Diana, the Office Manager, is the first impression...and I'm impressed. Totally pro, confident, knows her job to a tee. She takes your first call, calls to remind, and handles matters with privacy and first class once you arrive for your appointment. She even does some of the clinical work. Really smart lady. If that was all, I would say so. But, it only starts there. Dr. Azizi is...takes care and concern to a whole new level. Dr. Azizi is...warm, nice, and has an incredible 'bedside' manner. Dr. Azizi is...patient and kind. Dr. Azizi is...knowledgeable with everything, using layman's terms to the novice. Dr. Azizi is...super in every way. Dr. Azizi was terrific. unfortunately for us, he retired and whoever took over his practice has no sense or urgency for patients that are in distress. Very sad...but glad that Dr. Azizi finally retired. Very best wishes for him !! read more

Dr Azizi is a cardiologist. He is a straight shooter and tells you the way it is. If you want coddled go some place else.

I am writing a review on behalf of my mom, who had a terrible experience with Dr. Azizi. I do not normally like to give negative reviews, but am doing so in hopes it helps someone else avoid a negative experience with someone as important as a cardiologist. You don't mess with your heart, after all. My mom went to Dr Azizi and at the first appointment, he seemed knowledgeable. He put her on a new medication, and a few days after she started taking it she had a major issue. She called the office to get advice on how to adjust the meds... and crickets. She followed up with an email. Crickets. She thought maybe this was a one time experience, but when it happened again, she again got no response. A CARDIOLOGIST. These aren't times when we can freely go to the hospital or any medical center if it isn't a life threatening emergency (hospitals are so bogged with Covid), so his lack of response is more shocking and terrifying. Then she had her follow up appointment. As others have noted, he was downright obnoxious, rude, and lacked even the slightest bit of empathy. I was appalled by how patronizing and unprofessional he acted towards her. He essentially yelled at her, disregarded her, and said some very offensive comments. She came back so shocked by the experience. We gave this doctor a few chances to do the minimum, and he basically showed he has no regard for his patient by not showing up/ responding, and treating his patient in a rude and condescending way. I am writing on behalf of my fiancé who has been a patient of Dr. Azizi for the past 3 years. He recently had an "afib" episode and went to the emergency room. We called Dr azzizi to let him know. When we arrived the ER doctor said he had already been updated by Dr Azizi. His heart was jolted back into a normal heartbeat and we left one hour later. Since then Dr Azizi has followed up with us on a regular basis. Dr. Azizi's compassion and empathy Has far surpassed any doctor that we have ever been too!! read more

This dr. Azizi is the most unprofessional misogynistic person I have ever had contact with. He has no humanity. I had never met him until the day I needed to go to his office with my husband. We were very nervous about my husbands condition but this man with his hour rants on every subject but what we were there for slandered three other dr.s in the community and personally insulted me by his option that any woman who has a hysterectomy is by no means still a woman. And went on & on on this subject not knowing that the person across the desk had a hysterectomy. When I told him this he had no apology and continued with his crazy ranting on off topic information. I'm surprised by some of these negative reviews. I went into the hospital last Monday in total distress. I had already been to three different heart doctors and had been in and out of the Simi Valley hospital three times. I finally drove over to Los Robles Hospital and Dr. Azizi was the doctor assigned to my case. I think it was the best thing to happen for me in a long time. None of these other doctors were doing anything for me except for assigning medication and not addressing my AFIB Problem. Within 24 hours doctor is Easy had me on a steady course to recovery. There were some things that happened in the hospital that interfered with the progress but I had nothing to do with his decisions. I'm grateful for his input and his medication choices. I think I'm really lucky To have found this doctor. Although he doesn't take my insurance I'm going to have to work out other arrangements. This is too important of a decision for me to waste time with doctors that are playing games. I am truly grateful to have met Dr. Azizi. I think my quality of life is going to come back over the next few months. And it's already getting better. read more

I actually saw Dr. Azizi twice hoping that the first visit was not typical behavior for Dr.. Azizi. The second visit his behavior was even worse. I will not be going back. He couldn't remember what medicines he put me and never asked. He was demeaning when I had gained 3 lbs which was surprising since the visit before he said the medicine will probably cause a 3-5 lb weight gain. He has no professional boundaries and speaks about other patients in detail while performing his exam. He was continually offensive in his comments about women. When I spoke up he dismissed me with another comment about women are too emotional. In short, to quote another yelp reviewer who said it perfectly, "Diana the office manager is excellent - friendly, courteous and entirely professional. The doctor, however, was extremely arrogant, patronizing, unprofessional and downright rude." Looking at the yelp reviews it makes me wonder what happened in 2018. In 2017 Dr. Azizi had good reviews since then his reviews are horrible and reflect my experience perfectly. read more

Going to a cardiologist can be stressful but not if your Doctor is Dr. Frey Azizi. I can not recommend him more highly. My husband had developed a heart flutter and were referred to Dr. Azizi. He spend so much time explaining the situation and the various treatments. He was cautious, thoughtful and thorough. His office staff reflects this same degree of care. My husband has complete confidence in Dr. Azizi which i firmly believe is essential in treatment. I am grateful for the care my husband received. Thank you Dr. Azizi! read more

I was referred to Dr. Azizi who is a cardiologist here in Thousand Oaks. I have seen Dr. Azizi four times since I first met him. He is an extremely intelligent doctor. Not only does he know his practice, but he also knows how to communicate his findings tailored with reasonable, rational solutions for living a much healthier lifestyle. And the best news of all, he is never in a hurry to see the next patient. So give him grace when you are sitting in the waiting room. He takes his time to answer your questions and concerns. His examinations are thorough and he has a great bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Azizi to anyone looking for a cardiologist. He is worth your time and you are worth his attention. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. At my 4 month checkup, he couldn't be bothered to show up. I made another appointment for which he also did not show up too. I asked Diana, his receptionist to have him call me so that we could follow up on my recent lipid panel. He left me a message stating that I was in trouble, trouble, trouble! I need to start a statin right away and start taking high doses of fish oil! He had no knowledge that we had ever met and that I had been on a statin that he prescribed for me four months! I was so upset that I called Diana the next morning and explained that I don't think he understands that I have been on a statin for the past four months and I did not fast at my blood test, per my general practitioner. I asked that he call me back to discuss. Never called. This is serious stuff! Obviously, the "doctor" could care less and could not be bothered! read more
