Everyone and all food was absolutely great! We had Pablo as our guide who was so fun and friendly. He gave us the whole run down on everything and every place. He has a true talent for what he does. The group was small, there was about 6 of us. I believe groups don't get too large, maybe around 10 people. Which is nice because no one gets lost or unheard. I highly recommend this tour!

You'd get a text message reminder a day before the tour and they would ask if you have food restrictions or allergies. You'd also get a reminder where the meeting spot is. We met at Banco Popular, introduced ourselves and went our merry way to the 5 different food spots. Pablo ordered the food before hand so that when the group arrived at the different restaurants/places, the food was ready and we did not have to wait that long. Our first stop was Cafe Cuatro Sombras where we had coffee and croissant ham/provolone cheese/guava butter. I liked this croissant with a hint of tanginess/sweetness from the guava. Noncoffee drinkers had options of lemonade and tea. Second stop was Señor Paleta. There's no indoor seating here so we had the delicious parcha (passion fruit) popsicle. Yum! Very refreshing, great for this warm weather! Third stop was Cafe El Punto. This place has a lot of artwork by local artists. We had ceviche de pescado and alcapurrias de la casa which were nice. Fourth stop was El Patio de Sam where we "made" our own mofongo. We had fried plantains and garlic butter, mashed them in a mortar and pestle, and added the chicken before turning the mortar upside down to get the mofongo. This was flavorful and had more moisture compared to another mofongo we had. Last stop for dessert was Vaca Brava. We had flan which was nice. We enjoyed the food, the tour, and the conversations. Great experience here.

We used Island Edge Culinary services twice while visiting St Thomas in July of '22…read moreSeveral platters we ordered upon arrival were spot on for our group of 8! We had 2 quesadilla platters and a platter of the flank steak sliders. Both selections were DEElicious! Quesadilla platters came with a couple of dipping sauces, admittedly I don't recall what they were (probably because of the 4 pitchers of rum punch we had delivered as well!) But they were equally excellent! Sliced flank steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the buns soft&fresh. Having their platter service upon arrival was an ideal choice after traveling 8 hours! Took the stress out of searching for a restaurant or going to the market after an exhausting day of travel! A couple days later we had the privilege of Chef Colin coming to our villa to prepare a 4 course dinner for us. Other than a couple suggestions from us, we pretty much left the menu selection up to him. And once again, spot on DEElicious! Ceviche, lobster bisque, and a local fresh fish entree! Finished off with a vanilla bean cheesecake with a tropical fruit glaze had us licking our plates! All served most graciously and attentively by the lovely Sarah. Such a sweetheart! Colin was most professional, yet had a very hip&cool vibe. They chatted with us throughout our whole meal, which we loved! Additionally Colin&Sarah gave us several island tips which we found MOST helpful! Thank you! Island Edge Culinary has an extensive menu of food&drink options and are extremely flexible, so there's something for everyone! We highly recommend their services and would not hesitate to call upon them next visit! Which is already in the works. I just hope they provide services to the Red Hook area! ps~ communication with them prior to our arrival was excellent! Our questions and concerns (which were many) were addressed promptly, often within the same day! So glad they're not on "island time"!!

Chef Colin of Island Edge Culinary prepared a fantastic meal for us. He made shrimp tacos, carne asada, pork carnitas with great sides and ceviche as an appetizer. They have beautiful art and crafts from local artisans - from jewelry to paintings to photographs to ceramic and more. Everything is so unique and special; nothing mass produced. There were several pieces I wanted to buy, but I settled on a small painting and a large framed photo. The only problem is the photo in the frame was too big to take on the plane back home. The store could not take the photograph out of the professional framing, but they took my information and reached out to the artist to see if she could bring in a copy of the photograph without a frame. They called me back a couple of weeks later, the artist had brought in the photo and they were happy to ship to me. I have never had such wonderful service from a store where they went out of their way to make a customer happy. 10/10 definitely would recommend for unique finds, great customer service, and to support local artists.
