UPDATE: After this company 'cleaned' and serviced my indoor unit I came home from work about 6 days later to a hot house. Breaker was tripped due to the condensation pump being burnt out. I called a different A/C company that had great reviews and guess what? The pump was fried due to liquid that had been used to clean the coils! $&@!! It was caused by the previous technician and his pump up sprayer. I had to get the pump replaced. There goes another $200+ Thanks ARS for nothing... read more

I wish there was a rating less than one star. Their $29 spring tune up ended up costing me $629! I was without ac and heat for eight days. Don't ever let them touch your system unless they agree to send Luis Caicedo. He's fantastic, but he spent the majority of his time cleaning up the mess made by the preceding technicians. Over the span of time I had four technicians and three of the four did more damage than help. The back office staff is no better. One day they sent an email at 6:30 in the evening telling me that a technician would be here between 8:00 and 9:00 AM of the same day! No one came at all that day. My recommendation would be to stay away from them (other than Luis). read more

I have to agree with the other negative reviews on ARS. I had an appointment with them to get a quote on a new system. The 1st appointment was for 12. I rushed home to meet the sales person, but instead I received a call at 1201, asking me to reschedule, because the previous appointment went over. Ok, it happens. We agreed to a 5 pm appointment later on the day. Instead I received a call at 5:17 pm, asking me if I plan to replace , repair or just getting a quote? When I said I want to replace my system, the guy says well, "I can give you the pricing over the phone"!! Really, I spent most of my day waiting for someone to come out, look at my system and give me a quote. I waisted 7 hours of day. This is definitely a poorly ran come. They were the contractor installing the air conditioner I purchased from Home Depot in Port Orange on July 24, 2023. The sales representative told me I would be receiving a $500.00 visa card rebate from Home Depot for this purchase. After several phone calls with both ARS/Rescue Rooter and Home Depot seeking an explanation why I wasn't receiving my rebate I could not get answers. My last call with ARS/Rescue Rooter was on November 15, 2023 when they assured me that they would get back to me. I Never heard from them. Finally, After seeing my Yelp Review ARS requested my contact information. I responded and within a day received a call from Melissa (January 29, 2024). She moved quickly to resolve this issue and I received the Home Depot rebate card on February 5, 2024. I was very impressed with Melissa's attentive follow-up to resolve this simple issue neglected by so many others before her. My air conditioner was installed on July 25, 2023 and wasn't ready for the city inspection until September. it took several technician visits to fix leaks and get the unit passable for the inspection. read more

Stay away at all costs for your mechanical related work. The initial install of a brand new Rheem split air conditioning system has been nothing but annual service calls for us. Their installers must have been journeymen as the system continues to leak expensive refrigerant. We had the evaporator coil replaced under warranty with a brand new Rheem all aluminum coil thinking that would remedy the leaks in the system. It's the peak of summer and the unit cannot maintain a 75 degree set point! This only means one thing, the initial install was shoddy and the journeymen likely took the lazy and cheap way of doing things. I would give them 0 stars if possible. The only reason why they are still in business down here in Florida is because they've partnered up with Home Depot. There are plenty of reputable shops around! Stay away from this one! read more

