This restaurant is relatively inexpensive so that was very nice. The portions were very large. The staff was sweet. I enjoyed my food and was able to make three meals out of it. I really loved that they brought you free queso along with the salsa; that's a nice touch. I have only one complaint: I requested an order of beans and rice to go and they placed it in a styrofoam clamshell container. The beans were wet and loose (and delicious!) and were spilling out before they even made it to the table. So not only did I lose product I paid for, but it made a huge mess. The food is good.....but the restaurant is very unsanitary. The salt and pepper shakers were dirty, the booth was dirty (not the tabletop) , the entry door to the restaurant hasn't been wiped, the front windows had dead insects and a lot of dirt, the baseboards looked filthy, the ceiling fan was filthy, the lights were dirty, the menu was greasy, the floor was grimy, it ALL just needs immediate attention. We have been 3 times in the last few weeks and it's always the same. I have never seen anyone wiping anything. They are in the back playing or on their phones. No adults around, just kids. read more

Went to Arroyo's last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed our food and service. We were a party of five and We ordered chicken fajitas, fish and shrimp skillet, chili relleno, chicken tacos and ground beef tacos. Everything was really good and the prices were decent. You get free queso with your chips and salsa and everyone got their own dish of queso. They have three salsas, one warm, and two cold. They were really good! Portions were large, most of us took food home. Our waitress Adriana was very sweet and attentive. The ONLY complaint I have and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the chicken fajitas were overcooked and definitely dry. Did I eat them, ABSOLUTELY lol. Food was okay. Was not impressed that I paid $8.00 for a large queso and got two tiny dipping cups and a half bag of chips. I also paid $6 for salsa, got one small cup and when I say cup I mean the small condiments cup size. And then no more chips. Either they completely missed the large item request or they are over charging big time. Ordered online and given a window, it was ready an additional 30 minutes after that window. I wanted one of each but after I placed my order they were out of carnitas so I got two El Pastor tacos, one ground beef, one crane asada and one chicken. The staff was extremely nice from beginning to end of our meal. It doesn't look fancy but it decor embrace the former train depot atmosphere. The food was fantastic from the beginning, with 2 types of salsa and queso cheese brought with the chips... to the meals. We had shrimp quesadillas, the Acapulco, and the burrito supreme. The portions were huge. It was so good we wanted to eat more but couldn't possibly do so. To go boxes for everyone with fantastic leftovers the next day. Delicious food. A great price. And the staff was genuinely nice, not just customer service friendly, but really thoughtful.
