Highly recommend this place for the repair services!I had an engine coolant problem with my vehicle, and Val was very professional and on time delivery, also very helpful give me a good recommendation read more

Called and guy on the phone was a douche. New customer here with questions, was condescending. Don't come here unless you want these guys to treat you like you're stupid. Big pass. read more

Arrow Auto Repair is top notch. My whole family takes their cars there. Very reasonably priced and more importantly, they are honest. Val, the shop owner, only tells you what work actually needs to be done and then prices fairly with labor costs. Val and his mechanics are knowledgeable and reliable. I would recommend Arrow Auto Repair to anyone who needs great mechanic work done competently and at a good price. read more

Don't bother coming here . They have coupon with no appointment necessary and decided to walk in. The owner or whoever it was give me an attitude and told me he have so many cars to work on. All I wanted to ask him how much he would charged to rewire my brake lights. He kept complaining about how many cars he gotta work on and tell me he doesn't know what I'm talking about my brake lights and doesn't know what's wrong with it. I explained to him about it and he walked away waving his hands . Unprofessional. read more

It's not every day that you experience a business in Los Angeles so outstanding that you are impelled to yelp. Arrow Auto is one of these such businesses. It is not possible to speak too highly about its quality of service, reliability, value, responsiveness or overall competence. This mechanic has excelled my expectations in every way. Val, the owner, saved my own business vehicle today. He took me in when I called him this morning, even though I had no appointment, and saw me right away. He fixed the problem in approximately 5 minutes. He fixed a couple of other non-urgent problems that I asked him about. He charged me such a reasonable price I had to ask if he was certain. I am so happy to know Arrow Auto, and anyone else who does is extremely fortunate. And so is their car. read more

I would strongly recommend this auto shop. I had an intermittent issue that was very hard to track down causing my car not to start. 2 mechanics later, Val was able to pinpoint the issue and fix it for a great price. Huge relief! Many thanks! read more

I've been going to Val for years now. He's the only mechanic I trust to do great work and not overcharge! Customer fir life! read more

This is probably one of the most unprofessional shops I have ever come to discover. If I never needed auto work done, it wouldn't be from this place. The owner loves to park the cars all over the street preventing other cars from parking and GOD FORBID you go near his driveway...the man will come out screaming profanities and leave shitty little notes on your car because he isn't man enough to say something to your face. What an embarrassing place. 0/10 suck my ass. read more

I have been coming here for years! Val (the owner) is very honest and sincere. For example, I have taken my car to him because I thought I needed new breaks and after he checked out my car, he told me my breaks were fine and to come back later in the year to recheck. What other mechanic does that?! He's the BEST! read more

Val is awesome I brought my jeep here last year for a temp sensor issue which I couldnt find myself and he was able to diagnose and repair it the same day he was honest didnt try to give me some fake diagnostic since I ran the codes myself at home....the price for the repair was really reasonable I have a few more upgrades to make and I know exactly where to go read more

12 Years and would never trust anyone else but Val and his crew. Fair prices and honesty what more can i say about a great man like Val.

I NEVER had an auto repair place I could truly TRUST until a friend told me about Arrow. I love Val and trust him explicitly. So nice after years and years and YEARS and years to have someone who I'm comfortable with no matter what he says. The first time I went there, the Cadillac dealer had told me for the 3rd time that I needed $3000 of work. I went to Val, he fixed a loose wire for me and DIDN'T CHARGE A CENT. read more

Over 40 years ago, My Parents were visiting and my car needed a new air conditioner or compressor as every place we took the car said. My father got out the yellow paged and found arrow auto electric. This was back when Val was located on Sepulveda. Dad and I drove my car up there and Val looked it over tested everything and he said you just have a slight leak and you don't need a new compressor or AC. Val fixed the leak and charged me $25. All these years later three different cars later I'm still going to Val. He is honest, he is trustworthy and very reliable. I'm just thankful my father found Val in the Yellow Pages. R read more

Val is honest and most knowledgeable person that I have seen in automacanic indusry, he looks at all option to take care of the customers need. I recommend arrow auto electic to all my friends and families. Than you Val for all great job that you done for me. read more

I have been having trouble with my ac over the last few years and no other shops seemed to fix it. Val and his team are super honest and figured out the problem very quickly. When they replaced a bad resistor it fixed the problem for the most part, but wasn't all the way fixed. When I came back they said the ac switch needed replaced and they fixed it free of charge! This place is amazing and I will definitely be coming back to Val in the future if I have any more car issues read more