On 10-05-2022 ARS Rescue Rooter sent two installers to our home in Leesburg to replace our AC unit. Before they arrived I used our leaf blower to blow the leaves from the driveway and front porch. When the installers finished and left I went to the garage to get the leaf blower to use on the back porch. It was not there. We searched for it and it just wasn't there. We thought maybe they took it by accident and would run it. That was not the case. We contacted the company and expressed our concerns but never heard back from them. I have had to have them out 5 times for the same issue. First thing, you get a call center; they are all mostly clueless. Parish was rude, & ill-trained. So, I hung up & called back. They say the tech will call about 30 before they show up, has only happened once. They completely lost the info on their first visit & would not make a "return" visit since, according to ARS, never happened! Luckily, the tech was chatty & we knew some information about him. One time I called to confirm the appointment & there was no record of us having one even though we had (this time) received an email confirmation. We started writing down names of who we talk to & who has come to "repair" the AC. We also take a picture of their truck. Do not use ARS!!!!! I WISH I READ THESE REVIEWS Nightmare. Still dealing with poor installation from this company. The HVAC system was not properly installed, they "forgot " to install the system that was big enough for my home and "forgot to attach the blower correctly ". Do not use them. They are unreliable and unprofessional. They cut corners and try to blame the thermostat and each other. Will definitely get my money back. After almost three months and changing the thermostat five times, Jennifer the quality officer now says the issue is ductwork and poor installation in my attic! This woman continues to lie and is not to be trusted. She claims she is waiting on approval to return my money. I am gingerly waiting since she was informed by the technician for over a month that a ductwork might be the problem and instead continued to send out technicians for a thermostat issue not until I called NEST the thermostat company did Jennifer finally decide to change the story to ductwork. She told me over a month and half ago that she would issue out $550 as compensation for my Duke energy bill that increased by over $200 a month and she never fulfilled her words. Actually that should be minus 10. My unit was installed in September of 2023, not complete. Failed inspection. Used a used breaker on a new unit, never checked wire size to check viability. Never totally sealed unit, installed wrong thermostat with only one screw so it was falling off wall. Never checked levels after installation just left with my husbands electrical fish line tape, which was on his room bench. Returned after several calls 4 days later, Vero Mgr said we should be thankful he made a special trip to return stolen goods. So many bad installation factors. Hole in ceiling where an object was dropped through attic floor. Two weeks later a patch but never painted, because drywaller was too busy and had customers he had to take care of. Bad Bad company. Call elsewhere. Still no resolution for anything. Thank the good Lord my husband was an HVAC developer and installer for Military and will repair as much as he can at 79 years of age, otherwise we will call another company to finish the work not completed. read more

BAD NEWS !!! Had a minor problem with our Air Conditioning Unit and called "ARS Rescue Rooter". The technician came and did a good job. While here he noted that our AC unit was 12 years old, and running close to its expiration date. Being new in the home and having no history on the unit he advised us that ARS had several Cleaning / Tune Up options. We decided to take the most expensive, since it provided a Complete Overhaul. It was to include the Overhaul, a follow up visit , and if we ever had a problem, would place us on a "priority" list for service. This was in October 2021. We scheduled the first visit for 12/7/21. The same technician came to do the Overhaul. What seemed strange is that while he initially told us that it would take 2 to 3 hours, he was done in 1 hour. Would have thought that their "ULTIMATE Service, which we paid $688 for, would be more than an in & out visit. When we inquired about individual items in the package, in particular the "Corrosion Grenade", he stated that he had forgotten to bring it, but would do it at the second visit. So June comes and we call to schedule the 2nd contracted Inspection / Cleaning. The woman in the office said that they didn't offer the contract that I had signed and paid for. Upon talking to 2 different managers, we were told 2 different things: 1) they NEVER had such a protective maintenance program, and 2) they NO LONGER offered it. Oh, by the way, we were also advised that they NO LONGER had the "Corrosion Grenade" available. So, here I sit wondering how much, if any of the work I contracted for was done. Just be careful , we had a compressor going bad . Two tech came out to inspect the unit . I am experienced in ac but since it was under warranty I let a company do the service . So these two techs told me several lies and basically told me our unit was shot and after the left my compressor blew up , I found one of the techs spraying water on the unit . they told me we had leaks and want 299.00 to prove it I knew the 410a was low by 2 lbs but not leaking I checked before they arrived also told me my ducts were clogged , and they are not . After a due weeks are new compressor came in and installed. Unit works fine and all the BS the first two techs told me were lies . Just be careful. I wouldn't trust this company read more

