Val is a reliable mechanic. Anytime I have a car problem, whether it's relatively small or very serious, this is the place to go.

I requested a brake inspection, which was really quick, turned out I had to get my rear brakes changed. They offered to do it the same day for a very reasonable price and less than 3 hours later, my car was ready. Joe has worked on my car for small items like brakes and oil changes all the way up to getting some check engine light issues fixed. Pricing is always great. Brought my car here for a diagnostic thinking the issue was one thing only to find out "no, you don't need that," and saved me a bunch of money I would have likely spent elsewhere. He didn't push me to fix anything that didn't need fixing and pointed out a few things that were old that I might want replaced so I just took all his suggestions because it's a very old car and it needed some extra care. All the five star reviews are well deserved!! Highly recommended.

I am disappointed with this shop. I went after seeing good reviews.Although, I like the customer…read moreservice from owner and the technician. I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill. The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.

I've exclusively owned Hondas so I'm aware of what tends to wear and when. I had shopped a dealership and another independent shop before deciding on West Auto. Belts, bushings, plugs, pads, rotors, joints, struts, filters, tend to go at some points. As a matter of course the fluids, battery and any adjustments were done. The following is noteworthy. Communication in all areas, is on point, from repairs, to logistics. The cost is reasonable and it's clear what needs to be done and when. The front office of the shop is well taken care of, which is also indicative of the work done on vehicles at the back of the shop. The people I spoke to were polite, considerate, and through. My 2012 is now like a "brand new used car". I look forward to bringing a newer car in for some detective work on the mystery sound coming out of the rear "body" when in reverse on an incline.

I'm updating this review because the business response is misleading…read more I have a voicemail from Steve clearly stating that they did not want to get involved with my vehicle because another shop had already worked on it and he did not want me to possibly "get upset at them too." That was the exact reasoning given. This was not about warranty. It was not about saving me money. I was fully prepared to pay for an inspection or any necessary correction. I was simply asking for a professional second opinion. If a shop refuses work because they're concerned a customer might "get upset," that raises serious questions about confidence in their own work. A reputable shop stands behind its skills and diagnoses issues regardless of who previously touched the vehicle. Changing the explanation publicly after the fact does not reflect well. I stand by what I said. I had a very disappointing experience at Automotive Instincts in Northridge. I called and spoke with Steve about looking at my car after another shop had worked on it, and he basically told me they didn't want to touch it because another shop already did the work. His reasoning was that he didn't want me to "get upset at them too." That makes absolutely no sense. As a customer, I'm simply looking for a professional second opinion or proper correction if something wasn't done right. Refusing to even inspect the vehicle just because another shop previously worked on it feels unprofessional and dismissive. Cars get worked on by multiple shops all the time -- that's normal. Turning someone away out of fear of a bad review instead of standing behind your own skills says a lot. Very disappointing customer service. I expected more professionalism and confidence from a shop with such high ratings.

Service/Professionalism: five stars Quality of Work: five…read morestars Ambiance: five stars Cost: five stars Finding a trustworthy and quality body shop is like finding a needle in a haystack. In Los Angeles, the driving capital of the world, there isn't a shortage of mechanics and body shops but not all are created equally. JoJo's Auto Body is top notch! My dad has been a client of Manar and JoJo's Auto Body for various projects and of course recommended him highly. My dad is of a certain generation where nothing less than perfection is acceptable, so I knew he'd done his due diligence. JoJo's had done some significant work on two of my parents' cars. Of course, then, I contact Manar. Unfortunately, parked right in front of our home, my driver's side view mirror was clipped by a passing car that had drifted. I happened to be inside the car and the car drifted right, hit the mirror and sped off. Immediately after, I contacted Manar. We scheduled an intake. He was punctual, professional, and transparent about options and cost. He provided me with the necessary information and I felt absolutely no pressure to make a decision immediately. He had one of his technicians tape up the remnants of the rear view mirror to cover it while we decided. A few weeks passed and we decided to have the entire mirror replaced. We asked Manar to let us know when the mirror would arrive and we could just come in and have it taken care of quickly. He contacted me on a Monday to say the mirror replacement was at the shop. We scheduled a time for me to take the car on Wednesday and within 35 minutes of arriving the work was done. In addition to his professionalism, quality of work, and honesty, Jojo's is a well managed and kept body shop. I mean no one really wants to sit around a body shop but if ever you need to, JoJo's is immaculate. There is plenty of parking, clear signage, and a welcome reception and office manager. Each visit I was asked if I needed anything to drink, including water or coffee. There is clear management signage about their policies and pricing No one ever wants to deal with body work but if you have to, please do yourself a favor and go to JoJo's Auto Body! It has quickly become our family go-to!

They fixed the damage in a matter of minutes and for a very reasonable fee! So reasonable, I felt the need to tip the artist, Nelson (I believe is his name). HOWEVER why bother to learn, buy the tools/paint, and do the work, when you can leave the job to the experts for a much faster turn around and for a reasonable price?? Glad I went to JoJo again. Manar the owner and his crew are good people. Don't plan on scratching my car again, but if I do, these are my go-to guys. If you don't believe me, read all the other yelp reviews. Responsive, honest mobile mechanic -- made fixing my son's truck from out of town incredibly easy…read more I live in Ventura, but my college-aged son lives in Newhall while attending school. Recently he noticed the battery light stayed on and several electrical things weren't working correctly. Thankfully he drove the truck straight back to his apartment. Since I don't know any repair shops in the area and didn't want to deal with towing the truck somewhere, I searched for a mobile mechanic and found On The Go Mechanic. I reached out around 7 PM on a Friday, and he responded by 9 PM that same night. By 10 AM Saturday morning, he was already at my son's apartment. The diagnostic was $75, and he quickly confirmed the problem was the alternator. He explained that it might take until Tuesday or Wednesday to locate the correct OEM alternator and mentioned he prefers OEM because many aftermarket ones don't last as long. I appreciated the honesty. He didn't require a deposit and said he'd call when he located the part. To my surprise, first thing Monday morning he called to say he had tracked one down, but there were two possible versions and he needed to remove the old one to confirm which was correct. He came out, removed the alternator, sourced the right replacement, and returned shortly after. After a deposit for the part, he finished the job in about two hours, including reinstalling everything. He even sent me a video of the truck running with the correct voltage reading, which was great since I wasn't there in person. Because I was coordinating everything remotely from Ventura, this could have been stressful -- but he made the whole process very easy, transparent, and professional. Communication was excellent and payment through Zelle was simple. If you' need a reliable mobile mechanic, I would absolutely recommend On The Go Mechanic.
