Jason and Brent go above and beyond! FAST! We just got a home in Alafaya and had been living here about a month and a half, and we were coming back from Lowes, right down the road, with a Shop Vac we just bought to drain the AC... Well when we got in wouldn't you know it there was a new SHOWER in our downstairs guest bathroom from a flooding AC up above! (We had workers putting in a floor and we forgot to turn off the AC so the coil was totally jammed with wood chips and all kinds of debris!) I called DC/AC and problem solved quickly! They cleaned the coils for a very affordable price and our Carrier now runs way better than when we moved in! We will definitely be using the DCAC team when this one kicks the bucket - though I have an intuition with them on my side that will be many many moons! read more

I was quite impressed with this service! I contacted them and someone picked up right away. The staff member who spoke to me was incredibly knowledgeable on their products and services. The person was kind enough to send me an email document breaking down their preventative maintenance plans and the benefits of them. I scheduled an appointment, and my technician, Stephen Chaplin, arrived right on schedule! Mr. Chaplin was incredibly friendly and personable. He knows his craft quite well, as he explained to me all of the details of what was happening regarding my A/C unit and the maintenance he was performing. I also got some great advice regarding cleaning my ducts and other maintenance tips. I also got some great bits of knowledge about Boston from Stephen, as he's from there and I was fortunate enough to visit that city. He was great to talk to. These folks are fantastic. They're a professional operation that does great work at fair prices. I'm very satisfied indeed!! read more

So thankful for these guys. After having a terrible experience with AHS's contractor, these guys were able to send someone out the next day on a Sunday am. He thoroughly inspected the entire system, made the repairs and that was that. Highly recommend! read more

i am over the moon right now, my experience with Jason and his company was beyond amazing! originally i had called out another company to diagnose my AC unit and they said i needed a motor replacement, i needed a new capacitor, i needed this and that and the total quote was about $3000. now i don't know much about ACs but i sure knew that i was getting ripped off. now, i got Jason's number from a friend who said that they only ever go with him. i called monday evening, he was at my doorstep tuesday morning. right from the start of the phone call he told me what he thought the problem could possibly be when i gave him my symptoms, it was extremely reassuring to hear someone who didn't just tell me "oh we can't tell you what the problem might be, we would need to send a technician out". when he came by, he was super friendly and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within minutes. guess what, the problem was not the motor and capacitor, it was a really simple fix, so simple in fact that Jason didn't even charge me anything. every step of the way, he was letting me know what he was doing, why he was doing it and it was more of an educational experience rather than what i've experienced with other AC companies who tried to keep me in the dark and not tell me what they were doing so they could charge me more for unnecessary work not just that, but i had a bunch of questions about HVAC stuff and Jason took the time to answer them fully and not just brush me off like other companies have done in the past it is extremely easy to be dishonest and charge an insane amount of money for parts and labor in the HVAC business as most customers do not know what they're looking at or even what to expect but Jason did not do that at all. he was honest right from the start and i think that is extremely hard to come by if you're ever looking for any work that needs to be done on your AC i cannot recommend this company enough, they have my business from now on and i don't think i will ever be contacting another company again! read more

What a wonderful experience. Stephen C was efficient, helpful and excellent with communication. I would recommend DC/AC to meet your air conditioning concerns. read more

Best A/C company around. Great service, quality work, outstanding technicians and quick turnaround time.