Contacted ARS as I had no cold air on my a/c, was told they would have someone contact me, did not receive a phone call, a service rep showed up after dark to determine the issue, he did a leak sniff test without advising my husband (who was outside with the rep), advised the leak was in the case coil and wanted approx $400 for the unauthorized test and service call, refused to pay and contacted the office was told I would hear from a manager within 24 hours, never hear from anyone. I contacted another a/c company did leak test both inside and on the outside unit, THERE IS NO LEAK IN THE CASE COIL. We purchased a new heat pump in October, 2018. We've had ARS out 5 or six times since then...the first being the day after the install because a part was broken on the brand new equipment. Should have been a sign. Every time they come out they say it's the air filter needs changed or we need an air scrubber or dehumidifier ($1,500 is the usual number). Today a second tech came out for the same problem that a tech was here for on Saturday. Saturday, it was the air filter needed changed. He removed the old one and I gave him a new one, which he installed. Tech today pulled out TWO air filters, the new one, and the one that my husband replaced two weeks ago. Sat tech didn't know there was another filter. I called company back 3 hours after tech left Sat because still wasn't cooling properly. The same tech called, didn't come back, but called and said I needed a new fan motor because the dirty air filter broke the fan. He didn't even go look at heat pump. I'm beyond mad at this point. So the tech today said it's not cooling properly because of a "restriction in the cooling line" and guess what, $1,500 to fix it. A one year warranty on parts a labor and this is a year and a half later so no labor coverage. So why didn't they fix it in October, 2019 when it was doing the same thing. Oh wait, probably no supposed to fix it until its out of warranty so they can screw us out of more $. We paid $12k for this boat anchor. I'm waiting on a service manager to call me...again. I only waited 48 hours last time I asked for a manager to speak to. Is there a lemon law regarding these types of appliances? read more

Let me start with I had my whole new system installed on 04/2017 at a hefty price of 7k plus. Ran great for 2 years. I had to pay it off in 2 years so I did not get charged interest from Home Depot. I took on hefty payments to get it payed off and I did. I figured a brand new unit only 2 years old and I should be great for many years. Well was I wrong. 12/23/17, they came out to do a normal check. All was great according to the tech. 10/30/18, they said my condenser coil was clogged causing my capacitor to go bad as it has a bubble on it. They wanted to charged $235 to install the capacitor which would only take 30 minutes, plus $269.70 for a chemical cleaning. I said no. I will clean it myself and replace the capacitor myself as I am able to handle that kind of repair. I replaced, cleaned and moved along with my life. 10/03/2019, normal check up and all was great. Just paid off this unit. Was sooooo happy. 12/4/19 heat stopped working and I was getting an error code. Now I can read and understand the code and I knew what was wrong. The control board went bad. 7k dollars later and the control board goes bad. I call them up and they came out 12/5/2019, and confirmed what I already knew. Since labor warranty was up, they wanted to charge me a 99 dollar diagnostic fee and labor cost to install the new board, since parts are still under warranty. I talked with a supervisor, they heard my case as I just payed it off, so they waived the fee but still charged me $335 for the install that only took 30 minutes. Nice payday for them. I already called Carrier because that is another repair I could do, but since I am not a certified AC repair person, if I do it myself, it would break my warranty. 12/13/19 board replaced. 4/27/2020, normal check up and once again all is great. Again wrong. Today as I am writing this my air is no longer blowing out cold. It started blowing out hot. So I turned off and back on. Now it is blowing cold enough to not feel hot, but not cold enough to shut the unit off. So we just called and they said since it is not hot enough to be considered an emergency, they made a appointment for tomorrow. Meanwhile it seems the unit is going to run all night. Like I have extra money to pay for the electric to run it all the rest of this day and night. Not to mention it will not get a break from running. I suppose they are going to try and charge their $99 diag again. So the reason for a 1 star review. When I call in, they always super nice. The missing 3 stars are for the unit, and the techs that come out and always say my unit is great, and then a month or 2 after, it always has problems and cost me more money that I do not have. We had 2 air conditioners replaced by them at the cost of $24,000 for a 3 and 4 ton AC, then3 years later we paid $1495 for 3 tune ups an air scrubber and UV light for one AC. I should have read the reviews before I called them. One review said they come out for one thing and talk you into other equipment. The rep could not clean out the drain, so now we have to get a plumber??? Way too expensive we should have learned our lesson the first time. Both were through Home Depot. read more

