If you're using any other frame shop for your cherished artwork & photos than Gina's Art & Frame in Vista, you're missing out on the BEST personalized, quality service in North County San Diego. Gina is dedicated to provide the BEST advice and professional service to please her customers. We've used her to frame 4 or 5 pieces of Art for our home over several years. She is pleasant & congenial, and takes a personal interest in each person's project. Without asking, Gina. goes the 'extra mile', above & beyond, treating each piece as if it were going into her own home. Example: I brought into her shop a 28x34" framed print that had been on a bedroom wall in our house for 7 years. We noticed bugs had gotten under the glass, and I took it to Gina's for a 'clean-up' last week. She showed me that the paper backing had torn, and that's how the bugs got into the frame. Gina removed & cleaned the glass, removed the bugs, replaced the artwork, added a new & stronger backboard, and new wire to hold a 50-lb frame. She even touched up some spots on the green colored frame The entire frame & artwork has a new refreshed look. I'm extremely pleased, and I'm fully aware that I would never had received that level of 'extra service' from any national chain frame shop. This business is Gina's livelihood, treats it with 'kid gloves', and depends on the local community to support her small retail service business. Bring your best & favorite photos & artwork to Gina's Art & Frame Studio in Vista to experience the same level of exceptional service like I've received ! read more

BUYER BEWARE: this business and its owner should be avoided at all costs. Our experience has been a nightmare which culminated in a police report filed after the owner brandished a firearm. We trusted Gina with another project after a prior one went fine. The one in question involved her carelessly leaving dust under the frame. She lied about it being dust and said it was the a flaw on the print. She offered to reframe it if I got a duplicate replacement. When the frame with the duplicate was complete, she returned the original print - no dust was there. She admitted that she had missed the dust. All of this problem could have been easily avoided except due to her carelessness. When we inspected the re-do, we found the previous flawless print/gicle was creased in the frame - print #2 now damaged. She negotiated a replacement with the artist again (#3) and reframed it. Today, when I went to pick it up, I asked for the creased print back (#2.) She refused to give me my original back ... was hostile. When I demanded my property she produced a firearm and threatened me with it in front of my family. The story speaks for itself. A police report was filed with SD Sheriff and complaint filed with the BBB. Update May 2026: the product received from Art & Frame was quoted and priced as premium materials. Those materials are now discoloring behind the frame. 1 star review earned read more

Updating yet again. I'm sooo sorry that my husband isn't trained in the type of art you do and he was asking for something that was going to look like shit. Maybe instead of charging us 600 dollars for something my nephew could do for free let a customer know what it will look like and that you should come up with an alternate plan. Money was never an issue. He thought it would work. Clearly it didn't. It was your responsibility as an artist to let a customer know what works and what doesn't. Instead of trying to pass off a trash job and pretending to be excited about it. Then freak out when I start asking questions of how I can fix it. I'm not going to get into a keyboard war with you. Everything I have said was correct. You did call a customer and scream and them. Thats literally insane. I think that was more a part of the review I was talking about than your "finished product" that took you all of 15 minutes. Glad we could help you out with paying for that. But we have obviously found someone that will be able to do the work we are asking for so no need for this conversation to go any further. Happy to update this review with the corrected version of the product (with credit to that company obviously as we would never go back to see you) Bless your heart. Updating this review. My husband just got home and let me know Gina called and screamed at him that she can't deal with me. Soooo unprofessional. Gina has done amazing work for us in the past. But the jerseys she did were trash with no thought to alignment or even making the folds in the same place. She even took her logo off the frame because she knew I was going to need to redo them and she didn't want another artist seeing this was her attempt. Before her call to my husband I had left an ok review. Just letting people know that go to her for simple things. But keep your sports memorabilia for someone a bit more specialized. After her call I think it's important for people to know how she acts towards long standing customers. read more

Gina Skillfully Restored a 95 Year Old Chalk Pastel Seascape for my mother. Gina used her years of expertise & quality materials to bring a dingy piece of art back to it's original tones. The before & after look like completely different pieces, Before dull/dingy, after light/bright pastels. Here is mom's review: Give the woman 10 Stars!!!!! Seascape, a pastel made in late 1929 or early 1930, lived in tobacco smoke filled houses until 1994, making it extremely dingy. I took it to Gina at Art & Frame Studio to clean the glass. She found it was backed with disintegrating brown acidic paper. She explained how the acid in the paper was a culprit, not just the smoke & dirty glass that touched the pastel. Gina used her mastery & premium materials to restore the piece. She carefully lifted it from the glass. To stop more damage to the picture, she applied anti-acid spray to the back, added a matting to keep it off the glass allowing the piece breathe, & replaced the glass with museum quality glass. Finally, she cleaned the original frame to bring the piece to a glory I had never seen before. I found sailboats & green on the hills that I never saw before. Seeing how beautiful it was brought tears to my eyes. If you have a treasured piece of art, or a photograph, you want framed mom & I recommend you take it to Art and Frame Studio in Vista. read more

My wife and I brought in some very sentimental and old copper plate engravings we bought on a trip to Europe some years ago. They needed to be reframed, and we wanted to match the redo to a new mirror we had in the same room after a recent remodel. Gina was fantastic in helping us make the right decision, she's very meticulous, patient, ensured dimensions were accurate, and does the work as if it was a piece of art of her own. She did a terrific job, we're very pleased ! read more

