Beautiful floors. Wonderful help. Ask for Lawrence Skutelsky! He listens to your needs and is Extremely helpful!

I renovate high-end New York co-ops and condos professionally and have found PID to be among the most welcoming and helpful showrooms in town. They are a family-owned business and still offer the personal care and attention that is being lost in this day and age of consolidation and corporate conglomerations. Anytime you visit the showroom, most likely one of the owners will be there to help. PID has an excellent selection of stylish, high-quality flooring, and they provide samples within a day, which is a blessing for designers working on a tight schedule. Definitely one of the best suppliers to work with. Highly recommended! read more

Professionally handled and sales people! Friendly and great teamwork

I was gearing up for a home renovation and my contractor suggested I visit PID for a new wood floor... the renovation process was very new to me and I nearly fainted when I saw all the options, it was so daunting! But then I met Susan Tierney and everything changed... she spent a considerable amount of time walking me through PID's offerings and their process, and I just knew I was in the best possible hands. We tried a ton of different samples - all were sent to my home so I could see what they would look like in my space/natural light - and Susan was determined to find the perfect floor for my apartment. I needed a lot of handholding and Susan could not have been more patient with me... and she did it - she found my perfect floor and it completely transformed my apartment, surpassing every hope, dream, and expectation I had for this project. I cannot recommend Susan and PID enough - don't even consider looking anywhere else, nothing will ever compare to PID's product or their staff's expertise! read more

UPDATE: PID did give me a full refund for my second purchase of the boards and let me keep them to use whatever ones were usable. Original Post: I would put 0 stars if i could! This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life! I hired a contractor who recommended a product from this company. Within a couple weeks of the floor being installed in Nov 2017, the boards started to crack! The flooring store blamed the contractor and the contractor blamed the flooring company! To finally get this resolved (as this was going on for 8 months), I agreed to re-purchase the materials (60 boards cracked!) and he would install. So I paid yet again for the materials and they were delivered with cracks and warped within weeks of being delivered! A representative from the company came to look at the boards, took readings which were all over the place (1 board measured 3% moisture and the board next to it measured 11%) which made no sense, and took some samples. He had said he would get back to me that day or the next. I did not hear from him and left voice messages and sent emails almost daily for over 2 weeks pleading for at least a response!!!! He did not even have the courtesy to respond to me at all!!! The most frustrating and poor customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! When he finally did respond after 15 days, he said "I think you can install". And "you should get a dehumidifier and a humidifier to maintain your floors". REALLY?????? read more

Wide selection of wood and finish. Beside the materials, I find the team very helpful. Always help me finding what I am looking for. The store is also very well organized. Wouldn't hurt to stop by and look at their collections! read more

Found PID from a referral from our contractor - what a great store, incredible selection of modern and timeless floors - we chose to go with River Edge at first, but due to a delay with COVID, the team easily transitioned us to Hope at a discount to account for the mishaps. We had them installed in our new apt on the UES and are just so happy with the way they came out. I initially did the measuring for how much we needed and we ordered almost 200 sf too much, the PID team was gracious enough to allow us to bring them back to receive a refund for the unused still wrapped portions. Steve, you guys made everything right and we cant wait to use you guys on the next project we have. read more

PID floors has one of the best selections of wood floors I have seen in NYC. Customer service was great! The salesman was so helpful and knowledgeable during the visit. Amazing and easy to navigate showroom! Highly recommended. read more

Great showroom and selection. Some of their flooring is white labelled i.e. renamed common brands which you can get heavily discounted elsewhere. e.g. their product "Liverpool" which is a name unique to PID Flooring and sells for $10/sq is actually "Kensington" brand from a company called Baltic Wood which you can purchase for $4-5/sq from many distributors in NY/NJ. Ultimately you are paying Manhattan Show Room prices when a few minutes on google or other store rooms in the City you can save 50% including delivery. Sales Support 5 stars. Value for money 3 stars. read more

Excellent people they really cared about my project! I had a great experience. Very knowledgeable and detailed. I've had the best experience with this flooring company. Not only do they have the best selection of hardwood floors in their showroom, but they are super attentive. Pasquale has educated me on all the aspects of picking the floor I want and things to consider. He also was more than helpful in getting me samples of colors that were not in the showroom. I highly recommend this company. They are a pleasure to work with and highly professional. read more

This was our third stop after visiting both State of the Art and LV Wood with my client today. Needless to say we will not be purchasing from here. I guess my client and I didn't look like money to them. The customer service was lack luster. This may explain why in my 10 years of designing in NYC I've never even heard of them. The man that helped us started by insinuating that we didn't know what we were looking for when that was in fact quite the opposite. And then proceeded to mansplain how flooring works to me. I just smiled and kept nodding as to not be rude. read more

I purchased floors from PID because I fell in love with a floor that they carried that I couldn't find anywhere else. They were more than I wanted to spend but since I loved them I got them. There was a slight glitch when they were delivered (which I think was partially my fault). When I called PID and spoke to Charles (my salesperson) he could not have been more concerned or attentive. The next day he and someone from the office came to inspect the floors, and their only concern was making me happy. We came to an easy resolution and I was very impressed with how concerned they were with my satisfaction, even though the glitch was probably as much my fault as theirs. I would highly recommend them, both for the quality of their floors, the salesperson and their desire to resolve all "problems" to everyones satisfaction. read more

Thank you, PID floors! You made an overwhelming process and big purchase a pleasant and satisfying experience. read more