We get a call on Monday saying a tech was out sick, so no one was available until Tuesday. Huh? The salesperson will promise you the moon. They will charge an insane amount and tell you it's justified because of the incredible service and benefits. NOT TRUE. You will receive some of the worst service in the A/C business. Managers don't call back. Technicians don't show up. Repairs don't get done timely. On day 7 of 87 degrees inside the house, no accommodations (other companies provide temporary A/C units...they don't). No answers. Corporate tells you that it's the local office and the local office tells you it's corporate. You get bounced back and forth between the two and they simply don't care. When I bought this house, my girlfriend got a Nest Thermostat 2nd gen for us. When I got a new AC, they replaced it with a new one, the 3rd. gen. What I didn't notice right away since I was home and working at the time (I work remote), was that they didn't leave behind the old one - in other words they stole it. I noticed SOMEONE ELSE using it when I went onto my Nest.com account, which still has it listed. This was more off-putting than if they had scrapped it for materials. So here's the sequence of events: Once they installed the new AC system complete with the outside compressor, they said "we'll get someone else out here to pick up the ladders tomorrow, because our truck won't fit it all." That was really late, about 12:30AM. The next day, a guy came back to take the ladders, but asked "is there anything else I can do for you?" so I said to install the new thermostat. I did not tell him to STEAL the old one. That's the guy who took it. When I logged into my Nest.com account, I noticed that the old one was INSTALLED SOMEWHER ELSE, so I then called ARS Rooters TWICE (1 week apart) and told them this happened, but no one has called me back in a month. I never gave them authorization to take it in the first place; it belongs to my girlfriend. She had hoped to use it as a gift for a family member after mine was replaced with a new one. It's STILL connected with my Nest account, so I can see it online via the web portal (nest.com) and can change settings there. I called Nest, told them to put a note on the account that it was stolen and they said they'd notify me if anyone tried to re-connect it to another account. I noticed later too that the installing team had shattered a spare mirror I had, stole a battery I use for my handheld drill, and ripped my shelving below the A/C handler (tried to shoddily put it back in place, but when I went to move something to it during hurricane Irma, it almost came out of the wall due to the weight of a few boxes). I can't prove those things, so I am focusing on the thermostat. read more

We bought a new whole house ac and heater system from the ARS July of this year. One of the main reasons we went with them was ARS guarantee that if it broke, they would fix it within 24 hours and if they don't they would provided a comfort guarantee send us $555 and put us in a hotel while it was broken. Our heater broke when the temperature was in the lower 30s in Florida over 2 weeks ago. They came out that day couldn't fix it said they had to order a part and would be out in 2 days. It has been over 2 weeks and we can not get anyone from the parts department or service manager to call us back with a status of when they will come back out or to honor the guarantee. Have a good guarantee doesn't mean anything if ARS does not honor it. read more

I contracted with ARS for an AC install because they are the sub contractor for Home Depot (HD) and was referred to them by HD. During the air handler install in the attic, the technician fell through the celling. I understand accidents happen and ARS had Hole in the Wall Drywall Repair come out and repair the damage which they did a very good job at. A week later, I received a Registered Letter from ARS advising they needed to schedule a County inspection to close out the open permit. I called and left a voice mail for the ARS employee who sent the letter asking first, why was a letter sent, rather than just picking up the phone and calling me and second asking for available appointment dates. Two days later, when I hadn't received a return call, I called and left another voicemail for the same person. Since I still haven't received a return call, I just called again and was again sent to the same employee's voicemail. I immediately called back and asked to speak with a different employee to schedule the inspection and was put into a different employee's voicemail. I called back a third time and explained my frustration. I was put on hold and after a time the same person advised me that both of the employees who schedule County inspections were out sick and would return tomorrow. I explained that was unacceptable and would like someone in management to return my call. I then called ARS' main number, explained my situation and was told the problem might be caused by that department not opening until 9:15 AM. I advised I had not been told that before and that I would like someone in management to return my call. I'm still waiting. I'll now call HD and let them know of my displeasure with their sub contractor. read more

