Dave is one of the Good Guys. I first called Dave at the end of 2021 my Speed Queen was making a very strange noise. Since we were still under warranty Speed Queen gave us David's contact information. Turns out there was a part that was the problem and David was able to fix it and he also balanced our machine. Fast forward 2022 my Speed Queen Washer is making a variety of noises ranging from a machine gun rat-a-tat-tat to a hissing squealing sound close to a zydeco band tuning up. At this time I know I am no longer under warranty but I decide to call Dave. Dave once again arrived promptly, was friendly, kind and courteous and the very best part able to fix our machine in no time at all she no longer squeaks, thuds, rat a tat tat's or hums. His fee was very very honest and reasonable. My husband said Dave is reminiscent of they way business owners treated people back in the good old days, I agree. Dave knows his stuff and arrives when he says he will. We had a Speed Queen dryer go on the fritz - no heat. After I did some YouTube diagnosing which didn't solve the problem, I called Dave. He came out and quickly discovered the issue was a user-generated error (we shared an eyeroll over that) that created the problem. No worries, got the dryer set up correctly and replaced the fried part. Unfortunately, the replacement part was defective, so he came out the next day and fixed that no charge. Here's the deal: The part was an inexpensive piece of a much larger module. He could have said we needed to replace the entire module and tacked on way more repair cost. He didn't. 08/23/17 Dave came by today to check on our brand new Speed queen washer. It was leaking water...not much but enough to cause concern since we just purchased it last week. Apparently, the installers didn't level it properly and the hot water hose was loose. Dave was very patient and methodical in diagnosing and fixing the problem. I told him that I now had him on speed dial if we should ever require his services in the future. A very pleasant and honest repairman. He certainly was "On Target" with our appliance needs! Update 12/15/17 Unfortunately, the refrigerator began leaking again. I still believe that it's the drip pan. After notifying Dave, we decided to order a new drip pan. Due to the holidays, Dave would not be able to replace the drip pan until the New Year. So we tentatively scheduled an appointment for 1/4/18. I will report back at that time. Eric M. Progress Report: On 1/4/18, Dave arrived and replaced the old drip pan which did appear to be cracked. Both Dave and I strongly believe that this should resolve the issue of the leaking water. Dave called me on the way to my house to confirm our appointment. He cleaned the vent and made my dryer much more effecient so the clothes are warm and dry after ONE cycle! Also he cleaned behind the fridge and stopped it from circuiting OUT every time we close the door. Dave also needed to replace a part on the dryer which he had on hand which I liked so he did not have to make a second trip. I highly recommend his services. read more

Dave is a decent guy. This review is for two appliances. The first, a Speed Queen washing machine, he repaired under warranty and all is great. Five stars! About six months later I called him out on a Bosch dishwasher and he said pump was bad. A week and a half later, with new pump in hand, Dave replaces it and says it is the circuit board. I get a call a few days later and he states the circuit board is obsolete and I need to get a new dishwasher. The dishwasher is 1.5 years old... I call Bosch. The send a tech out and he fixes it under warranty. Turns out, there was a piece of glass in the pump, the rest of the dishwasher is just fine. Sorry, Dave, 1 star for that one. Our Speed Queen washer began leaking even though it wasn't even 3 yrs old. Arrow Appliance was recommended to us by Renwes in Lake Forest, so I called Arrow. Dave answered, and we made an appointment in short order. Only down side was he couldn't come to our house for a week. Fortunately, we were able to do without a wash for that period, and after Dave arrived, actually a little early, he fixed out problem quickly. Needed warranty service on my two-year-old Speed Queen dryer. Trevor came out and determined it was the timer. Ordered part and returned two days later to install. Trevor was amazing -- on time, courteous and professional. Talked to Dave, the owner, as well. Every minute from start to finish was exceptional. People beware of this creepy guy Dave we spoke on the phone to make an appointment when Dave said he would call me back cuz he was driving next thing I know at 8:45 On a sat me and my roommate hear a knock on our door where like who would b knocking this early I open the door and it's dave and some other guy I was like ya how can I help you and who are you he told me he was Dave the appliance guy I was like ok why are you here he said we made an appointment I was like no you never called me back he was like well I'm here can I look at the stove what kinda of creep does that!! No less no appointment no phone call saying hey I'm coming to your house he just showed up I told him gas company came and out stove was fine needless to say he did nothing and had the nerve to charge my management company $45.00 for no appointment no call and he did nothing he lied and said he did exactly what I told him the gas company already had done people don't use this company he was super creepy and I watched him he just took the top of my lid to the stove off he isn't an honest repair guy I don't know how he stays in business a professional person would make an appointment and never show up at 2 woman's house at 8:45 am in a Saturday unannounced!!!!!! read more

They saved our wonderful old green kitchen range ! Everyone else I called said...out of luck..too old... no parts... go buy a new one. So we went out and found "not as good" beautiful ranges for thousands more than we paid for our old green one. Sadness. Reluctance to buy and replacement that wasn't as good and cost a ton more. Then one day, one of my search phone calls said "call Dave (Arrow) so I did and Trevor showed up this morning. One star is too much. I would not hire this person he sounds nice, but he is a total shyster. He came out to look at my dryer, I never got a clear explanation of the problem(s). while he was there I said can you give me an estimate on my dishwasher (Fisher Pacal) and replacing an ice make he said ok. when it came time to pay his service fee he charged me $130, which he said it was for looking at the dishwasher. 1st he never told me up front hey is you want me to look at the dishwasher i charge and extra $65. He not only charged me, but I never got an assessment of what was wrong with the dishwasher. when I did question him on what he said was possibly wrong with the dryer. he said was a very expensive computer board on something that happened 3 years ago, which as a small fire in the dryer near the flume at the bottom of dryer. I was standing there when the small fire happened so it was really lasted like 30 seconds. the computer board is on top of dryer no where near the flume which had a small burn patch the size of a baseball. He was basically telling me that the fire 3 years ago that was no where near the computer board was the reason for replacing it. So i had a good reason to question his assessment. I guess because I questioned him on his assessment he backed out of the service his words " I think that I am having trouble justinfying this repair. I am going to return to you your money". So I waited over a week and I never got my money back. when i emailed him about it he said he sent it. when i got it is was only for $65 and not the total $130. He basically did not give me a clear assessment of the problem(s) and then by backing out of doing the job he stole the other $65, by not allowing me to put the $65 towards the repair. read more
