BUYER BEWARE: this business and its owner should be avoided at all costs. Our experience has been a nightmare which culminated in a police report filed after the owner brandished a firearm. We trusted Gina with another project after a prior one went fine. The one in question involved her carelessly leaving dust under the frame. She lied about it being dust and said it was the a flaw on the print. She offered to reframe it if I got a duplicate replacement. When the frame with the duplicate was complete, she returned the original print - no dust was there. She admitted that she had missed the dust. All of this problem could have been easily avoided except due to her carelessness. When we inspected the re-do, we found the previous flawless print/gicle was creased in the frame - print #2 now damaged. She negotiated a replacement with the artist again (#3) and reframed it. Today, when I went to pick it up, I asked for the creased print back (#2.) She refused to give me my original back ... was hostile. When I demanded my property she produced a firearm and threatened me with it in front of my family. The story speaks for itself. A police report was filed with SD Sheriff and complaint filed with the BBB. Update May 2026: the product received from Art & Frame was quoted and priced as premium materials. Updating yet again. I'm sooo sorry that my husband isn't trained in the type of art you do and he was asking for something that was going to look like shit. Maybe instead of charging us 600 dollars for something my nephew could do for free let a customer know what it will look like and that you should come up with an alternate plan. Money was never an issue. He thought it would work. Clearly it didn't. It was your responsibility as an artist to let a customer know what works and what doesn't. Instead of trying to pass off a trash job and pretending to be excited about it. Then freak out when I start asking questions of how I can fix it. I'm not going to get into a keyboard war with you. Everything I have said was correct. You did call a customer and scream and them. Thats literally insane. I think that was more a part of the review I was talking about than your "finished product" that took you all of 15 minutes. Glad we could help you out with paying for that. But we have obviously found someone that will be able to do the work we are asking for so no need for this conversation to go any further. Gina Skillfully Restored a 95 Year Old Chalk Pastel Seascape for my mother. Gina used her years of expertise & quality materials to bring a dingy piece of art back to it's original tones. The before & after look like completely different pieces, Before dull/dingy, after light/bright pastels. Here is mom's review: Give the woman 10 Stars!!!!! Seascape, a pastel made in late 1929 or early 1930, lived in tobacco smoke filled houses until 1994, making it extremely dingy. I took it to Gina at Art & Frame Studio to clean the glass. She found it was backed with disintegrating brown acidic paper. She explained how the acid in the paper was a culprit, not just the smoke & dirty glass that touched the pastel. Gina used her mastery & premium materials to restore the piece. She carefully lifted it from the glass. To stop more damage to the picture, she applied anti-acid spray to the back, added a matting to keep it off the glass allowing the piece breathe, & replaced the glass with museum quality glass. Finally, she cleaned the original frame to bring the piece to a glory I had never seen before. I found sailboats & green on the hills that I never saw before.