This company was professional, responsive, trustworthy, and effective. Blower fan in downstairs A/H on a Lennox was shot. Other companies would not be able to come for nearly a week, and another company was not willing to process the warranty claim. DC/AC came the day I called, and was able to replace the A/H the next day while also making the warranty claim, saving me over $600. THANK YOU! read more

"I'm so happy I had to get a new AC installed." - no one ever "I'm so happy I had to get a new AC installed by DC/AC." -this girl My AC went out in the middle of the summer in Florida. I mean, October. When it's still 90 out. I had another company come out to diagnose the problem, and they said I needed a new outside unit. They gave me a price and were going to return later that day to perform the work. I decided to call around because they seemed to quote me a little high, and I'm so glad that I did. DC/AC was the first place that came up on Google, so I gave them a call and Brent answered right away. He was ultra professional, heard out all my concerns, asked me all the right questions, and called me back right away with a quote that was $500 lower than the other company! He explained everything in great detail, and I felt confident hiring him right then and there on the phone. Zach and Jeff showed up a few hours later to perform the install. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and had the work done in less than 2 hours. They really took the time to test the unit, explain all the warranty information, and make sure I was happy with the work. Finding out you need a new AC sucks, but at least this great crew of hard-working technicians & the friendly, caring owner were on the receiving end of my hard-earned cash. read more

I fully recommend dc/ac they were right there on time my ac had died they added Freon to get me through the night and next day replaced the whole unit in about 5 hours thank you. read more

Honest, responsive, timely. I used them multiple times and they remediated things properly.

These guys are GREAT! They came out and had our AC fixed after part of it literally exploded in one day. The repairman actually stayed far after hours to ensure that our AC was up and running that same day so we wouldn't have to suffer in the heat. The owner was the one who did our estimate/initial consultation and he was absolutely wonderful - he was very friendly and taught us so much about our AC and what happened to it. He also made sure we got the best prices available on parts for it AND verified that the part which needed replaced was still under warranty - so we got it replaced for free whereas other places tried to quote us a price to replace it instead of checking to see if it's warrantied. (Just a note here, we only bought the house two years ago so we didn't really know for sure what was under warranty and what wasn't.) On top of that, the phone service was friendly and fast, and their prices are GREAT! Better than any other AC company we called in central FL! I have held on to some of their cards and share them every chance I get. Couldn't speak highly enough of this company. read more

Jason did not arrive with a face mask or wear a face mask during his servicing. This was extremely disappointing. His attitude was unpleasant and he even created/left a stain on our carpet. He was far from professional to say the least. To make matters worse, he spent 15 minutes tops in our home, quickly clearing a drain line using a hose, and we were left with an unexpectedly expensive bill. We will not be hiring this business again in the future. read more

The service was prompt courteous and very professional. I had a problem with my air conditioner and they scheduled me immediately to have Lenny in my home before 9:00 A.M. the next day. He was here today arrived on time with a great smile and the best attitude. Told my husband and I that we shouldn't worry and he took care of the rest. The price was fate, he explained the problem and he did the repair. Lenny was great and we hope not to have air conditioning problems again but when we do we will call again and ask for Lenny. After our service call late on Friday night, we are huge fans of DC/AC Air Conditioning and Heat! Friday night, our A/C unit out on the slab stopped working, and being summer in Florida, it started to warm up quickly. So, I did a general online search for air conditioning companies who offer 24/7 and called three different places, and the first two had no one available, and the third company told me they'd give me a call back once their tech was available. Then we contacted someone at DC and were told right away that they'd come out in 30 minutes. Within that timeframe, Stephen was there and he sorted out the problem ASAP. A new capacitor and all was well. The A/C fired right up, and within an hour it was cool again. DC/AC is our new go-to for AC issues, and I can't recommend them enough! Thank you, Stephen! read more

I've used DC/AC for several years and always been happy with the service. When my AC died in 95 degree heat, they came out on Sat. and determined the compressor was shot and I needed a new system. I explained I was on a tight budget and they gave me a good quote to replace plus was able to apply for financing on the website. System was installed quickly and one little thing was wrong so when I called a tech was sent out the same day to fix. I'll always use DC/AC. read more

First of all i have to say this is old school customer service. Called was answered promptly, arrived on time. Very knowledgeable about the problems. Fixed our problem fast. Friendly and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this company. read more

