We were meeting friends in the area for a meal and this place seemed like the perfect place, based…read moreon all of the wonderful contributions I could see on Yelp. We arrived early and found a spot in the very small lot they have next to the building. There were plenty of street spots open within walking distance as well. The whole area fills up starting in late morning, so I would plan your trip and know all of your parking options in advance so that you aren't driving 5 miles an hour down the road looking for parking. LOL There is usually a wait, so just be prepared for it. I was able to put our name on the list and we walked around the area. Our server was great - wow was she energetic. Zipping around, smiling and engaging with all of the customers. Our food was delicious!! The sticky bun...we managed to snag one of the last few left. Again, get there early if you don't want to miss out. The corned beef hash - amazing Biscuits - YUM Gravy - savory goodness. Home fries - flavorful and not too greasy. Eggs - perfect! I highly recommend this place and I hope to be able to return again soon, during the non-tourist season.

This cozy breakfast and lunch spot is popular with locals and visitors, so you'll likely have to wait for a table. It is definitely worth the wait, but If you're in a hurry, check to see if a seat is available at the counter. Service at Home Kitchen is warm and welcoming, and you're in for a treat if you're lucky enough to sit in Zan's area (short for Suzanne). I couldn't decide between a tuna sandwich or a grilled cheese, and she suggested combining both into a tuna melt. Brilliant! Along with a shared order of large fries, it was a tasty and filling lunch. The best part? All of it was gluten free! Home Kitchen bakes their own GF bread and pastries, and they are far superior to grocery-store GF baked goods. Even though we were sated from lunch, Zan encouraged us to order dessert, since they had a GF chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting. On her recommendation, we got two cupcakes to go - a GF chocolate cupcake for me, and a pumpkin cupcake with maple cream cheese frosting for my friend -- which we enjoyed later in the day from the comforts of home. Wow. Super delicious. More please!

Whether you're looking for a delicious coffee and a breakfast bite or a wonderful lunch they've got…read moreyou covered, amazing dinner and atmosphere as well. My wife and I first started with coffee. That was absolutely fantastic. We've gone the past three mornings since we've been in town. Stopped in for lunch one day and The Mill turkey stack on sourdough is absolutely wonderful the following evening my wife and I decided to go for dinner. The dinner was delicious, If you would like to make it a truly memorable night I highly recommend The Mill Café not only is the decor wonderful, the staff is genuinely amazing, Aaliyah was wonderful. I recommend the prime rib when available. Also, I definitely recommend making a reservation for dinner.

At first the place looked great - except for the lump of plants in a disarray -I'd remove them --…read moreand food seemed fine - some stuff. Wait staff flying thru and bringing dishes minutes after forcing parties to wait to eat. Winter time - icy parking lot - HUGE big truck at doorway - No handicapped was available. Decided to try again - again food straggles out - the prices went up as well - the salad they give for a $25 plate of food is served in a child kitchen dishes set - am I wrong?--- (also went up a $30) Smart TV playing all the magnificent journey the owner went on. Here is a poor town with many people desperately trying to make ends meet. 1. Most can't afford this prices- $30 -requires a real full dish salad - 2. Most people want to be able to enjoy all eateries, fairs, parades, festivals, ice cream stands, food stands instead of running to local bodega for a piece of beef jersey and a beer. 3. The ready made food is ok sometimes but I'd love to have a porterhouse and king crab legs too - and choose to order -- not just what is made for the day. We tried the burrito- they add potatoes- no one ever adds potatoes- and they won't take the out. White potato is inflammatory- can't eat it. Was hoping breakfast items had more Gluten free variety & dairy alternatives: goat milk - lots of goat farms around - all sell goat milk in supermarkets- I checked I think this area suffers enough and everyone should experience a meal in any eatery in Dover Foxcroft- You all represent businesses in the area and the communities people pay your bill(s). I'd love to see more accommodating prices - open every day so ALL MAINERS can find a seat at your establishment. MAke affordable meals as well as your expensive ones ---People should choose. DId you say cake? can you cut a real normal piece? this is not NYC- only place ever served so ski skimpy like yours ---was at Tavern on The Green--NYC Other things distracting- owners sitting with "special or favorite" Again- small town - Owners-Chef should greet and hear compliments from all patrons. All patrons should be able to give constructive criticism on what they are served. I can critique as we had a very successful restaurant and a grocery store. Being part of community- store owners have an obligation to uphold certain business ethics as they enrich the community and the community looks at you and how you handle your staff and your store. We hope to see and hear changes so all people who expressed the issues at your store can walk in and have dinner without breaking the bank or robbing money from Little Lucia's piggy bank. GOD BLESS Be the Example
