I took my Prius here by recommendation of another shop that didn't handle the specific issue I was having. I kept smelling mold in my car and couldn't figure out why. I was able to figure out water was getting into the vehicle but I wasn't sure how. I told Ohan I believed there was black mold somewhere in the car. He said that was unlikely as it takes black mold a long time to form. I had been experiencing this issue for a couple months at that point and it felt like a red flag for him to be dismissive but, I was desperate to get this issue resolved. Ohan and his team did a water test for $250 and was able to determine where the water was coming in from. When they took the car apart, they found that there was indeed significant black mold in one area. They had a detailing team come to the shop to try to remove the mold smell from the car. Ohan also did some type of deodorizing bomb in the car in attempt to fully remove the smell. He also told me no interior parts of car affected by the water and mold needed to be replaced. When I went to pick up the car, the smell from the deodorizing bomb was so overwhelming but Ohan assured me that there was no mold smell before he did the bomb which didn't make sense to me, why do the bomb if it was already resolved? Despite his reassurance, I could still smell some mold. He told me to wait a week or two for the deodorizer smell to go away and then everything should be fine. I foolishly trusted him and drove my car home. The smell from the bomb was so overwhelming that it made me sick on the drive home from his shop. I called back the next day to ask what the name of the bomb was and his receptionist Jennifer said she would have Ohan call me back. He never did. I waited for a couple weeks and it was obvious the mold smell was still there. I called ahead and Jennifer told me to bring the car in and that Ohan would look at it. As soon as I pulled in, Ohan drove away. Jennifer said he was probably just parking that car and he would be right back. However, he didn't come back right away. Once he did come back, he went on to another issue. I'm not sure if he and Jennifer have significant communication issues or what but it felt like he was trying to avoid me. Both he and Jennifer agreed there was still a mold smell. Ohan's suggestions at that point were to 1). Sell my car or 2). Try another deodorizer bomb. I was appalled he suggested selling my car to "fix" the issue. That is not a possibility for me at this time. He also said he would order another deodorizer bomb and call me in a few days. He never did. Another issue is that when I left, my left rear turn signal was blinking fast. I figured the bulb probably needed replaced. I went and got a new bulb but the issue wasn't fixed. I even swapped the bulb from the working taillight to make sure it wasn't just a bad bulb but still, it wasn't working. I called Ohan to tell him this and he told me I probably just had bought the wrong bulb. I ended up taking it to a different shop because I had no faith Ohan would be accountable and fix the issue. Turns out, the bulb wasn't properly plugged in! Are you kidding me?! At no point did he apologize for any of the things he did wrong because I don't think he believes he did anything wrong whatsoever. It seems like he felt he was doing me a favor by taking on this issue with my car that he had never dealt with before. 2 months later, I can still smell mold. I have to find a mold specialist and remediator now. I have a feeling certain parts of interior actually needed to be replaced and not just detailed. Instead of wasting my time, I wish Ohan would've just been honest with me and said this was out of his area of expertise. It has taken so much of my time, effort and energy trying to get this issue resolved. Not to mention the potential health issues from the mold which I have to get tested for now. Edit: In response to the owner's review, I misspoke about the $250 water test, my insurance did cover that. What I paid was closer to $300 which was for the part that needed replaced + labor. Otherwise, as you can see, he does not apologize or acknowledge the errors or massive inconvenience which only shows his character. He just wants to be "right." As a business owner myself, this is no way to handle a customer grievance. Luckily, this is Los Angeles and there are hundreds of other auto shops to choose from than this one. read more

So, I found myself back at Arroyo Auto again. Had used their service in 2022. I again was very pleased with the service here. Now under new management with Ohannes being in charge. I was still very happy with the results of my car in the end. Only one thing was an issue and that was not caused by Arroyo's. Towards the end of the repairs Ohannes was not happy with the paint job and wanted to correct it. This caused my car to be with the a little longer. As you may know, Insurance Companies could care less about that. However, this caused me to have to pay more on the car rental as I ended up having the rental for 32 days instead of the 30 that they paid for. Ugh. Again, I had a good experience with Arroyo and extremely pleased with the professionalism of the work performed and customer service. I hope I won't have to see you again! LOL read more

I took my car to Arroyo after my mechanic recommended them. Maribel Juarez was fantastic and they did a great job color matching. Their attention to detail on the ancillary parts that needed replacing/refinishing was exceptional. They also dealt directly with the insurance company promptly. Stay away from this shop! At first, they made me feel like royalty, Maribel WAS very nice and they did good work on the repair. I was told I had a warranty on the repairs and that gave me false peace of mind. After about two months I started hearing a rattling noise coming from the wheel/side the repair was made. I have been completely ignored by Maribel, I've called several times and gone twice to see if they can take a look at the car and the only excuse she has given is that they don't have a mechanic. I finally had to take the car to a mechanic and pay for something this shop should've taken care of.