Terrible! I'm giving a 1 star only because there is no 0 star. I went to Home Depot because I thought I would get a contractor that I could depend on and have a large company to back them up. I was wrong. I just can't believe the poor service from the very beginning. One year ago the service guys installed my new system incorrectly and it never cooled properly. It took me 3 weeks to get them back out to solve the issue that they created. They claimed it was a bad part but I think it was a poor installation. They left my house with the AC not cooling. Why would you even do that. Then, getting someone to address the issue was like pulling teeth. They said they were busy due to the summer months. Now, I'm having my one-year service checkup. I scheduled it a week ago and was given a 4-hour window from 12-4. Well, it's 4:30 now and no one called. I called them and they stated that the service guy was running late. I don't believe they ever would have called me. I was going to renew the service plan for $18 a month but I've decided against it. If you are reading this review right now thinking about using these guys because they are contracted through Home Depot please rethink this. Just look at all the unhappy customers in this Yelp review. Look at all the 1-star reviews they get. People make the time to do this because they are truly unhappy with the service. Choose someone else for your AC. These guys are truly awful. UPDATE....after waiting for almost 6 hours they finally called me to ask "if I still want them to come out". It was put in such a way that I believed at that time they didn't want to do my call. Of course by that time I was gone anyway. These guys suck! Hey R....why do you think you have all these 1-star reviews? UPDATE 2...made appointment between 10 and 2 for scheduled yearly service which I pay for and for the second week in a row no one showed up or called. It's now 4 hours past my allotted time slot. 100% NOT SATISFIED with ARS as a sub-contractor of Home Depot in Orlando, FL. "Doing it Right the First Time" is a Quality Standard that ARS never heard of. The replacement of central AC is our costly $$$ 2018 Summer Nightmare! Having dedicated workers with good intentions doing installations is simply not good enough. They need to receive clear & specific work orders to meet ALL items in the client's contract. After 4 visits to correct initial deficiencies, a failed first County Permit Inspection (waiting for the second one), a still pending item under contract not yet done to "Check and Seal All Accessible Ducts", and a furnace that looks like a Frankenstein due to the many "band-aids", tapes, mastic dripping, and additional insulation around it... we highly regret having ARS fulfill the contract we made with HOME DEPOT. This is the most incompetent company I've ever dealt with. My first appointment I made for a A/C tuneup, they never showed up because they had too many "no air" calls. My appointment obviously didn't matter to them and they couldn't even give me a courtesy call to inform me they wouldn't make it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for a week and a half later, was given a 12-4 window... I called at 12:30 to verify they would be there and was told yes and I would receive a call beforehand. At 4, after waiting all day, no call no nothing.. I called them to see what happened and was told that they called and said the technician was on his way. They are liars! My phone never rang and the only contact I had was when I reached out to them... this company is horrible!!! Stay far away from them! read more

