But then I met Susan Tierney and everything changed... she spent a considerable amount of time walking me through PID's offerings and their process, and I just knew I was in the best possible hands. We tried a ton of different samples - all were sent to my home so I could see what they would look like in my space/natural light - and Susan was determined to find the perfect floor for my apartment. UPDATE: PID did give me a full refund for my second purchase of the boards and let me keep them to use whatever ones were usable. Original Post: I would put 0 stars if i could! This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life! I hired a contractor who recommended a product from this company. Within a couple weeks of the floor being installed in Nov 2017, the boards started to crack! The flooring store blamed the contractor and the contractor blamed the flooring company! To finally get this resolved (as this was going on for 8 months), I agreed to re-purchase the materials (60 boards cracked!) and he would install. So I paid yet again for the materials and they were delivered with cracks and warped within weeks of being delivered! A representative from the company came to look at the boards, took readings which were all over the place (1 board measured 3% moisture and the board next to it measured 11%) which made no sense, and took some samples. He had said he would get back to me that day or the next. I did not hear from him and left voice messages and sent emails almost daily for over 2 weeks pleading for at least a response!!!! He did not even have the courtesy to respond to me at all!!! The most frustrating and poor customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! When he finally did respond after 15 days, he said "I think you can install". And "you should get a dehumidifier and a humidifier to maintain your floors". REALLY?????? read more

Found PID from a referral from our contractor - what a great store, incredible selection of modern and timeless floors - we chose to go with River Edge at first, but due to a delay with COVID, the team easily transitioned us to Hope at a discount to account for the mishaps. We had them installed in our new apt on the UES and are just so happy with the way they came out. I initially did the measuring for how much we needed and we ordered almost 200 sf too much, the PID team was gracious enough to allow us to bring them back to receive a refund for the unused still wrapped portions. Great showroom and selection. Some of their flooring is white labelled i.e. renamed common brands which you can get heavily discounted elsewhere. e.g. their product "Liverpool" which is a name unique to PID Flooring and sells for $10/sq is actually "Kensington" brand from a company called Baltic Wood which you can purchase for $4-5/sq from many distributors in NY/NJ. Ultimately you are paying Manhattan Show Room prices when a few minutes on google or other store rooms in the City you can save 50% including delivery. Sales Support 5 stars. This was our third stop after visiting both State of the Art and LV Wood with my client today. Needless to say we will not be purchasing from here. I purchased floors from PID because I fell in love with a floor that they carried that I couldn't find anywhere else. They were more than I wanted to spend but since I loved them I got them. There was a slight glitch when they were delivered (which I think was partially my fault). When I called PID and spoke to Charles (my salesperson) he could not have been more concerned or attentive. The next day he and someone from the office came to inspect the floors, and their only concern was making me happy. We came to an easy resolution and I was very impressed with how concerned they were with my satisfaction, even though the glitch was probably as much my fault as theirs.