I found Val online (good reviews) a few years ago for my friend, Richard. Since that time he takes all company vehicles, as well as his personal to Val. He was so impressed with their knowledge, honesty, costs & attitude that he sent me there in January for several issues on my old vehicle. They took good care of me, and my car of course. Even though it's not in my immediate area, which is always more convenient, I make my way there knowing my car is in good hands. read more

I have been a customer of Val, owner of Arrow auto electric in Van Nuys for over 30 years now. Val has always treated me like family when I come in for service. Today I visited him with my wife's Kia that the air conditioning stopped working. I drove right in from Santa Clarita and within a few minutes Val had one of his mechanics take a look at my car. You know that feeling you get when you do have a problem with your car and expect the worse is going to happen, well at Arrow auto electric you don't have that feeling. Val told me he performed a leak test, and told me all it needed was to be recharged. If you need a mechanic for your car and don't want to be ripped off, go see Val the most honest mechanic you will ever find. read more

I've been a customer of Arrow Electric for several years, bringing in maybe 4 or 5 different cars. Val has been in the area for about 30 years, and he's a very good, knowledgeable mechanic. Pricing has always been fair, and trust me, I've shopped around. This is the ONLY place I'll take my buckets of bolts! read more

My aircon suddenly stop working and i saw this shop at yelp after reading all the good reviews I decided to go and all the good reviews are true.. this is the kind of shop that will not rip you off they are so honest. I ended up paying only the labor, it was just a loose connection to my compressor. Im glad to find this place, highly recommended... read more

Took my car there because they were a perfered place for my extended warranty . dropped off my car at 7:30 am at 5 went back and was told the owner wasn't there so they couldn't look at it. No one called . went back the next day around 4 and got the same response . two days and no one even looked at my car. Sad service. I took my car to another place and they look at it right away. Will never come back to this place. read more

Took my boat in on 10 minutes notice, diagnosed and fixed another mechanics mistake on the spot. Highly recommended.

First time coming to this auto shop and was recommended from Quest Auto. I was in need of a mechanic shop to remove and replace my hybrid battery for my Prius. I had my Toyota towed from BVA in Santa Monica to Arrow Auto. My car was dropped off just after closing time. The next day I waited for more than an hour and half to be told they are unable to perform the job. I was very disappointed in how this situation was handled. I'm sure they are a great shop by the looks of reviews and number of stars they have. If you have a Prius that needs its hybrid battery replaced.... be sure to call first and confirm they are able to perform such task. In the end I had to tow my Prius to another mechanic shop to perform this remove and replace of the battery. Waste of time and money. read more

This auto shop has helped me out on numerous occasions. Val, the owner, is one of the most genuine and smart people when it comes to auto repair. The diagnostic cost goes toward the repair, so once he finds the issue, it's just ordering the part amd getting it done. I have not had a better business experience. Give them a call or stop by. Open on Saturdays till 1:30. read more

Had my car serviced here recently at the suggestion of friends and family who have been taking their cars to Val (the owner) for years. Since my car is a recent German made car with lots of computers and sensors in it, I was hesitant to take it to an independent mechanic fearing that they wouldn't have all of the electrical tools and software to correctly diagnose and fix my engine's issues. Well I was clearly WRONG... All parts were replaced, sensors reset and it runs like new again! Before taking it to a 'stealer-ship', at least get a quote from this guy. He's not the most talkative person but I was beyond impressed with their quality of work, thoroughness, and super-fair pricing. read more

Val has been my go to mechanic since I got my 1st car at 16. He is verry honest and would actually give you a real honest opinion and suggestions in what is best or needed for the repair. Where as other shops i've been to would just try to up sale me on something I dont need I highly recomend Val. pluss his prices are verry reasonable. read more

if you need to have a repair done, these guys will do it and at a normal price. however, i had a number of things done with my car and going to another mechanic later about other issues, things were pointed out about how the work at Arrow had been done. nothing fraudulent, but simply not comprehensive. packing tape left on a piece that was installed in the engine. things like that which you would hope would have been done better. if you need to get something done, my experience is that it will basically get done here. no ripoff or anything like that. however, if you expect a top notch job where all details are taken care of, this was not my experience. read more

If there was a choice for zero stars, i wouldve chosen that! Brought my car here because it was a shop used under my warranty. I needed to get it diagnosed. The man at the desk was very rude and nasty. He told me that he had to get into the engine to run a diagnosis, and that I would have to leave my car there ALL DAY! Uh? He must've thought I was stupid. I will never go back. read more

Anyone looking for an honest repair shop should look no further. Val, the owner, is the nicest fellow. His crew are always saying hello to me, as I am there often with one of the five cars my family has. I have referred many friends there...all have been happy. Sometimes you don't want to refer friends in case there is a problem:that does not happen here. Check this business out...you wont be disappointed. read more