Called ARS this morning at 6:30am (Sunday after hours) for a clogged condensation line on our A/C unit. I was surprised to reach an actual live call taker who was very nice and advised that they could have someone out between the hours of 8am-12pm. She advised that the service/diagnostic fee would be $79.95 and then the price for whatever the problem would be. I agreed and waited to receive my 30 minute "heads up" call for them to advise that they would be on their way... However, at 12pm, still no call and no show. I called ARS and spoke with one of the representatives who advised that the technician should be headed to our home soon (but was not able to give a time approximation). Ok, I understand some jobs run long, so we waited a little while longer. At approximately 12:20, the technician finally calls and advises that he is on the way to our home and that his ETA is about 45 minutes. This is where my agitation starts to grow a little more. Then the technician adds, "Just so you know, the service/diagnostic fee to come out today will be $119.95." I said, "Oh I'm sorry, the call taker this morning advised me that the price was $79.95". The technician then added that because it was a weekend, the price is more expensive and that the $79 is only the price for weekdays. This is where the whole situation became unacceptable. I stated to the technician, "Unfortunately, your company advised me that the fee would be $79 and considering that you're going to be over an hour late from your original FOUR hour window, I think it's extremely unprofessional to try and upcharge a fee while originally stating something entirely different from the beginning." The technician than advised he would contact the company to ask if the $79 would be acceptable. I then received a phone call from a separate call taker for the company who advised that the price is ALWAYS $119 for the weekends and that the woman who received my call this morning at 6:30am did not know about the price influx due to "off hours". I then stated that because the technician was unable to fulfill his 4 hour time window, they should just honor the $79 for the inconvenience. The woman stated that the only person able to do this would be a shift supervisor who was only available on weekdays. She then advised that on weekends, the company is unable to give appointment times. Basically stating that the 8am-12pm window that was originally given to us was not even a real timeframe. So basically, ARS has "after hours" call takers that are assigning appointment times/windows that cannot be honored (and are not real time windows) and are also quoting prices that are inaccurate. I assume that once they have you scheduled, you will be so eager to have your unit repaired/serviced that you won't mind the technicians being late or the prices being gouged as they are on the way to your home. In the time that the technician was headed to my home (which remember, I had 45 more minutes to kill), I was able to call and leave a voicemail for the after hours of Greens Energy in Orlando (they called me back in 5 minutes). I then proceeded to explain the condensation issue and the woman representing Greens actually offered a few DIY solutions (which I had already tried) over the phone in order to save on having them come out and charge their fees! Unbelievable!! A company who actually cares more about the customer than the money. Anyways, the nice woman from Greens assigned a technician to the job and stated he would be to the house in less than ONE HOUR. Knowing all of this, I should've just started with Greens. I would have had the job done before 8am had I called them first! I then proceeded to call ARS and advise them that their services were no longer needed as I had contacted a different company and taken my business elsewhere. Honestly, this company is absolute mess where no employee seems to be on the same page and the disorganization extremely evident. I'm honestly surprised they're even still in business with the terrible customer service that I experienced. Was quoted 4700 for a two ton unit from another company that would include insulation if we needed it ! We wound up with ars cause they approved our financing ! They charged 5709 for a two ton unit and it doesn't work ! Our house is not cold and we have a small home and we over paid and it doesn't work and it didn't include insulation! They should have looked at duct work and insulation before they just sold the unit to us ! They installed the unit and didn't look at anything else ! NEW SMYRNA FLORIDA NOT CALIFORNIA Buyer beware stay away from this company OK HOME DEPOT sells it but by no way are they HOME DEPOT ARS SUCKS..just me it's been not even 2 yrs and I had almost 30 plus service calls! This one last week did it for me! My new unit broke I called the 24HR service ## it's a scam 100% they told me on Friday night to wait till monday hell I live in Florida it was 105 degrees out and I had company! I told her No you must come out now so she set my appointment for Sunday AM. I called in the am and they could not find my call so they set up another one later that day! and the service tech had wrong Phone # wrong Address and he finally got to my home and said You must pay $119.00 or i'm leaving! my a/c unit is under warranty! what ever I gave him the dam money then 10 minutes later he said your motor is broke so give me another $499.00 so I can order it and it we be later this week then to top it off He called us wet back's I almost lost my mind! I had to walk away or I would have punch him in the month!!!I had family call around almost 5 days later and we found one and he went right out and got a new motor and Installed it for only $100.00 that's it God bless this company FYI New Smyrna and area Its Ocean air in new smyrna fl..call these guys they are amazing and honest!!! read more

