NOTHING was done on the list, almost as if it had been deliberately ignored - things like fresh toiletries put out, bed covers rotated, fresh soaps, TP, paper towels etc. put out from the supply we had laid in before the summer. We returned after the final cleaning to find the floors filthy, as if there had been no mopping ever. We spent two days doing remedial housecleaning - vacuuming the carpet in just one room filled the vacuum canister. Cookware was disgusting and scattered helter-skelter. Furniture and decor was misplaced, despite our leaving photographs of each room as it should be and asking them to refer to them weekly. In several years of summer renting, this was the third service we tried, and by far the worst.

The service guy put a small tarp on the lawn and carefully placed the sod and soil on it. I knew my lawn was going to look untouched when this was all done. Nicely done. The service itself took a while but that was because my system really needed work. Four or five years of neglect will do that, I guess. The service guy worked diligently for over an hour to make sure my system was restored to a healthy state. Same price. Great value! However, every now and then you come across a business that truly believes in the motto "the customer comes first". This has been my experience with Briggs Landscaping as they have consistently exceeded my loftiest expectations. Briggs did an extensive overhaul of our front yard. The work involved clearing and grading the yard, hauling, dumping and spreading loam, building a flower bed and laying sod. The quote they provided was the best of three estimates provided. Due to an unbelievably wet and cold April, they got behind in their schedule, however Diane (Office Manager) constantly communicated with me on a weekly basis. She was absolutely fantastic. During the week leading up to the work, she provided me perfect details which allowed proper coordination with my irrigation guy. When the work started, the team was prompt, pleasant and professional; great guys! However, the work hit a major snag when they discovered a major root system under a large, grounded, pine tree stump...they were forced to bring in more heavy equipment and the two day job turned into a much larger project to get rid of the huge roots. They constantly communicated the game plan and in the end, the yard and flower beds looked so beautiful. We got the invoice today and even though they probably spent a dozen or more man hours removing the huge pine roots, they honored their cost listed in their original estimate! I will never use another landscape company other than Briggs! They do all the thoughtful touches that make them great. They carefully removed and saves all perennials for us to use elsewhere, they transplanted an Azalea bush...they even put loam and grass seed around some bare spots in the backyard!