Gina was so courteous and professional with the framing project we hired her to do for our sons room. After loosing my father 2 years ago, my son chose to keep a Phillies jersey that belonged to my father that was signed by Pete Rose. Gina understood the memorial and nature of personal love this piece had for us and our son and she went above and beyond in doing a fantastic job. Even with the whole covid situation she still delivered it in a timely manner. Thank you Gina and know you have a customer for life in us!!! read more

If I could give 100 stars, I would! I came in the day before Christmas Eve with a gift that needed framing and the owner, Gina, saved my butt! She not only helped me pick the most cost-efficient matte board and frame, as I am a college student with limited funds, but she went above and beyond by framing the gift and having it ready to go ON CHRISTMAS EVE! Gina is a true expert in not only what she does but in costumer service and going and above beyond! Now DON'T do I what did and waltz in with expectations of your pieces being framed in a day, this process usually takes MONTHES given the amount of other orders she usually receives. PLEASE give Gina a big chunk of time, like a month to two monthes, to frame your pieces. Does that sound like a while? Yes. Is it more expensive than going to Michaels and doing it yourself? Yes. HOWEVER! You'll just be buying some factory-made frame that likely doesn't fit your piece perfectly. At Art & Frame Studio, Gina will handcraft a custom-sized frame and matte-board to elevate your pieces and make them true works of art. Overall, should you go to Art & Frame Studio? ABSOLUTELY! read more

Gina is top notch in customer service and is a master of framing! We recently moved into a newly constructed home in Fallbrook and had absolutely no mirrors over any of our bathroom vanities. Looking for a local shop that could provide custom frames as well as mirrors was not an easy task. Based on previous Yelp reviews for Art & Frame Studio, we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by Gina and treated like we had been friends for years. First, she helped us come up with the overall dimensions we needed for each of our bathrooms. Next, with her advice, we narrowed our choices in frames very quickly. Lastly, she then called the glass shop she works with for quotes on the sizes of mirror we would need to complete the job. The finished quote for all three bathrooms were so incredibly reasonable! We couldn't believe how quickly she built all the frames and installed the mirrors. She is a very dainty woman but don't let it fool you! She had two very large mirrors to work with but she managed it effortlessly! We were so thrilled with the outcome! There is absolutely no doubt that we will be returning to Gina for more business. And honestly, she is just a warm-hearted and generous soul to be around. Thank you Gina! read more

This is a one woman business owned by a human dynamo with a big heart! She loves her work and puts a lot of energy into it. I took one item there based on Yelp reviews and have returned many times. Gina takes "as-long-as-it-takes" to select the proper matting, frame , and glass for any object. Once this is decided, she puts it together VERY quickly. She has high quality material and yet is able to provide reasonable pricing. I would never go anywhere else. Location tip: Gina is located in a small stip of businesses just behind Chin's Chinese Restaurant. Turn into what appears to be Chin's parking lot. read more

Art & Frame Studio - Excellent matting colors, museum glass. - Framing Near Me - Vista, California

We had our bathroom mirrors made here a few years ago. Our neighbor was a famous artist and she had all her framing done here and spoke very highly to their craftsmanship and pricing. So, we stopped in to see if our vision was possible since one of our mirrors needed to be at least 4ft long. She was kind and an absolute pleasure to work with! She took us back and showed us the work area to let us get a visual idea of the largest size they could complete. She helped me think of ideas, answered every question I had about the prices for various frame options found in the front room and knew without checking if they would be able to make a certain frame work for our space. She gave us plenty of time to go through all the frames and never seemed irritated or rushed despite all my questions, and even headed into the back to give us plenty of time to talk it over after getting a quote. ordered the beveled edge mirrors from the glass shop next door (for a great price btw), I appreciate any business that doesn't push a customer for the sale! They had the mirrors made, framed, and completed sooner than quoted and they have held up beautifully without a single problem! I highly recommend this shop if you have any framing needs- Gina has great connections, is kind, and a master at her craft! read more

Absolutely perfect! I couldn't be happier with the process and the outcome! I had a special project I wanted to do for my husband, so I researched reviews and decided on Art and Frame Studio. The five-star reviews say it all: quality, expertise, friendly and helpful interactions, worth the drive, and expertise in problem-solving an unusual request. I wanted to frame a record album, produced long ago, on which my husband played with the primary band members. Gina did a fantastic job framing two charcoal rubbings I had stored away from Cambodia from years ago. I brought them in and we found a gorgeous gold and black frame with black and gold marble matting. We settled on some no-glare matte glass that really looks incredible. The cost was $250 for each piece for a total of $500. Definitely pricey, but the end result was perfect and they look extremely good in my house. Thank you! read more

I read all the YELP reviews before going to Art & Frame Studio. I brought in a beat up poster that had been sitting around our garage for many years. It was a reproduction of a vintage poster belonging to my fiancée who had never gotten around to having it framed. Gina was great and took her time in matching up just the right matting also had fair pricing. VOILA! She had worked her magic on it! What arrived into her studio was an old worn poster and what I got back in return was a show stopping art piece - it came out so beautiful and my man was happily surprised. He is now a convert and will be going back to get more art frame work completed on his own. Believe the YELP reviews! This is a belated review. Gina is a wonderful person. I had a odd sized painting that my grandpa did that needed to be framed before it got damaged. Gina got it done in less than a week.
