The bride picked the painting for the group which was a sunset with a palm tree. Larisa was very sweet and came early to my in-laws home to set everything up an hour or so before the party started. Larisa had an easy breezy attitude which I think helps with the pressure of others wanting to do a good job with their painting. She did a great job explaining how to paint our painting and was non-judgmental of everyone's work. She was also funny and personable - you can tell she is passionate about her business! The price was $35/person and the painting lasted 2 hours total. We all gave her cash. All the supplies were provided and all the ladies had a great time. Once our paintings were dry, Larisa took a picture of us and our creations.

You check out the calendar online, pick the painting class you'd like to attend, show up, and paint! They play some good music and the instructor paints along with you. This is not paint by numbers, or having a pre-sketched canvas. You sketch out your picture, and the insturctor teaches you how to paint! Classes last about 2 hours. You will be amazed at how much you can get done in 2 hours! They also have classes for Tots and Parents! This is a good time, and something totally different to do! Check it out!

Hands down she is better than my college art teachers. She's kind patient and willing to work with everyone at their skill level. I've been taking beginning drawing and water color. It's been a hot minute since I did drawing and I've never water colored before. In fact I only did black and white art until March when I started Water color. I share in Sasha's passion to create. I'm loving all I'm learning and sasha has created a little community in her studio with all of her students. It just feels so right to be there. We even get to be with the virtual learners during class. I encourage you to enter your child in anything sasha has. I also encourage the drawing class. My son enjoys it very much. Staff is friendly. Interior well kept. Reasonably priced. I especially like the pay as you go policy. No $$ wasted if you miss a class. I saw this place pop up in Berkley a few years ago and was intrigued. I don't consider myself an…read moreartist by any stretch of the imagination. I hadn't attempted anything creative since the last art class I had in grade school. But I was interested when I saw they offered a Zentangle class which promised the only artistic ability you needed was to draw a stick figure. I took the class and ended up really enjoying it. It is essentially structured, meditative doodling. I came back for several more Zentangle classes when I found it was a great way to relieve stress and get out of the rut of logical, left-brain thinking. I never intended to create great art, but rather to get in touch with the creative part of my brain and to enjoy the meditative qualities of creating art. But I enjoyed Zentangle so much that I eventually branched out and tried several other classes that included things like intuitive painting, sculpture, and traditional Japanese Sumi-e black ink painting. Each class was fun and informative, and I was surprised to find sometimes I actually liked some of the art I created, too, and not just the process. The owner, Debby, and the instructors have all been great. They clearly love helping people learn and get in touch with their creativity. Articipate offers a wide variety of events, classes and lessons. It seems like there is something for everyone - regardless of age and whether you consider yourself artistic or not. It seems like a glut of places have popped up in the past few years offering private "paint parties". I have been to a couple of those and while they can be fun, this place takes an approach that is much more fun and engaging than a one size fits all "paint by numbers" approach - regardless of artistic ability. I encouraged anyone interested to check out what they offer and let the friendly owner and instructors help you get in touch with your creative side.

Carey's infectious positive energy and eagerness to teach is incomparable to any other class I've taken. She takes the time to work with everyone and make sure they feel proud of the project they are taking home. I've done three projects at Glass Action and intend on doing more in the near future. Her unique approach to teaching a somewhat mystical, mysterious medium resonates with everyone she meets. A few weeks ago I left work in a kind of awful mood, and left feeling completely different. We did two projects with the city scape and they turned out really cute.
