I use Aronson's almost exclusively for my clients, my family and myself. They have a deep inventory of both custom and broadloom options, but what you're really getting here is service. This is an amazing team of people who does their absolute best to meet their clients' needs - and almost all of them have been at the company for years. read more

$ 2800 to install 27 square feet of floor covering ? And 4 days and 3 calls to get that estimate . I guess I would be reluctant or embarrassed to give out that estimate as well . read more

Aronson's Floor covering is a rare NYC gem a long standing family based business. My interior designer friends rave about their beautiful selection of floor coverings and their incredible customer service. I agree with all of the above and then some! I recently had my favorite area rug repaired here. Not only did they give me great advice they went above and beyond when I asked them if they could store it for awhile as I had just gotten a puppy when the rug was to be delivered. No problem they said and did just that keeping it until my dog was housebroken, it was incredible. The repair was perfect and now my apartment has the rug and a house trained cutie! I personally owned a retail store in NYC and recognize the importance of great customer service and a beautiful selection of merchandise. I will go back to Aronson's soon as I want to replace my kitchen flooring and for any of my floor covering needs..Run don't walk there should you want the best NYC has to offer!! It is a pleasure to work with Aronson's Floor Covering. As a family enterprise, it is committed to client service and care. For those who are professionals in the industry their staff is knowledgeable in 'everything flooring', and have the training to help architects and designers make real their designs. I have worked with Aronson's Flooring in many capacities, and am especially proud of their execution of custom carpeting for a building lobby and corridor project. ES, LLC read more

My interior designer recommended Aronson's after getting very high prices at the D&D building. They had an amazing selection and the sales team was knowledgeable and helpful. Their installation men were pros and got the job done quickly and cleaned up after! I loved working with them. read more

I love this place! Great pricing and very friendly staff! My favorite employee was Sean Mc and I believe at one time he was Employee of the Month. Anyways, dont bother shopping around, Aronsons is the only place to go! read more

I am a huge fan of Aronson's, have been working with them for more than ten years. The selection is fantastic, the sales assistance is outstanding. My experience with Aronson's has been seamless from selection to delivery to installation. I am an architect and have used them for a variety of projects. I am a fan of the fact that it is a family owned business. Carol Swedlow is the president. She is a licensed architect which is added value--she is creative and understands the ins and outs of the building process. She and her team know "what's what" in the floor covering world. They are personable, responsive and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend Aronson's. read more

The staff is amazing and professional. They have a great selection to choose from and the sales people really take the time to ask what you are looking for and help you find something that really works. I am really indecisive and had been in and out of home depot trying to decide what to do with my apartment and they worked with me for several hours discussing the durability I woudl need as well as what it woudl look like and we found the flooring that worked best for me and I absolutely love it. If you are a new home owner or just want old fashioned customer service definately check this place out. read more

Worked with the Aronson's team on a small high end commercial project in midtown. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, the team is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. They had a great selection, dealt with some complex issues and tight deadlines. I highly, highly recommend them. read more

As a local resident I asked about sheet vinyl for my apt. and was told the pattern I was looking for didn't exist although it appears to be available elsewhere and online. I was advised they work primarily commercial even though I am aware of a residence they installed kitchen and bathroom flooring. My impression is if you come across high end, use a contractor or designer they will work with you and offer the service others appear to have complimented. read more

I have been an avid Yelper for years and until now have never left a bad review. My tagline is "Yelping what I like." But my experience with Aronson's was so negative that I'd like to spare others. My husband and I went in Aronson's to purchase cork flooring to replaced the carpeting (laid by Aronson's) in our bedroom after hurricane Sandy. Aronson's gave us an estimate, charged a $300 nonrefundable measuring fee (strange since they previously worked in the same room) and then after the measuring, quoted us a higher price. In addition, they mistakenly suggested we use a type cork which would work in our setting. Like the other reviewer, they would not break down the estimate and reveal what they were charging for materials vs. labor. We decided not to go with Aronson's and found at least two places charging approximately half the price for similar product -- with no charge for measuring or moving furniture (which would have raised the cost even further had we gone with Aronson's). Glitzy showroom, but beware! read more

Service was great when I was in Aronson's but upon receiving the estimate for flooring I was shocked by the estimate - which was not broken down by square footage, labor, etc... just a lump sum. When I called to ask for an explanation of the extremely high estimate, they were unable or unwilling to break it down for me. I was able to find exactly the same material and the cost and labor was LESS then half of what Aronson's gave us. I don't mind if a company charges a slight premium but Aronson's did nothing less then price gouge at a shocking extreme. I would look elsewhere before accepting their estimate. read more

I recently went to Aronson's Floorcovering in search of new flooring for my living room. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but knew that my existing flooring needed to be replaced. As I entered the beautiful showroom, I was greeted by a friendly salesperson. He asked me a few questions to help him figure out what product would be best for my room. I told him the color scheme and then we sat down in the showroom; he offered me some water and then brought over a variety of samples. He suggested the natural products might be the best suited for this room. I didn't understand what he meant by natural products. He then explained each product (sisal/seagrass) in depth and was very knowledgeable of each as well as the maintenance of the item. I was impressed. He told me if I wanted to know more, Aronson's had natural fiber seminars that I could attend and learn more. I'll have to look at that another time. He had me sold - I thought what a perfect product. And totally not what I expected to purchase. He assisted me in picking out a color and matching binding for the rug. I gave him a deposit for them to come and measure to ensure it would fit my room. Now I wait for the delivery. I am so excited for my new rug. I had a great experience at Aronson's and highly suggest them for anyone looking for flooring. Their sales staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable of their products. I would highly go back for my next flooring. There aren't enough stores like Aronson's anymore, they took the time to listen to me and my needs and gave great advice. read more

came here for a carpet and the customer service was horrible. not only were they rude and unwilling to help, but when they didn't have what we wanted, sent is to WEST ELM for a carpet. this was not what we wanted and we were very clear about that. their ability to understand direction correctly is obviously needing some work. also, carpet selection isn't great either. read more
