When I called they only had an appointment a month after which I had no problem waiting for, what I do have an issue with is that only when I arrived a month after scheduling my appointment they notified me that my insurance doesn't cover my appointment and the cost would be for me $1500!!!! I left the office asking why didn't they check it before, no one answered..... after leaving the office I called my insurance company which confirmed that the service I requested is covered when billed correctly!!!!! Dr aronson is the best doctor in the world ! I owe him my life for my beautiful baby girl !!!! Would never go anywhere else !!!

First, the good news. Dr. Aronson performed surgery on me a couple of months ago and it went off without a hitch. Seriously, it was almost a non-event. It was done laparoscopically so was minimally invasive; I didn't even have to take anything stronger than ibuprofen afterwards. In and out of the hospital, same day. He even stopped by after the surgery to show me photos. So I have only good things to say about Dr. A. as a medical professional. From business person, however, the man and his office staff need some help. I had a post-op appointment scheduled with Dr. A. a couple of weeks after my surgery. I showed up on time for my appointment. Fifty-three minutes later, as I was sitting in a little room with that lovely paper sheet across my lap, someone stuck her head in and said, "He had a delivery." I realize babies are thoughtless little creatures with no respect for other people's time and schedules - but seriously, no one in that office had an inkling that I might not be seen? Not after the first 20 minutes? Not after the first 30 or 40 minutes? So I got dressed and left. Several weeks later, Dr. A.'s office called me, saying I hadn't scheduled a post-op appointment. Um, yes, I did. I told the woman on the phone what had happened. I also told her I didn't really see any reason to go back because I was doing fine. She apologized and said she would call me back after she talked to Dr. A. I got another call some days later and was told that he wanted to see me to make sure I was healing properly. So I scheduled another appointment. I went to appointment #2 today - again, arriving on time. I told the woman at the desk what had happened the last time. She said, "Sometimes he leaves and doesn't even tell us." Great. At the half-hour mark, I told her I was preparing to pack up and leave. She assured me I would be the next person called. Nope. Another woman - whose appointment was at the same time as mine, by the way! - went in next. After 45 minutes, I left. I'd already been charged a $50 copay and am trusting that they will back out that transaction. I understand that emergencies happen, appointments can run late, etc. But a doctor's office is business like any other. They should respect their patients and their patients' time. Fine, you're running late today; then demonstrate the most basic courtesy and call or text me (and everyone else you have booked today) and tell me you're behind schedule so I don't waste my time. I lost almost two hours of my life (not counting travel time) that I will never get back; I honestly feel like I should send *them* a bill. read more

Update: my delivery went as well as it could have up until the epidural team botched me up real good. Dr A is far to good of a Dr to have a team like that screwing up women so horribly. Worst experience of my life was that epidural. Update: Nearing the end of my pregnancy the nurse that takes blood and weighs me every time said "aye Yai yai" when she saw my weight gain this month. Only complaint so far- besides the wait time. Who does that???? Original review: My first pregnancy was so unnecessarily stressful bc of the dr I used a the time (mainly office staff). I have not had a problem here so far and it has helped me have a lot more of a relaxed pregnancy. Other reviewers mentioned the office staff was rude- I have not found that to be true at all. I am always friendly and they are friendly back. The ladies doing blood draws in the back are the same- friendly once I open up a convo with them. Leaps and bounds nicer than the office I used w baby #1. I haven't delivered yet but I am hopeful that I will be in the best of hands because I have only heard good things. I love what the other reviewers had to say about Dr. Aronson and I had a friend personally refer me. I came in for my initial appointment 7 weeks pregnant. The staff at the front desk were rude and unwelcoming. The nurses who did the bloodwork were ok but again not super friendly. Dr. A was serious as others have described him but seemingly nice. He told me to stop nursing my 15 month old because it would have negative effects on the pregnancy and new baby. I think this was the thing that I disliked the most, overall doctors don't agree on this topic but my new doctor said it was perfectly fine to continue nursing as do many other pro-breastfeeding doctors. I don't know, it wasn't one thing that did it but I left that appointment with a bad taste in my mouth and decided to continue my search for the OB who would care for me and my new little one. When I called for my records to be transferred (several calls as the office was closed for no apparent reason for almost a week in February) and again to cancel my appointment no one ever asked why I wasn't coming back. The girls on the phone couldn't have cared less as long as I paid my $150 balance. Pregnancy is such a special time and so much of it is spent at your doctors office. For me I want a place where that makes me feel welcome and cared for. This wasn't it for me. read more

