Rude phone manners. Company posted hours of operation as opening at 8 a.m. I had scheduled pick up…read moreat 9 a.m. I hadn't heard from the driver by 8:45 a.m. so I called to confirm. Whomever answered the phone said they didn't know and that they had just walked in! Really??? Then proceeded to say let me see what driver is picking up. We hang up and I get a call from the driver, apologizing and sounding frustrated, saying he's going to be an hour late because they scheduled him somewhere else for another pickup! So what I'm junking my truck? My time is valuable to me. A phone call to notify me in advance would have been professional and courteous.

I had a pick up schedule for the following day for a broken down boiler in pieces. Forty minutes…read moreafter I scheduled the pick up 2 men show up at my door telling me they are here to pick up boiler. I also want to state it was not it a visible spot. I asked them if they were from the company and they said yes. I moved my car so they could drive the van towards the back and load up the boiler. They were about to leave and then I stopped them because I was waiting for my estimate (which now I am obviously suspicious). They said the scale was at the shop. I demanded they returned the boiler, which they did. They nervously slinked back to there van and drove off. OK...I wasn't born yesterday. This was OBVIOUSLY an inside job. When I reported this incident the first time the women seemed a bit defensive and tried to brush me off. The second time a guy answered who was a lot nicer but totally dismissed the situation. I also wasn't surprised that the manager never called me back which I had requested. I don't know what's creepier...the fact that two crooks show up at my door sent by someone from the company or that after I reported it to 2 workers there the both of them seemed like it was not a big deal.

The stuff was extremely heavy, including multiple pieces of old furniture and an old player piano. Scrap-it was there on time and they did a fabulous job removing everything, even up the steep basement stairs. They were reasonably priced and very friendly. Highly recommend this company for junk removal!
