GGRC recommended At Home Support Service as a vendor tp provide personal assistance service. Our experience with this company was outstanding. Maybelle R., the coordinator, ensured the entire process was smooth and stress-free, handling all logistics and maintaining consistent communication to confirm that everything was going well. We have a family member who was assigned as a personal assistant and everything was just perfect. The hiring process was smooth, and fast. Maybelle has good communication system, always asking if everything is doing fine for my daughter. Because of the professionalism, compassion, and quality of service we received, I highly recommend this company and will certainly be using their services again in the future.

Our process of obtaining a caregiver was simple and the arrangement works for all of us. We are being overseen in the office by Ms. Maybelle R. And she is very polite, respectful and dependable! When any incidents mostly timing or last minute changes happen Ms. Maybelle is understanding to our family and the caregiver's needs. Easy & adaptable and extra time is always reminded but never pressured. My daughter's caregiver is a difference maker in our lives especially that my children have special needs. Because of this company, I give them a 10/10! They do work with GGRC.

Brent is one of the most patient people you will ever meet. He can help you find a place quickly…read moreif needed. However, he also stresses being prepared. He understands that moving to a senior facility is a major change. He will arrange for you to see multiple facilities within your price range, including discussing possible programs to help with costs. He works to find the best facility for the individual, showing real care that they will be happy with their choice. My aunt's friend just turned 90. He has multiple health concerns that have made it exceedingly dangerous for him to live alone in his home. He is also a very difficult person so the option of having a caretaker live with him does not seem reasonable. We looked at some options a few years ago, but he wasn't ready to make the move yet. Now his family agreed it's time. Brent, who worked with us previously, was happy to arrange tours of multiple facilties. He makes sure all of your questions are answered and that you have a full understanding of the services offered. He also recommends services to help with the move, clearing out your house, etc. He knows the resources that work best with seniors and persons with disabilities to lessen stress and provide support while getting the work done. Whether you are looking for now or planning for the future, Brent is the best person to work with so you can learn the options for senior and assisted living.

But at the last minute, my friend recommended Brent Hensley. He was a life saver! We had very little time and within hours he arranged visits to three facilities in San Francisco that would match our mother's personality and needs. He held a zoom meeting with my siblings and me to guide us in our decision making. He intervened when we needed help in convincing my mother to move. His knowledge and experience were invaluable in helping us to make very tough and agonizing decisions. Nobody wants to leave their home. And we felt so stressed asking our mom to do something she didn't want to do (but we knew it was not safe to have her stay at home). Three months later, just as Brent said, our initially resistant mother is happy and thriving at her new home. My siblings and I are relieved and happy. Amazingly, Brent's services are free for clients like us. We did not feel steered toward a one size fits all recommendation. Brent was sensitive and nuanced in his ability to find a great fit for our mom. His services are highly recommended.

He asked me to provide thorough background about my sister and her health as well as questions regarding the type of placement we were looking for. Michael helped narrow our search down to 4 places. He did extensive research into the backgrounds of the communities and ranked them according to any violations that were reported to the state and the outcomes regarding the violations. The analyses were very thorough, including assessment of breadth and quality of services provided (including food service). I had a very good idea about each place we visited. He also sent over a list of questions to consider when interviewing the different placements. Even though Michael covers the greater East Bay area, residing and working in the Oakland area, he met me in Elk Grove (near Sacramento) and accompanied us on each tour. I have worked with location services before. Also, my husband takes care of his sister and at various times, we have enlisted help with such services - however, we've never received such in-depth help. I also worked with someone when I first moved my sister, which resulted in her move to an independent community. I have never worked with anyone as thorough and research oriented as Michael. We were so happy to find him and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of such assistance.

We ended up leaving after 2 months of our baby being born and went to another truly concierge-style pediatrician. The issues we had here was that 90% of our encounters were with a Nurse Practioner. Maybe I just got unlucky and never had an md available. The final straw was probably when my baby had his 2 month vaccine, ran a fever the same night, and the NP picked up the after hours call. She made us really nervous that something was extremely wrong even though it was just the vaccine. I mean after hours is for emergency. What if it was something worse- couldn't a doctor at least be on call? They also bill you for everything. I mean everything. Just sending an email with a photo of my baby's red bump, and then they ask to jump on a call for a few minutes just to tell me it's baby acne and then they bill $300-$400. Why not just respond via email. The same thing with asking basic questions like he's spitting up, constipated. Need to jump on a call and then get billed $300-$400. Money is not an issue for us but overtime it just seemed so ridiculous and prevented me from even wanting to email or call in. They also seem to love probiotics here. My baby had dry skin and the nurse told us to use probiotics to resolve it? He's spitting up, she told us to use probiotics. He's constipated. The solution was to use probiotics. My baby also developed a flat head. They sent us to physical therapy and to get advised for a helmet right away. At my new practice, the MD wanted to take a look at him first and then sent a referral to UCSF to get consultation with their cranio team. Anyway. I just felt like it's really cookie cutter here. Didn't feel like they cared about my baby at all. It's more like they provide good service. Yes someone will always respond to your email right away and answer your call. But just expect an NP or to be billed for every conversation you have with them.
