Got diagnosed for a very mild case of AFib. no blodd thinners , just a baby aspirin . asked to repeat tests but said no. said it's positive just like when one is told either your pregnant or not. he then convinced me to do an angioplasty procedure where everything was fine. he then had me visit with his partner Dr Salazar. this doctor did everything possible to to convince me to get an ablation surger. I told him I'm getting a second opinion. regardless of that his scheduler called twice to try and creates an urgency to get me in for the ablation. I hung up on the second call. bottom line- I went to UCLA and they repeated all the tests after discovering the Dr Lakanis office refused to send all my test results etc.. after completing all tests at UCLA it was positively that I don't have AFib. being i have no recourse legally , I'm writing this terrible review. I wouldn't trust this doctor or his partner ( the electrician) to touch me. major conn artist in my view. be careful with these doctors and get a second opinion before allowing him to do anything. read more

Dr. Lakhani treated my Mom when she was in the hospital and we really liked the way he handled things. Now my husband had to see a cardiologist and with the recommendation of Dr. Flora he went to see Dr. Lakhani. He did a great job and we felt very comfortable talking with him. He is a no bull kind of guy and we appreciate that. The front desk is a bit tough but other than that all good. read more

To start, Dr. Lakhani was very knowledgeable and pleasant when I had my appointment with him. However today, I had the most unpleasant and unhelpful conversation with the front desk woman. I needed cardiac clearance for a surgery coming up and I requested clearance a week ago. I call one week later only for her to tell me I didn't have clearance and there was nothing she could help me with. How would I have known that I didn't have clearance if I was never notified?? She was so rude and unpleasant, I ended the phone call in tears. I myself am a CSR and would NEVER speak to a client/patient the way I was spoken to. My first time going here and so glad I did. Every one was so friendly and nice. This Dr Knows what he is doing. He does most of the test in his office on your first visit. He tells you the truth about your test. I had to be hospitalized and he was wonderful during my procedure. Best cardiol Cardiologist I have ever had. read more

My father just got out of the hospital for a heart emergency, and was informed his records would be sent to Dr. Lakhani's office. This review is for Olivia, the woman who answered the phone and was an absolute grinch. My father called for a simple question for the doctor and instead of taking a message for the doctor she continued to play a game and go back and forth arguing with my father. She is monstrous and incredibly rude. Her unprofessionalism in this field is ridiculous and I've never experienced anything like it. My father was on the phone with her and I overheard her voice over the phone all the way from my kitchen...on the the first floor!! I'm so disgusted by this woman's nasty behavior for being so provocative and insensitive. I don't know how she still has a job because she is so very undeserving of it. I suggest this office hires a new receptionist who has manners and doesn't act like an uncivilized ape. I suggest everyone who even considers stepping foot into this office to reconsider and go elsewhere lest you be treated like dirt. read more

I give Dr Lakhani a higher score than 2 stars, but he has the worst, most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. When my primary Dr. told me to ask Dr Lakhani for a surgical clearance, I thought it was to be a note. But when I called Dr. Lakhani's office, his staff told me they could not see me until after my surgery date (so no surgery.) I wish someone would have explained what was involved, instead of yelling at me, accusing me of trying to manipulate them, etc. Both women in there were horrid and rude. The surgeon's assistant called there, and they said they might get a cancellation, but no longer wanted me as a patient. This after I changed my appointments to suit them in the past. They care so little that they would leave a heart patient with no care prior to a surgery. As a Business Consultant and Tax Accountant, I find this incredibly sad. Almost like they do this to "thin the herd." I really like Dr. Lakhani, but his staff is the worst, and they will not put calls through to him. The email address says "Staff" , so guess who gets the email?? He must know this and approve, so God bless him. Waiting now for advice re: filing a complaint with the governing board for physicians. Dr. Lakhani was supposed to be the consulting cardiologist the day my husband was brought in by paramedics having a heart attack last week. My husband has had 3 open heart surgeries, many stents in place, and a pacemaker installed. With this medical history, one would think a cardiologist would pay attention. DR. LAKHANI NEVER SHOWED UP OR CONTACTED US, despite all the hospital staff, including the hospitalist at Simi Valley Hospital assuring us he would. It is obvious to us that he didn't care. read more

Well no one really wants to have a heart attack or look up into a new doctor's face and be told that multiple arteries are blocked at the 80 to 100% range. Dr. Lakhani was clear and caring and able to explain in a fashion that took the Fog of medical jargon out of the picture. I have seen him since and have found his staff to be friendly and responsive as any office in the field can be. As for the Dr.Lakhani, he is insightful and has on more than one occasion taken the time to sit and talk. What a rarity in this age. I have no problem recommending him to anyone. read more

Unless you want a heart attack stay away from this cardiologist office! On my last appointment the doctor said I needed some important lab tests so I got them done. However the doctor never called me to review them and I have been worried about the results ever since. I anticipated going over this with him on my next appointment which was 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately they were running very late and after attempting to reschedule with the receptionist I just left. Several days later when I called to try and make a new appointment I was advised by the same receptionist that I was being dismissed as a patient. I think I must of hurt the receptionist's feelings. Are you kidding me? Leave a doctors office when they are late and you get kicked out! My primary care doctor found me a new cardiologist just one block away. I brought my mother here... The first to see Dr Lokhani, the office is clean and pleasant... The receptionist was unfriendly and distant. Dr Lokhani was great. We liked him a lot. My mom is elderly and nervous about seeing new Dr. but Medicare changed and gave her no choice, and our former Dr moved out of the country.