After inheriting my home from my father, I had to find a new A/C guy since the other one had retired. Brent, the owner, came out to my house for the annual checkup. He was on time and was and very informative - explaining everything he did will I watched! His rate for seasonal tuneup was reasonable and he told me that once a year for that service should be enough. He also noted that the pressure for the Freon was down, suggesting a leak, but after he put in two pounds with no change in pressure, he determined there was another cause. However, he did not charge me for the two pounds of Freon (which would have cost $150)! He found a major leak where the duct was coming out of the unit and recommended an inspection of all of the duct work - which revealed several tears from critters that had gotten under the home. Not only that, one of the main ducts was completely disconnected, which explained why only the vents in half of the home had air coming out of them. I also had noticed that the unit was not cooling the home down rapidly like it use to. Now I knew why! One of Brent's employees, John, did the replacement work and he also was informative, showing me what he was doing at each step. Brent was not going to be able to get to the job as quickly as I hoped, due to other projects, but rather than wait until after the weekend, he asked John to do the job on a Saturday, for which I was very grateful. I didn't want to air-condition the neighborhood any longer than I had to! DC/AC did a fantastic job and a reasonable price and I feel confident that I have my A/C guy for the foreseeable future. read more

Finding a reliable AC company is as difficult as finding a great auto mechanic. If you are lucky enough to stumble on to the right company don't ever let go. We thought we found the right guys several years ago until we had a major issue with our larger unit. We were told we had to replace it but things seemed a little fishy so we wanted a second opinion. Out of the blue we called DC/AC and found Brent. They cam out quickly and helped us determine that the guys we were using were incompetent or dishonest. This is one of those industries where you need to take the word of the expert you call. Most of us are clueless in matters like these. DC/AC has been my go to since 2010. We have never been disappointed and we always feel comfortable with their diagnosis. I know I can reach the owner if there is a problem but members of his team have never made me want to call him. Great group all around. You would be hard pressed to find a better company when things get hot. read more

I called this company due to both my a/c units failing. Brent picked up and told me he would be able to stop by right after his current job. Talk about speedy service. Brent is a very knowledgeable and just a all around good person. We spoke as he worked on my a/c unit and he even taught me about my own unit along the way. He was very reasonably priced and I won't hesitate to call him again if I ever need service. I also normally never put reviews. But I felt like the service that was provided needs to be shared so that other may find it useful. Thanks again Brent. Finally I can sleep with a/c. read more

These guys have done several jobs for us at a couple different houses, ranging from an elaborate move of an air handler from an attic to a garage + re-ducting, to a simple installation of a Nest thermostat (made slightly less simple by a broken wire when we removed the original thermostat - WHY are the wires behind thermostats always so freakin' short?) and they are always prompt to return calls, on time for appointments, professional and competent, and reasonably priced. One of the very few contractors I don't hesitate to recommend. read more

We had a complete Lennox HVAC installed by Josh and Jeff. These guys were very neat and thorough while working. You can tell they take pride in their work and are very professional. After 3 days of no A/C, and botched attempts to schedule an appointment with the big boys, a competitor recommended I call DC/AC to get my system looked at. Man was I glad I did. Brent(owner) and Devon (employee) showed up at the time they said they would, shocker I know. He was quick and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions honestly and truthfully. Would definitely use DC/AC for any future HVAC needs. Thanks Brent! read more

Can't say enough about Brent, the owner of DC-AC . He could have easily made a big job out of my a/c unit not working properly, but instead, said all it needed was to be flushed. He flushed it out, showed me how to avoid clogs in the future, checked the freon levels and charged the service call fee. That was it! In these times, it is so refreshing to have an honest, dependable, on time service technician. . If ever I or anyone else I know needs a/c service, he's my only choice! read more

Back in 2014 we called DC/AC because of their excellent online reviews and had them install a new unit. The install went well and the team there, including Josh was very professional and knowledgeable. Through no fault of DC/AC, the unit we had installed had an issue due to what I believe is the fact that (at least) one coil is made of copper vs. aluminum. Apparently, copper blows (and not in the cool way) in the Florida heat and aluminum is better. Over the past two years, we've had to call these guys out and they've always been super responsive, ultra professional and willing to go the extra mile. To echo some other Yelpers, it does seem quite rare these days to work with just plain honest, hard working people who put the customer first. Thanks for making our home less Bikram yoga studio and more cool and comfortable :-) read more

