I had some specific concerns I wanted to address and/or rule out and felt that very little effort was put forth to diagnose vague symptoms that I thought may be cardiac related. A medicine was prescribed that I was not tolerating and Dr. Shenkman did not suggest an alternative. She seemed a bit condescending in one of my appointments. When some follow up questions were addressed via the patient portal, an additional charge was incurred which was a bit disappointing but I accepted it. The final turnoff was the fact that my insurance changed and they weren't contracted with my insurance provider so they bluntly disabled my portal login and told me I could do cash pay only without insurance. I was still a patient though, irrespective of insurance or not. Very rude way to treat an established patient I thought. If you have heart disease, stents etc. Dr Shenkman might be a perfect match but for those of us that have other cardiac concerns, arrhythmias, Dysautonomia/POTS, Long COVID etc this not the right place to go. No referral was suggested either. No thank you. I won't be returning.