Looking for a trustworthy OB/GYN who has your best interests, your health, and your birth preferences in mind? Seriously, don't bother looking any further. Dr. Aronson is the doc you've been looking for. He is, HANDS DOWN, the most wonderful clinician, care-taker, and OB/GYN I've ever met. This review is long overdue as my daughter is now 8 years old, but after recently relocating (for the 3rd time) and having to find yet another OB/GYN, I find that I compare them all to my all-time favorite OB/GYN, Dr. Gil Aronson. After my first child presented breech and failed an attempted version, I had to have a c-section (different doc in a different state). I was thrilled to have a healthy baby, but I yearned for a better delivery experience with my second pregnancy. Fast forward a couple of years, and I was so grateful to find Dr. Aronson when we moved to South Florida. Dr. Aronson agreed to allow me to attempt a VBAC when no one else in South Florida would even entertain the thought. And when I told him I was doing this wacky thing called "Hypnobirthing", he readily encouraged it and shared some very helpful success stories. He allowed my doula and my mother to be in the delivery room, and totally respected my preferred birthing approach as long as my vitals stayed within a range that was comfortable for him. He worked WITH ME, not on me as if I were nothing but a cadaver. He talked me (and my husband!) through the entire delivery, gently encouraging when I/we needed it, and standing back when I/we were doing our thing. The birth of my daughter was the single most amazing moment of my life. It was the delivery I wanted, and I felt so confident in his care throughout my entire pregnancy. Dr. Aronson is simply wonderful!!! You literally couldn't be in better hands. NOTE: If you're the kind of person looking to schedule a C-section in the first month of your pregnancy, Dr. Aronson isn't your guy. Lucky for you there are no shortage of golf-obsessed OB/GYNs who will happily schedule you around their tee times and bill your insurance company and bank account the full amount necessary to cover an unnecessary surgery. With Dr. Aronson, if you end up having to have a c-section, you can be assured that it was absolutely necessary and you were out of options. He doesn't cut for the fun and bill-ability of it. This is a guy who clearly took his Hippocratic Oath seriously. And continues to do so to this day. read more

Dr. Aronson is a good doctor and Jasmine is very nice and friendly and good as well. However, the office staff is horrendous and almost makes it not worth seeing him because they are so horrible to deal with. They are rude, they give attitude and they love transferring calls in order to avoid having to speak with you. I find it important to have nice and helpful staff, as the staff makes the experience pleasant. You won't get that at this office! The nurses who draw blood are nice enough but the receptionist and billing/office staff are just so rude! read more