RUN AWAY AS FAR AND FAST AS YOU CAN!! As I write this review, I am struggling with nice things to say. The sales rep was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I think that is it...after sales service from ARS has been nothing but promises to call back, techs not showing up, managers never returning calls, their customer service department arguing and hanging the phone up, repairs taking over 6 months to complete and do not think of talking to a manager after 4 pm. I honestly would recommend anyone to stay away from ARS. Dealing with the hot Florida summers would be more enjoyable than ARS. I still have issues with a brand-new AC unit, but because of the previous dealings with ARS, it would take another 6 months to fix the issue. For anyone looking for an AC, find another place or deal with the heat, your experience will be more pleasureable. read more

What a rip off!!! I called them to get an estimate on a heat pump replacement. Their price was twice the highest estimate that I got. They don't care about what I needed, only how much they can up sale. Please don't let these people in your house. read more

I was solicited by one of their representatives while I was shopping at my local Home Depot. I have a large house with two separate units and have been considering replacing one of them. As a part of my process to obtain estimates I started with this company. Their salesman showed up at my house a few days later and started his sales pitch. I already had a trusted AC guy that does my work but I wanted to get an estimate from ARS just for comparison. The salesman gave me an estimate sheet with three different selections with good, better and best options. When I showed it to my AC guy he told me that he could install the same or a similar system in value and performance for about half of what I was quoted by ARS. So, in conclusion make sure you get more than one estimate before paying the big bucks. read more

Below is my experience so far with ARS through Home Depot for the last (over) two months: May 9th Rick (who is actually personable, knowledgeable, and professional) came to do the estimate. We were to get another condenser and two new units while moving one of the existing units we already had to another bedroom. May 11th installer came and said condenser was back ordered. Was told days to a week. Did not install 1 ton in master even though it was for existing compressor. Full amount of install charged on 5/11 and on 5/17 statement from Home Depot Asked for update on 5/19 at 735am. Not called back all day Texted Rick at 515pm on 5/19 to request update. 5/20 new condenser was installed along with new inverters. Got call on May 20th to schedule electric on 22nd. Electrician came out and then left and said the appointment wasn't for install but for looking at the job for scope of work. Electric was hooked up on Saturday May 23rd. Electrician said he was asked by installers not to turn electrical power on to units because they had to come back to do "something" (he didn't know what). He said they told him they would come Monday (Memorial Day. Thy assured him They were working he said) No one showed on Monday May 25 Called tuesday (26th). Install coordinator asked if that day, Tuesday would be ok for them to come do whatever they needed. No one showed or called. Called Wednesday May 27th Was put into a voice mail box. Left a message at 230pm. Got letter to schedule inspection of completed work on May 27th from ARS (even though work wasn't done) Texted above to Rick Sulyma at 345pm on May 27th Got voice mail at 440pm from ARC stating on call person would call night of May 27th. No call again from anyone. Voicemail to Amy on May 28th at 910am. No call back at 1245pm on May 28th. Called again and was told she was still at lunch and would return my call when she got back from lunch. Came on May 29th and "activated" units. promptly on July 1st they failed the inspection. Texted photo of inspection report to Rick. Appointment for July 8th to correct inspection failures and to correct leaky unit from install in guest bedroom upstairs which was discovered the very first time we tried to use the unit (apparently the installers don't bother to test their installations) No show/no call on July 8th. Texted Rick to let him know. Got a call at approx 1230 on July 9th to schedule someone for Friday July 10th. July 10th. No call. No show again. Texted rick at 930pm. No reply as of 1pm July 11 so texted that I would contest the charge with Home Depot. I'm currently looking into contesting the charge with Home Depot credit services. Credit card fraud aside I now have a non-working installation that has failed both the county inspection AND the actual use of the units. The company refuses to answer my inquiries and the most frustrating thing about this is that Rick clearly knows that he works for a bunch of thieves as one of the things he was most adamant about at the beginning was to contact him before writing a review (which I have, several times now). I also know from experience that a review calling them out publicly is the only thing that will get them to come fix things. Seriously, seriously avoid this company. read more

