as our flight ended up getting in 30 mins earlier than scheduled. Our driver, Oscar, arrived early to pick us up - I received an iMessage from him before landing using my airline's in-flight wifi - I was able to send him updates as we got off the plane and got our bags. He pulled up within 5 mins of my last message when we had our bags conveniently right outside the terminal. It was so easy I didn't even need to rent the $8 USD luggage cart and my kids didn't have enough time to complain about any wait. Oscar was really helpful with our bags and had all the car seats already installed correctly! All seats were facing the correct direction, solid, tight and the only adjustment needed was for the actual seat belts themselves to secure the kids. Oscar offered us bottles of water and we were off to the hotel. On the way we had a nice chat and he was totally OK with the youngest child crying for a bit while navigating LA's notorious traffic (he said it was light but to me it was busy). Drop off at the hotel was smooth and we tipped in cash for great service - he impressed us! Definitely would recommend to anyone especially families looking for a smooth experience getting anywhere from LAX airport. I will be using them again for future travel. Pricing: reasonable and competitive for door to door private car service with car seats. Communication: from booking to actual day of it was the right amount of detail Quality: car and car seats were super clean Safety: our driver Oscar was safe while navigating LA's freeway and street traffic. Car seats were properly installed and well maintained. Convenience: Door to door service was amazing and easy - I had bags but didn't require a luggage cart at all. Time saved = more relaxation time = less whiny little ones Thanks again Oscar and Go Ride!
