Most women dread the OBGYN, but I truly enjoy visiting with these doctors. I have several friends who also belong to the practice and we have had multiple conversations during social meet ups, about who visited the office last, requesting updates on our favorite doctors.
I became a patient at the start of my 3rd pregnancy, but 2nd miscarriage. I was traveling out of town the next day, and they made sure to squeeze me in as a NEW patient the same day I called. Dr Resta was over the top reassuring and comforting. Even though this was a last minute appt, at the end of the day, I felt like I was the only patient in the office, as him and the ultrasound tech, figured out what was happening and gave me the next steps.
For my 4th HIGH RISK pregnancy, 2nd child, Dr Band oversaw the majority of it (to simplify things). He is super responsive via the patient portal, which was extremely helpful given the dynamics and needs of this specific pregnancy. He communicated with the other specialists I saw, and made sure I was part of the "team". Lizardo performed my scheduled c-section, and I love that he was at the hospital the entire weekend, to oversee my progress/recovery and check in. The surgery itself was a breeze, and he was careful to follow the delivery plan suggested by my MFM and the fetal therapy team at Johns Hopkins. This allowed me to spend more time with my baby before he had to go to the NICU for further testing and monitoring. I am forever grateful!
These doctors truly care about their patients as people, remembering small details, checking in with them, and being super responsive to needs that pop up (most recently, I had an issue with meds, and though my doc was out of town, the nurse got in touch with a different doc, who addressed the issue the very same day). You can tell these docs and their manager are the best of the best, because all of the nurses, receptionists and medical assistants are happy, kind and respectful, too!