Well, hell, I wish I would've read these reviews before calling these incompetent, inconsiderate idiots. Unfortunately for me, the person who just sold me the Florida condo used this company to service the air conditioner. We hadn't even stayed there yet, and we already had to have a service call a month after purchase due to a leak from the unit upstairs that fried the electrical board which controls the air. We don't live in Florida (hence, the VACATION condo), so I had to have my 75 yr old stepfather go there for the appointment. They tell him to be there on Wednesday between 2-6pm, so he is there by 2. No calls, no show. He called me at 7pm to say they hadn't showed. I call and get stuck on hold for 30 minutes waiting for someone, and I get a rude call center person who says she can't do anything. She says she will get a "manager" to call my stepfather. No one called him. It was all BS. I finally told the poor guy to go home after he sat there 6.5 hrs in the heat. An hour after he left, I get a call from the service tech saying he had a bad day, truck broke down, etc. Well, that's great, but you obviously have a phone. Did you think maybe calling the person waiting for you might be a good idea? He says he will reschedule the appt to fit my stepfather's schedule which would be Friday morning between 8 and noon. I'm told we are FIRST ON THE LIST, so my stepfather should be there by 8am. He lives 45 minutes away, so he got up very early to beat rush hour and was there by 7:30am. Of course, he calls me at 11am to tell me no one showed yet. No call, no show. I call. I ask - no one knows. Can't get the tech to answer his phone because he's on another service call. What about "first on the list" do they not understand?? This results in my 75 yr old stepfather sitting another five hours in a hot condo waiting for these idiots. DO NOT use this company. They are horrible. Jasper, the tech, was a cool guy and clearly knows what he is doing, but I am starting to think he's the only guy who actually does the work, and they give him an impossible schedule. The icing on the cake was when the guy finally showed after 1pm, he installed the ordered part and then calls me to tell me there is no freon. I said, "how is that possible since that is exactly what you did on your service call a month ago and why I had your number to begin with?" He said, "Oh, maybe there is a leak". I said, "YES there is a leak since the paperwork YOU filled out says there was a leak and you were supposed to return to fix it!" Um, oh, uh... So, guess what? ANOTHER five days of waiting because another part had to be ordered, and they finally finished the work they were supposed to have finished before I even closed on this condo! I am still beyond pissed off right now that they would do this and not have a care about it. Every time someone promises to call me back, I get NOTHING. I had at least six promised call backs during this fiasco, and I never got one - not even when I called the "corporate customer relations" number and complained. I had to call THEM back. And they were useless too. Furthermore, you would think with all of this terrible service, they would say, "We are so sorry. We will discount the charge" or something like that. But, nope. Let us waste ENTIRE DAYS for you with zero consideration, and then you can pay in full.No idea how this company stays in business. TOTAL CRAP! I don't care how hot you are that your air isn't working. I'd sooner bring in a random guy walking around Home Depot before I'd ever call this company again. Stay away! read more

I signed up for Home Depot to give me a quote on a new AC unit. They subcontracted the job to ARS. The company sounded very professional on the phone and communicated very well. When they arrived, (30 minutes late by the way but no big deal) they immediately told me that I definitely needed a new AC and they had some great specials. Hello high pressure salesman. I wanted a heat pump for efficiency and they told me it wasn't necessary and I should just get a straight AC unit because it wasn't worth the price. The price they gave me for a 3 ton 15 SEER unit straight AC was about $7500. I insisted I wanted a price for a heat pump since that is what every other contractor recommended. The basically rolled their eyes an insisted it wasn't worth it. The price they came back with was $13,000 for a 3 ton heat pump! Are you kidding me? My house is less than 1900 sqft. I politely asked them to leave. The next day the manager called me to follow up and graciously offered a discount for my experience. I passed. They called again several days later, this time an even more senior manager. He offered to put the Heat Pump AC unit in and give me such a great deal that they would actually lose money. Really???? I felt like I was at a Time Share presentation. He offered the heat pump unit for about $5700, more than half of the original price of 13K! I was offended that they had such an incredible mark up and were backed by Home Depot. Very Disappointing! read more
