The reviews were kind of mixed so I hope I can clear it up for anyone else considering Live Health Center! I came here for a couples massage with mini facials and a foot bath with reflexology (Groupon deal, also check deals on their website). We arrived a half hour early and were prepared to wait, however they immediately took us back. It is true that the walls do not go all the way up and you can hear other noises, but I don't feel this took away from the experience at all. The staff were amazing and so attentive for the entire two hours. By the end we were so relaxed. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning! For others like me who will be having their first spa experience, let me just give a few more details...When we were taken back to our room, we were told to take off our clothes. We were both unsure if we should be completely naked or leave on the little bits. I would recommend leaving on underwear for anyone who is not comfortable. Everything else will need to come off for the oil massage, but you're covered by a blanket the entire time. They may adjust the blanket to reach your thighs or butt (yes, they massage your butt lol), which sounds like it would be uncomfortable but actually isn't after the initial shock. The hot stones feel amazing for anyone thinking of trying them! I totally recommend. As far as tipping, it's like any other service. Yes, you should tip. We tipped a little over 20% for the priced paid because we enjoyed it so much. Try it out you won't regret! A true bang for your buck compared to other places we checked out online.

I came across Natures Health Spa on Groupon. We called and asked for availability for a couples massage , the person on the phone said "no Groupon today" but offered us $130 for 1 hour couples massage. The place was clean and we were greeted promptly. No one spoke much English but the woman at the front directed us to a room to get changed. Our massages were good. We weren't asked what type we wanted (Swedish, Deep tissue, etc) but the pressure was good. First was a dry massage with a sheet and then she switched to a Swedish massage technique with oil, and finished with hot stones. Overall, we were happy with our massages and would go back. It's not the best massage place I've been (which is why 4 stars) but good for the value compared to places in the area.

I had no idea what to expect from my experience when I booked a signature massage, but what I can…read moretell you is that the massage was amazing. Now, I will say that it took me a moment to arrive to this conclusion. Not entirely knowing what to expect and having not asked many questions prior to the start (I like to be surprised), I was a bit confused when the massage started. Let me back up: before the massage, I completed a form which took a couple minutes, and then Melvin, who also ended up being my therapist, and is the owner of this spot, started asking me more pointed questions about the things I was feeling in my body, some of my history, etc. He was very thorough in his line of questioning and I appreciated that. You should definitely plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete the form and answer some of these questions. When's the initial intake was over, we headed to the treatment room. The treatment room is very tranquil and dark. The bed is super comfortable and heated. The sheets and headrest are clean with no lingering smells, which I have experienced at other places in this area. For the first 10 minutes or so of my massage, I was mentally trying to pinpoint the type of massage that it was. After a while, I realized that it was, in fact, a signature massage that combined a number of different modalities. In one session, I experienced deep tissue, myofascial release, theragun, acupressure, and a couple other things. That said, if you walk into your experience looking for something specific or even looking for a hyper traditional massage, you may be disappointed. Maybe you can request that, but feeling the way I felt when I got off the table, you'll probably just want to trust Melvin. Once I gave into the process and let my body feel everything, I realized the intentionality of the work. In just an hour, Melvin was able to pinpoint certain areas and sensitivities I had not yet realized, clearly drawing connections between one body part and another, and doing his best to relieve pressure from both. By the time the massage ended, I had to pretty much peel myself off of the table to avoid slipping into a deep sleep because my body felt so good. I am the type of person who typically gets a certain type of natural high after really good massages and really good acupuncture sessions. This massage left me with that feeling. I would definitely recommend. However, I would also recommend that you keep an open mind when booking an appointment because not everything is going to be the same as what you might get at a big box, membership style place or similar. A couple quick notes: the building sits on the corner, and the suite is located in the basement. There is an elevator, and there are bathrooms on the basement level. You will be asked to strip down to just your lower underwear. That is pretty standard, but for people who that might freak out, just wanted to forewarn you. Parking is free in the attached lot. The lot is a little packed, but she'll probably be able to find a spot. If not, there are spots and an accompanying lot nearby.

When I got there, the masseuse seemed surprised her business was even on Groupon. She asked how much I paid, then told me I needed an appointment. Me: "I know. That's why I'm here. For the appointment." Then came the next surprise. The Groupon was for a chair massage and reflexology, but she said she didn't even have a chair. For the chair massage she was advertising on Groupon?? Instead, both masseuses were just sitting there, totally available, and instead of honoring the Groupon they advertised, they wanted us to pay $160 out of pocket ($80 each). Apparently the Groupon was just there for decoration. Did I just get punked? Lady do you know much gas is?! So to recap: Bought Groupon Called and scheduled appointment Drove through thunderstorms and possible tornado weather Showed up on time Groupon honored Chair existed Massage received If you're not going to accept Groupon customers, don't advertise on Groupon. My shoulders were in pain at night, and I finally decided to book the monthly massage but none would take last-minute appointment due to staff being unavailable. I reached out Andi through her website and asked if it was even possible, given that places tend to require 24-hour notice. Andi responded back in the morning with a YES! and send the intake form right away so I could secure the spot. This was my first time coming to a privately owned massage business, so I was not sure how it would be different or same to establishments I had been to. Andi's massage addressed my areas of concern, including shoulders and feet. Let's not forget the wonderful head massage at the end which I did not expect!
