We met the hair and makeup artists on the grounds from 9AM and as a large group of 12: we reserved the gorgeous Almendra Family Suite (it slept 6) to get dolled up. It was the perfect space for us to spread out safely! I sipped champagne, swung on hammocks, and got ready with my girlfriends while we waited for guests to arrive from the shuttles. Walking the rocky paths of this epic horse ranch/colonial mansion in heels, littered with fallen mangos and avocados, with my cathedral veil and gown's train in 100 degrees did not phase me because my heart was going to explode. We danced all night long, ate incredible food. It truly wowed all our friends and families, made absolutely stunning photos. We are approaching our anniversary in one month. Friends tell me, to this day, that our's was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. I can't be humble about it. It honestly was like a Fellini movie! After the wedding ended at 11 PM, a ton of people piled into shuttles to go back to San Juan. Those of us who rented rooms at the venue to relax, got together and lounged by the pool! I loved that a few rooms were a part of wedding contract, so that encouraged some more buddies to rent rooms. The next morning, we were all met with a beautiful breakfast- not unlike the colorful flowers everywhere on the property. We hope to come back to stay as guests very soon!!!
