This time, I set up four personal training sessions with Tom at this studio (conveniently located right on downtown Apex's main drag) to try to mitigate the damage my lack of self-control inflicts on my waistline. And I'm glad I did. Each workout was unique and varied enough to work out my whole body. Every day Tom changed it up, and after the workouts, I'd feel a little sore (but in a good way). The best part is that he showed me different circuits I could do in the gym, as well as some routines that I can do at home with light weights or none. Plus, the sessions were about half the price of anywhere else--a total deal! I'll definitely be scheduling time with Tom every time I visit so I can indulge in Southern food guilt-free.

The owner, Daniel, was professional and helpful. I worked out with the community 4x. This included one 5:30pm, 2 5:30am and one partner WOD. It was a great way to stay on track. The gym is spacious, the equipment organized and clean. The coaches were excellent. There is a shower with towels as well towels for the million burpees we did that week!!!! You know that nervous feeling you get during the partner work out? Not a problem here! My partner was accommodating and supportive of the "Old Man". I did feel like this was a more advanced class, as the teacher would ask the class to do different movements that I didn't know, but I was able to follow others and get through it. Others either wore grippy socks or were barefoot.