Dr. Aronson doesn't need a review because he is simply amazing and magical. I am absolutely in love with him. He is the ONLY doctor who bravely look on the task of naturally (vaginally) delivering my twins. One of my babies was even born breach and he STILL safely delivered her. Dr. Aronson is so amazing, an exemplary doctor who has the guts to take on complicated cases. When no other doctors in town would even consider delivering my twins naturally he agreed with confidence that he could do the job. He really shines under pressure and stays cool, collected and a true professional. He truly saved my life during birth because I had serious complications during delivery and he was a star. Never again!- I hope you read this Irene and staff members at Dr. Aronson Gil office including your Dr. Aronson. This doctor office is a sham. I'm speaking as mother, daughter and sister. Instead of helping they dismissed me. I arrived for my appointment and I was told to pay 501.00 for the transvaginal ultrasound. I let the person know that I will pay 200.00 and you can submit a claim for the rest to my insurance. The lady looked at me with a nasty attitude and said we do not do that. She called the office desk manager Irene and Irene said I need to meet a deductible. I let her know I'm aware of that however you can submit a claim for the remainder once I pay you 200.00 she said no it cannot be done. I asked her why are you over charging me the contract between your office and my insurance is 441.00 why are you over charging me she said this is what the amount shows I owes. This office is a sham. Do not waist your time and money in this office. I have never been treated like this before they are rude and no empathy, they could have taken the 200.00 but they refused. They will not work with you. Please beware do not go to this office for pregnancy treatment and care or any other treatment it is a sham. Dr. Aronson is SUPERB. I did my research and selected Dr. Aronson based on reviews I had found online and instinct. I had to have surgery to remove a very large cyst from my ovary. I was very apprehensive about this surgery since I'd already had 4 C-sections. I am very happy that I've found Dr Aronson. He and his staff have been very friendly and accommodating (I was running late for an appointment one day and they still saw me although the office was closed). The initial appointment on medical history was very thorough. His nurse practitioner asked many questions and took her time. No visit had lengthy lobby wait time and I was never rushed while being seen. Physical exams have never been painful or uncomfortable. The surgery was smooth and not very evasive. His bedside manners before and after surgery was A+. Everyone is different but I was able to walk near to normal right after and surprisingly never took any pain killers AT ALL. The doctor is attentive and will answer EVERY question you ask. He knows what he's doing and I feel fully confident in his care. Finding this type of service can be tough but I am so glad I found Dr. Aronson. read more

Went there today to find out they also changed the office where I was going to have the appointment without telling me, their mistake. I called them and told them I was on my way but I would be 10 min late. They told me that they could not wait. THEIR mistake and they cannot wait 10 min??? No respect for the patient. It is true what ana said. Dr. Aronson (or uncle Gil as we call him Behind his back)is a great, compassionate doctor and I Truly mean it when I say I received some of the best medical care in Florida. I had a rather traumatizing first trimester and he was able to help me through it and call back the same day for all my first time mom crazy questions. I found his staff very helpful and professional they are just very busy and sometimes this can weigh On them; however despite this I was only kept waiting once at his office twenty minutes past my appointment. Time and only because he had two emergency c sections and a hysterectomy. Be forewarned. Dr. Aronson is not like other doctors in Florida he is very serious as he should be because he is dealing with your life and the baby's because of how serous he is some people interpreted him as sterile he really isn't he just takes some time to open up (he is a little shy ironic huh?) And get to know you and is great at walking the line between professional and friendly I drove all the way from south beach to see Gil and u should too am he didn't disappear after baby was born either he was able to help me a lot With breasfeeding issues etc, he is also very non judgemental conservative in his approach also he is one of the first doctors Who does v backs and has a very very low c-section rate read more