DC/AC has been the best home repair service company we have ever dealt with. The owner (Brent) is quick to respond and has personally come to our house the same day our unit stopped working on multiple occasions. As noted in other reviews, he offers very reasonable rates and has even shown me how to handle some of the simple problems myself. It's a great feeling to have an AC company you can rely on in Florida. Highly recommended. read more

I've only used these guys once, but would definitely use them again! I live in Colorado and rent out my condo near UCF in Oviedo, Florida. My renter notified me that the A/C stopped working and it was 86 degrees in the condo. I called these guys this morning, they were there within a few hours, fixed the issue and were very reasonable with what they charged to fix it. DC/AC will be my "go to" A/C people going forward. Quick, awesome customer service and reasonable prices. I'm always worried about getting ripped off by service providers and that is not the case with these guys. I highly recommend them! :) read more

It's very easy for ac repair people to take advantage of you. I was worried that they were going to tell me I need a new unit or that the repair would be thousands of dollars. We had Josh come by the house and figured out the problem, and fixed it. The was honest and fair, and I was pleased. Thanks read more

Very disappointed. While the owner was nice, we have had issues and are very underwhelmed. We had a very small leak on our ceiling that appeared to be coming from our upstairs AC unit. We called DC AC as soon as we noticed it and a few days later a repairman was sent out. He said there were absolutely no issues and it was from something different. He checked both our ac units, we paid him ($100.00), and that was it. Two weeks later a floodgate of water came seeping through the once tiny spot that he claimed was not an issue. We called them again right away and we were told they couldn't get anyone out to us for two days. Fine, we will deal with it until then. Our scheduled day comes up (which I had to take off work for) and he calls and says that there are so many other things going on that he couldn't make it out to us. Annoyed, but giving him the benefit of a doubt we reschedule for two days later. After all, we had already paid them once to come out and felt that they should come and fix what they claimed wasn't broken to begin with. This time a different repairman comes claims he sees the issue and 'fixes' it with another $85.00 charge-with who knows how much water damage. Not even joking a week later the same thing happens; flooding from the unit upstairs. We make shifted a contraption that would catch the water now that we knew where it was coming from and called DC AC again. At this point we're very irritated and feel that they should fix the issue for free. We have scheduled three appointments with them for them to call and cancel the day of with the excuse that "we're too far away" (even though our area is listed above as part of their jurisdiction they cover). Mind you now we have drywall damage because it took them so long to come back out from the previous occasions. We have called another AC company out and the second he saw the unit he knew exactly what was wrong and it was a simple fix that caused a heck of a lot of damage because it wasn't caught in the beginning when we first called. Not only that , but the work that DC AC did preform wasn't even correct according to the new AC repairmen. read more

Called last night to have someone come out bc my AC is not working, he could not come out last night but said he could make it out this morning, I went ahead and agreed bc I figured I could make it through the night with no AC this is June 30th so it's in the hottest point of the year by the way. HE couldn't give me a specific time so we agreed he would call when he was on his way and I would confirm I was home. He called at 8:49 am, I was in the bathroom so I didn't answer but I immediately called him back at 8:52 am and he tells me it took too long for me to call him back so he had moved onto a commercial job. When I explained that I would've made more calls last night to get another company out here in the morning if he wouldn't not have been dedicated to coming out here he just laughed at me and told me I was ridiculous and it was my fault for not answering the phone, DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY, they will laugh I the face of a residential customer and now I'm stuck trying to find someone to come out with a high of 92* today... read more

Wow, can't say enough about this company and its owner, Brent. This is the second time in about about a year I've used them. Out to my house within hours and I still can't believe both times I got an honest and reasonable quote.
