I had an appointment with AC today a very pleasant Asian man.I had to change the appointment a couple of times. There was zero attitude, and great Customer service. When I finally arrived, AC gave me a fond hello, and showed me the restroom, if I needed it. The space was clean and I felt good about that. As the session started AC asked about the pressure I wanted and he gave exactly that pressure, also being mindful of the arm situation I have going on. The massage was Awesome, professional ,and relaxing. Essential oils, and hot stones were used. Also a foot massage. It reminded of a massage one would expect from the Four Seasons. If one should be inclined to visit EMS a session with AC would be a welcomed treat.I have had loads of massages, in Nyc and abroad. AC is truly a trained and professional body treatment man.Hot sented towels were used to remove the oils. I appreciate the service, AC I will be a regular!

It's a great deep tissue massage. I mean they can really get all those knots. You may feel beat up but it's in a good way. I almost recommend 60 min of a deep tissue beat down and a 30 min soft massage after. That's what I'm gonna do! It's a great price. Nice salon. Nice people. Everything was clean and we felt relaxed. I will return.

I had a great experience. I don't get massages often, but I had been traveling and needed a massage…read moreto get the kinks out of my back. Thai Senses was just down the street from my hotel so it was very convenient. I was able to book a massage online through their website. I don't know all the various styles of massage, but the descriptions on the website steered me to a Thai-Yoga combo massage. Booking was easy, but right after they called and asked if I could move up a half hour earlier to accommodate their schedule. Wasn't a problem for me so I agreed. The spa is in a little high-rise building sandwiched between taller ones. I walked right past it, but then I saw the address numbers and walked back, counting down, and there it was. Inside was a little hallway with a security guard in front of the elevator (made me think of the Men In Black movie!). He was friendly, asked if I had an appointment, and then made me sign an In/Out list with my name and where I was going. Not a problem, I understand the need for security. When I got up to the spa, they were already expecting me. The staff were professional and courteous. I left my shoes at the door and was shown into a room right away. The room was warm with quiet music playing. It was clean and smelled nice. The therapist did a wonderful job with my massage. Ask for Mona - she was fantastic! It was over all too soon - I got an hour, but I should have scheduled a longer one. I can't speak to how their prices compare with other spas, but I was very satisfied with what I paid for the massage I got. They hit me up for the gratuity on my way out the door. I rode the elevator back down, signed out of the guard's log book, and I was back out on the street. A very positive experience overall. I was just passing through so I may never return, but if I am ever in NYC again I would not hesitate to go back.

But their pricing can't be beat and I did feel a lot less tense after. Would go again, though I wish there was a little more privacy in the rooms and silence. I gave the name of the therapist I booked with to the receptionist, who I'm pretty sure is one of the managers. When I got there, the therapist introduced himself by the name of the person I booked with. I came to find out after looking at the Instagram page that the person who gave me my massage was someone different with their name clearly labeled in the post. So both the person at the desk and the therapist lied to Me about who they were which made no sense. On top of that, the therapist did not listen to some of the requests I asked him to like to avoid certain areas. Safe to say I had a bad experience overall, nobody should be deceived like this.

TL;DR version: best massage I've ever had…read more My wife and I visited for 60-minute Shiatsu massages yesterday. I had tension everywhere (I run a lot and I sit at a desk all day) and my wife had an especially tight and sore back and shoulders. We've been to several different spas throughout the U.S. and while Salon de Tokyo is not big on decor and pampering and providing a wide range of services (no rose petal eyelid peel or whatever), it delivers exactly what it should if you have real pain and tension and you just need someone to do everything that needs to be done to relieve it. Both of us walked out feeling much better, if slightly sore (a result of deep massage), and we both woke up this morning without any tension or soreness of any kind. I highly recommend being walked on, as that was where I felt the biggest release of tension. We both look forward to returning and are happy to have finally found a place that really delivers.
