Artist JEN WAS VERY RUDE, did a very MEDIOCRE job on my tattoo a couple years ago, TBH. I thought by her past work she would be better, but she wasn't very passionate about work , and it's fading and looks terrible already after just 3 years. Not sure about other artist at the shop . read more

This was by far our best tattoo and experience. The venue was clean and comfortable. Really was surprised at the interior and how everything looked. Even the restrooms had a cool style to them. It was very upscale but with that artistic edge that you would expect in a tattoo parlor. My wife got a large thigh piece today, and we think it is super well done. What follows is her comments on the actual process... Drew Collins has a very light touch with the tattoo gun, it barely hurt. Can't say it didn't hurt at all. If you've had a tattoo before, you will know that there is a measure of pain involved, but this was by far the lightest touch of a tattoo that I have had. The lines are super clean and crisp, and I can't wait to go back for fill in shading in a month. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and the customer service is excellent! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in getting beautiful art put on their body! read more

Art Attack Tattoo - Snakebite piercing - Tattoo Near Me - Winston Salem, North Carolina

Have you ever wondered what makes someone get a tattoo? What about the pain and the lifelong commitment? I did. But then I wanted to memorialize my dog and I felt a tattoo would be a good way to do it. I scoured the internet for a quality shop. I asked people with tattoos for shop recommendations. I ended up finding Art Attack on my own. I liked the clever name, the look of the shop was clean, modern and not scary and they had mostly good reviews. The complaint reviews were handled well. I emailed them with a jillion questions. They suggested I come in, talk with them, look around and if I was still interested I could make an appointment. My husband, the most supportive man I've ever known, went with me. We went on Thursday, April Fool's Day. No, that wasn't lost on me but I chose to view it as ironic and funny. The shop was clean and decorated nicely. I especially liked the NO CHILDREN sign because who wants a screaming child startling your tattoo artist?! Kaylie came out and I explained what I was looking for and showed her my drawing. She was very sweet and told me she'd be happy to help and gave me the price of $80.00. She had an opening and I took it. I had no clue as to the process. She took my idea and made a computer drawing for me to review. I tweaked it a little, she revised it and I loved it, so she made a stencil. She took me back to her studio which was bright, airy and neatly organized. The tattoo needle head was hermetically sealed and she opened it in front of me. She explained what she would be doing then cleaned and shaved my arm then cleaned it again. She applied the stencil where I thought I wanted it. She told me to get up and look in the full length mirror to make sure. I decided to move it to the underside, center of my forearm. I asked her to start with the dot and the E (Dottie) just in case I couldn't take it. Honestly, I've had wasp stings that hurt worse so I told her to keep going and I'm so glad I did! She applied Saniderm tape and explained how to take care of it. I purchased their $10 care pack that included a small bottle of liquid soap (smelled like Dial), 6 packets of Aquaphor and a tiny bottle of Lubriderm lotion. I chose to use my own Provon soap that I ordered from Amazon. My tattoo never went thru a messy stage and there was no scabbing or itchiness. My only suggestion for Art Attack is for them to update their website to show their new aftercare guidelines and they do not sell After Inked products so I'm not sure why they are listed. I highly recommend Kaylie! read more

Got a pair of nostril piercings done a few weeks ago after being hesitant for a lot of years because of a negative experience I had with my old one by a different piercer. Quick, clean, perfectly placed, and Lee was super nice handling my concerns. They're healing up great and I love them! read more

After looking for a reasonably priced and reliable piercer, I finally found Lee! She was super sweet and answered all of my questions very throughly. She meticulously mapped out where she was going to pierce my seconds and helix. Art Attack was super easy to find, super clean, and quiet. I'll be going back to Lee for all of my future piercings! read more

My daughter had her nose pierced recently here. Today we had to go to another shop and have it taken out. The jewelry that was used was way too long and now she has to get it redone. She's incredibly upset about this and now I have to pay someone else to redo it. Very disappointing. No instructions were even given as far as aftercare or anything. It was very rushed. read more

Lee was so great. She made you feel completely comfortable and was very knowledgeable on the jewelry that was at the shop. Very nice and I will definitely go back. I went in to change out my stub to a hoop and felt no pain. read more

Drew is phenomenal. We just clicked, which is important especially when getting your first tattoo. I had a discouraging tattoo artist consult with me from another tattoo shop, and I almost gave up on getting a tattoo. Then I messaged Art Attack, and immediately I heard back from Drew. He consulted with me the same day. He genuinely cares about his work and is incredibly skilled and good at his craft. Even when I was worried or freaked out with the details and struggled with letting go of my control issues, Drew went above and beyond and was patient, kind, and way fun to be around. I highly recommend Art Attack and Drew. The place is clean and welcoming and the staff are knowledgeable. read more

Jennifer was excellent. The owner and her helped me size and position my custom tattoo and even helped me with the design. The color pops! They also do piercings at Art Attack and had people coming in and out for consultations and estimates. I'll definitely be back for another tattoo. The entire staff was knowledgable, professional, and real up front about everything. Again, the art work and shading was spot on with what I wanted. I'll definitely be back!! read more

Houston did a great job! It was my first time and of course I wanted a tattoo on my rib cage so he took great care of me and did a dry line test before the ink. Just in case I back out and of course I didn't but I'm super glad he at least offered it. I will definitely recommend him and will come back for myself. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! My friend came here to a piercing repierced after it hadn't healed correctly and they were incredibly rude to her. It's not that hard to be nice and convey general concern. The fact that they did not care about her healing at a place that makes permanent changes to your body is so disrespectful. They yelled at her when she expressed concern and it was such a bad experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and don't subject yourself to a bad experience here! read more

I went recently to get my nose pierced and this was a very organized business. Everyone was very friendly, educated, and efficient with the process. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

A few years ago, I got my navel pierced from them. Very clean. I watched them open up new equipment from the packaging. When I was pale in the face, they made sure to wait until I was ready and they got me some M&M's. They put my well-being first. Also, the atmosphere was very peaceful and tranquil. Nothing like the red walls and heavy metal Deja Vu provided. Very pleased. Will return. read more

Excellent experience, I was in Winston-Salem for just a short time and Jennifer was great, friendly and helped me tweak my idea until it was perfect and the tattoo turned out great. I will see her again when I come back for my next piece. Thank you! read more

Huston did a cover-up on my arm and did a great job. The new shop on Reynolda is beautiful. I got my cover-up at the old shop and got the free touch-up in the new shop. The place is really nice. It's definitely THE nicest shop I have ever been in. Definitely first class. read more

I had an existing piercing that I'd gotten somewhere else and was having issues with. I asked if I could come in just to have someone take a look at it. The associate that helped me was very professional and seemed to really know what she was talking about. The store itself was clean and the rest of the staff seemed very friendly. I would highly recommend! read more
