The web site had a special offer for 3 rooms. I made an appointment. I have 3 rugs in 3 rooms. When the employee arrived (40 mins later than the updated call from the office), he said the offer was for wall to wall carpet only. This was not made clear on the web site. To a homeowner 3 rooms is 3 rooms. This is a bait and switch. Their policy needs to be stated up front on the website. I believe they know what they're doing and hope that the homeowner will go ahead and pay for the 3 "carpets" not the 3 "rooms". Took advantage of their special "3 Rooms of Carpet Cleaned for $174." When they arrived and looked at the first room with an area rug, I was told area rugs aren't included in the special. After I protested, they agreed to do the room for the special price. And they did do a fine job. When I checked back on their website, I saw in small type a disclaimer. "One area equals any room up to 300 square feet; combined living areas may be considered as 2 rooms. Baths, halls, staircases, large walk-in closets and area rugs are priced separately" Lesson learned again: look for and read the small type! read more

I asked him if he could do the the rooms with laminate flooring, he did every room in the house, floors shined amazing job!!! I called Stanley Steamer in Bourne on a Thursday morning at around 10 a.m. By 11 AM I had a phone call saying that the guys had left their place and were on their way to my home. Wow! Soon, Juan and his partner arrived and I showed them where our dog had made a mess in our master bedroom. He was very, very professional and they did a wonderful job getting rid of a very bad smell and spot there. They also did a great job on all of our master bedroom carpeting. They went above and beyond, and I would recommend them very highly. Oh yes, and we have had a occasional house cleaner in the past who had insisted on waxing our no wax bathroom and adjoining hallway. At one point we tried to remove the wax ourselves and did a pretty good job to find a good shine underneath. But over the years, it still got waxed by that same person. So we knew that if Juan were to clean that area for us after doing such a wonderful job in the master bedroom, it would make us very happy to see the real shine come up again. The first word that comes into mind when I think of Stanley Steamer (Bourne, MA location) and that word is, "professional." The level of professionalism Rich and Richie (that were there names, I promise) had as soon as they walked in the front door was top-notch. These two gents were class acts; two gentleman I would want to represent my business. They were truthful and honest with our red wine mishap that happened on a white sofa in a rental unit on vacation. Rich gave it to us straight wasting no time. He was extremely skeptical that their machines would rid the stains because of the lapse of time from when the accident happened to when they arrived. Rich presented us with the option to have them do a quick test run of a small area to see if their cleaning process would work rather than just getting to the job and cleaning the area and not working at all. Then, wasting time and money for everybody. I was very impressed with this tactical approach. Rich says, "let's try this area and see if it will work first. If it does not lift any of the stain than chances are it will not come out." He began cleaning a small area of the sofa. I liked this idea of a test run. I mean, who wouldn't. Rich continues cleaning the area. He looks up at me and states, "listen we are not in the business of just taking customers money. We want to ensure that we do the job correctly and that the job is complete and done properly." Rich looked at the area and I could tell that it was not working. Rich stopped and says, "With that said, due to the time lapse and the acidity of the wine sitting in the fabric I do not think this stain will come out." After informing us of the current situation we decided not to get the cleaning service done. I was blown away with this level of service. I have been in the service industry my whole life and Rich and Richie just up'd the game for all steam clean companies. If you want the highest level of service with two guys that are going to exhibit dedicated professionalism than ask for Rich and Richie from Stanley Steamers in Bourne, MA. BEWARE if you live in the Bridgewater, MA area-think twice before you schedule an appointment with this unreliable company. I scheduled cleaning for my daughters home of 4 rooms over 2 weeks ago for yesterday between 8am and 12pm. We received a confirmation email for our appointment. At 10:00 yesterday I decided to call to see if we could get a better arrival time estimate. The woman told me that because it was scheduled with the wrong franchise the appointment was cancelled!!!!!! The house is literally 1 1/2 miles away from the cut off line with the incorrect franchise. We did NOT receive any type of notification that it was cancelled. There we were with an entire house turned upside down, a 2 year old stressed out because the entire house was turned upside down, my daughter 37 wks pregnant with twins and the best they could tell us is they would come out on Monday. They said they would offer us 10% off, however, the new price with the 10% off was $20 more than our original price. Absolutely disgusted and we will never use this company. read more
