I have an unworn half eternity ring that needed sized from 5.5 to 6.25. I took the ring to Michael…read moreHill in the Masonville Mall who told me they could resize the ring in two weeks for $100. When I decided to proceed, I was then told that since the small diamonds took up half of the ring that I might need a new shank and that would cost $350. I was not interested in doing that so it was sent it off asking for a confirmation that it could be sized without compromising the stones before starting the work. I waited two weeks to find out it could be, but now it wasn't the stones that were the problem, it was the shank. It would now cost $140 to ensure that the shank would not become too thin when resized. I've had many rings resized and this has never been a concern, especially with such a small resize. I have been given a different story with every person I have talked to at MH. It has been difficult getting straight information and now I doubt any information I am given. I planned to give this ring as a gift and now it will NOT be ready as promised. I have asked to have the ring returned un-sized and have vowed to never trust Michael Hill with a repair or purchase in the future. Michael Hill needs to correct their business practices so other customers are not disappointed, confused, and/or taken advantage of. Update: I spoke with the store manager and she feels that her staff have followed company protocols and there is little else that can be done to resolve this issue.

Their quality was exceptional, the wrapping and overall stretching of my print was perfect! These guys did an outstanding job all around. Their prices are a bit higher than Costco and some other online retailers that I have used in the past but those companies cannot match this London-based company. Their quality is is top notch and the prices are more than reasonable when considering the level of service and quality craftsmanship. I received my print the next day, there doesn't seem to be any other company around that I know of that offers this level of service. Two thumbs up! I recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a canvas printing service.

It shows two people walking. Very symbolic and meaningful. Would you believe that the back wire was attached to the bottom part of the frame, and unevely?? Now I have to open the packaging, correct this inexcusable error and hand over a gift that will look amateur and sloppy. The original packaging was well done but sadly I certainly won't be able to present it that way. I contacted customer service and they said that this rarely happens, with their apologies. Well, that's reassuring, isn't it? It might not happen often yet it happened to me, leaving me very disappointed and unimpressed.

I was treated very well, staff are very friendly & polite. I appreciated the time that was given me to explain my options & the fact that the highest price option wasn't being pushed on me. It was an estate ring that my mother wore for years & so it held sentimental value for me, he took the time to explain to me the probable age & value of this ring. When I picked my ring up the sizing was perfect, I couldn't even tell where the added piece had been put in & he had found a small piece of the more expensive metal & used it, & only charged me the lesser price. I couldn't believe the generosity but I certainly appreciated it. I will go no where else for any repairs now that I have found Daniel A Jewellery & will highly recommend this jewellery store for anyone that is looking for jewellery as they have beautiful jewellery in their cases or if someone needs repairs to their jewellery