Good luck if you are delivering on a weekday prior to when his office is closed and he is done seeing patients and answering phone calls. Nurses left him 3 separate voicemails stating I was in physical distress for hours; by then the baby monitor was showing signs of non-reassuring heart rate. Because I was crowning, Aronson used the vacuum 10x (his notes say 3, the nurses documented ten times) desperately trying to get the baby out. Ignoring the diminishing vital signs, he continued anyway. I tell other providers about my experience and they are shocked and appalled that such a seasoned and experienced doctor demonstrated a severe lapse of judgment and such negligent behavior. His ego clouded his perception of reality, and I will forever be physically and emotionally scarred as a result. Find a different provider. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Aronson's for over 10 years (and one delivery) and I can honestly say that he is by far the best I have experienced.  He is calm, patient and very knowledgeable in answering any questions or concerns you may have.  His staff members are all great!  I know deliveries are sometimes unpredictable.  Although the appt. wait may be a bit long during these times, I completely understand and wait or reschedule my appt.  During my delivery, once Dr. Aronson arrived we all felt at ease and of course everything worked out great.  I would highly recommend Dr. Aronson. From my first visit to Dr. Aronsons office, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I'm at the beginning of my pregnancy, this being my first child and I was already scared and anxious. His staff wasn't welcoming or professional from the second I walked into his office. I've heard stories about others experiences from friends of mine and I couldn't believe these stories until I had one of my own. Not once did they answer my phone calls and when I left messages, they never called me back so when I had a billing question, I figured I would drop in and quickly ask. As I let them know who I was, the woman in the office gives me a dirty look and says to me " didn't you leave a message"? All I was thinking is, so you got my message but still didn't have the decency to call me back as both girls were just sitting chatting away. I would've understood if they were working but they were just talking and laughing and yet didn't have the time to call me back. My following visit, they wanted to do a universal panel (where they check for all the diseases) so I asked if insurance covers it because if it doesn't, it cost $350 which to be honest, I couldn't afford. The nurse tells me she is just going to draw the blood and send it in but they won't do anything until my insurance company calls me to let me know if it's covered. A few days later I see the results are in. A few days after that the lab company called me to let me know that my insurance did not cover it. I'm curious now to know who is going to be responsible for this. So after several very unpleasant visits, I decided to find a new doctor who happens to be a floor above Aronson. I went for my first appointment and they needed my results so I figured I would just run downstairs and grab it. When I walked in, the 2 girls at the front desk gave me the most disgusting looks and then called the girl from the back to come see who was here and then she gave me the most disgusting look. I wanted to cry but held it in. I promise, I never felt so bad in my life and I have to say, I'm not even one of those annoying patients. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I hope they don't treat others like they treated me. read more

Unfortunately I do not agree with the reviews before mine. I was a patient of Dr. Aronson's for 7 months with my first pregnancy. I chose him to be my doctor due to the fact that my first language is Hebrew and he spoke Hebrew. From day 1 I felt uncomfortable coming to the doctor and openly asking him questions, I always felt that he had no patience for my curiosity. On the 6th week of my pregnancy I went to the ER with some bleeding. When I came to him the day after with the report from the ER doctor he did not give me a straight answer to the actual problem I had and said that he had no way to explain it to me either. A few weeks later I suffered from pain in my lower stomach. After calling his office and not being able to get in touch with him for a few days (even though as an OBGYN he is suppose to be on call at anytime) the nurse told me they were low on resources and that was the reason I couldn't reach him. When I finally met the doctor he did a cursory check and told me that the pain was normal and there is nothing to worry about it was just the expansion of the uterus. Unfortunately, 3 weeks later after a whole night of pain I went to the hospital, I got examined and then the nurses realized that I was dilated 10cm. This was an emergency situation that required the doctor to arrive ASAP, but instead I ended up waiting 7 hours for him to arrive. I was worried, panicked, and clueless. The situation was severe with a fear of losing the baby at 23 weeks. When he arrived he told me that with a special type of bed rest in the hospital there is a good chance not to lose the baby and that he will visit me again the following day in the morning. Still being in a confused and scared state of mind I expected Dr. Aronson in the morning as he promised but he only showed up again at 2:30 in the afternoon and told me that I was going to lose the baby. The next day I went into labor. I was in the delivery room having strong contractions and with a nurse who had no idea what to do and no doctor around to take control. I ended up going through delivery without the doctors presence at all. His excuse was that he didn't think I would deliver so quickly even though he knew I was dilated 10cm already. Besides that trauma of losing the baby so far along, the way the doctor treated me during the pregnancy was hurtful and unacceptable especially when I paid privately and in full from the beginning. I felt that it wasn't about me or my baby, it was all about the money. All in all my experience with Dr. Aronson was uncomfortable, awkward, disappointing, and I do not recommend him to anyone else. read more