It's hard to find a REALLY good auto electric and general repair shop -- one where you can depend on it to find and fix a problem correctly without guessing, where the prices are better than fair, and where the owner stands by his work -- but Arrow Auto Air & Electric is the best I have found in the central San Fernando Valley. I have been taking cars to him for several years (more than 10), and have never been disappointed. Better than that, I've always been positively pleased. Val is the owner, and he is not your average mechanic -- he is an electrical engineer by training, and it shows in his knowledge of auto systems and his careful approach to finding and diagnosing a problem. No guesswork here! (By the way, he is also so patient and low-key, I've never seen him act any other way.). He also has had a very stable crew of experienced mechanics working with him -- he doesn't hand off a job to some on-the-job apprentice and hope for the best! Don't let the words "Air & Electric" on the sign mislead you -- the shop does all kinds of other mechanical work on vehicles. Beyond the skill of the shop, Val's business practices are top notch and hard to find. First, because he is so good at diagnosing, he often can repair a problem without having to install a lot of new (and expensive) parts. Early on I had a hard-to-find electrical problem with a truck, and the dealer estimated the repair would be $1100+.. Val figured it out, repaired a couple bad connections in the fuse box, and charged me less than $284. Five years later, it's still running fine. Second, he really stands behind his work, and he always gives you the feeling that you are his most important customer. Nothing but raves from me for Arrow Auto Air & Electric! read more

This is the BEST place to have your air conditioner repaired. They are so honest and fair with their pricing. The most important thing is that they really know their stuff!!! I highly recommend them. We drove from Santa Clarita to this wonderful repair shop. We were having problems with our air conditioner not cooling especially when we were stopped at a red light. We took our car to the DEALERSHIP, they put in a new compressor and fan....this did not solve the problem....after a big bill. The dealership did not fix it!! So, a friend recommended Val at Arrow. He found the problem which had nothing to do with the compressor or fan. He fixed it for a very reasonable price and it has been working perfectly!! read more

After dropping off my car on August 3 2007, Arrow (818-780-8020) had made commitments that my air conditioning would be fixed: August 10, 2007 August 13, 2007 Realizing they did not meet their commitments, I literally gave them the deadline face to face on the 14th to complete the work by August 15 at 5pm. I did not receive a phone call telling me my car was ready as I told their employees in person. Please note, as I have told Arrow face to face, I was obligated to rent a car since August 3 2007 at $60+/day. So Arrow is turing out to be a very expensive shop since my car is still not ready, 13+ days after dropping it off. As of August 16, 2007 after $780+ in car rental and another $800 for one part with who knows how much in labor, since they have never quoted any amount of time or cost for labor since dropping it off; I have no idea how much this is all going to cost me. Please note, I have dropped by their garage 5+ times to find out what the heck was going on and everytime I got some lame excuse that it's a complicated problem but my car is STILL note ready. I am extremely dissappointed with their performance and have no choice but to take my car back in the state its in, NOT repaired. So, anyone who is interested in helping me out would be appreciated. Again, Arrow has given me no choice, I will drop by and take my car back, regardless if they fixed the problem. As of today the 16th 2007, they have not kept their commitments to complete the work as stated by this business. read more

I've been around a long time, and owned a lot of cars, and the hardest thing I've found to do is to find a good auto electrician. Auto Arrow is far beyond good! Val, the owner, is actually an electrical engineer, who worked on cars to get through college, then he stayed with them and opened his own shop. He knows electrical systems top to bottom and front to back, and carefully DIAGNOSES a problem instead of just guessing and changing parts, like so many other shops do. His shop does more than just electrical work, but I haven't needed those services yet. But Val is honest and competent, so my guess he does an equally good job with whatever work he performs. His prices are fair, and since he really knows what he is doing, you don;t get stuck paying for parts you really didn't need. read more

After many years of searching around to find an honest guy to work on a car, I've ended my search. Val the owner of Arrow Auto has got to be the BEST at what he does. He provides honest service at very fair prices. Hes fixed a couple of AC's in my personal cars and many friends have gotten their AC's fixed here as well. He explains in detail what happened and what it will take to fix the issue. This guy is an electrical and AC specialist who guarantees his work and the quality parts he uses. He saved me $28K when I brought in a lemon I was dead set on buying, the engine head was cracked. I would have sent $28k on an headache. He could have said its ok then charged me to fix it when it went bad, talk about honesty. When they weren't super busy, he had one of his guys drop me off at home. Amazing service, professional man, an authentic business that's rare to see these days! read more
