He was great to work with, easy communication, very responsive and friendly, offering suggestions to my design, and guiding me in the right direction. During the tattoo Jave explained everything he was doing before, just so there'd be no surprises, and it went quickly and I'm happy with the end results! As far as the shop, it's conveniently located just off Elm street, right across from Little Brother and Natty Greens. The shops a bit small, and when they've got 4 artists doing tattoos at the same time, the space does get a bit crowded. But they make it work. There's a ton of fun and unique art all over the shop giving you plenty to look at and pass the time while getting work down. In addition to tattoos, they also have someone on staff who provides piercings. She charged me $70 for the piercing because I asked for the proper metal, titanium. Not only did she put the wrong jewelry in for my anatomy, she also pierced it incorrectly. I saw an actually certified piercer today, who told me that the piercing was done horribly and that I should take the jewelry out as soon as possible. I am extremely disappointed in this experience and would like my $70 (plus the tip I gave her) back, but I know I will not get that money. Please choose an actual professional over Vanessa.

If I wasn't looking up, I would've missed it. A couple other artists were with customers when I entered. I was directed to the front desk staff for check in and then paired with the artist and piercer, Bobby. He came to sit with me and chat about my idea. Making me feel welcome and relaxed in a new environment. They have a lounge area located in the rear of the shop and that is where we discussed my tattoo as he drew it out in his tablet. Afterwards he confirmed the piece would fit on my hand and directed me to his chair. Once seated at his station, he went over everything clearly, and showed me all of the tools he was opening and using. He cleaned throughout the process, from beginning to the end of service. The session was about half an hour or 2. Bobby and I chat throughout the process. He and a few of the other artists often engaged in conversation. I enjoyed the light feel of the place and the art displayed. I would return to Bobby for his work and possibly inquire about some of the other artists as well.
