I lost my keys at the worst of times. I had parked my car, not realizing that the city needed the street to be clear of cars for cleaning. Thanks to Arnold's Towing, I was able to have my car released for one third of the price I would've been charged with the other towing companies. read more

A completely successful keys pirate adventure! They steal your car from parking lots then make you pay $500 to get it back. If you complain to them they basically tell you shut up we don't care. They must only be in business because others are in on it. No idea. read more

My car was towed out of my own residence. They initially wanted to charge me $500 because I wanted to pick up my car before 8am. She said it will cost that amount because they needed somebody to go open the gate. (I don't understand how opening a gate affects the price) Then told me to come between 8am to 5pm to avoid a price increase. Once I arrived to receive my vehicle, They charge me $200 for a hook up fee, $50 for a processing fee, $40 for a storage, $50 for labor, $48 mile fee (6 miles from the tow company and back to the tow company), and $6.75 for tax. Stay far away from these people are the devil. Will literally charge you for anything. Also cash only just to make it more inconvenient for you.Money hungry and just rude customer service. IF YOU STAY IN KEY WEST STAY FAR AWAY!!!! read more

Arnold's towing towed my vehicle 1.6 miles and had it for about two hours and charged me $550 this is a scam many many people have the same situation cruise around just looking for cars to tow the other issue is you can only take out so much at a time out of their machine and they charge you each time and they've got it priced where you have to do it more than once read more

This place is awful. Do not use this place under any circumstances when I called to complain about their customer service by the gentleman that I used. I went on line and saw that an average tow for a sedan in Key West is from $75 to $125 depending on distance. My son was charged $500 for a tow a couple months ago from I guess a no parking zone. Yesterday he got in a small accident and the same towing company was called and there fee is $500. I do not understand how they are allowed to get away with this gouging and the lady on duty is super rude. I guess as long as people pay it they will do it. However you have no choice when they have your car. read more

$286 to tow my car. Worst tow company Ever! Terrible service and even worse people. How do you even begin to justify that price for a 4 mile tow against my wishes from a parking garage when i was 5 hours late. read more

I would rate them -5 if I could. I came in this morning and decided to stop by my AirBnB. I was inside the house for no more than 5 minutes. I had parked next to the house with NO tow away signs nor was my car blocking anything. There was no indication that it was an illegal parking space. As soon as I came back to the car, these guys already had my car ready to go and demanded $75. These guys were probably lurking around waiting for an easy victim. If they take it to the tow yard, they said it will cost me $200. I requested multiple times to let it go but the guy was rude and was not willing to wait even a minute. These guys are scammers the meanest kind preying like vultures on innocent visitors and others. This is nothing different than a robbery. This business should not exist and the police should close it down. read more

I actually had a good experience with this company - despite the fact that I see many people did not. I was originally going to have my car towed with Anchor - but they pulled an outrageous bait and switch, so I dropped them. This company kept their agreed upon terms as arranged. read more

They towed my scooter, parked in an area that I've seen others parked, sign for towing was way away from where I parked it. Parked and looked for sign saw none but I'll take the blame. Exorbitant amount paid to retrieve it, when I got it, it looked like someone spat on the seat (Still wet) but so be it, wouldn't expect less from what are in my opinion grifters. The sad thing is, those that can't afford their exorbitant fees, lose their scooters to Arnold's towing via leans I believe in something akin to Karma, so good luck; no threat whatsoever but, because people reap what they sow Update: Called their number to tell them what it looked like on my seat, and was told I was imagining it, and that it would never happen, I hope they are right, but I wish they would have looked into it without going into a litany of who they are connected to, got the feeling she was telling me to watch my back, crazy read more

Needed to have an old scooter disposed of. After trying to get information from several other towing companies in the area, I found Arnold's was informative and helpful. A visit to their facility on Stock Island to facilitate paperwork was easy and the staff was so very pleasant. Great people to work with. The scooter was picked up as arranged and the necessary disposal paperwork filed with the State. Price was more than reasonable. Came away from the whole experience feeling good, and glad to have my needs met completely. read more

It's a disappointment there are some people like these guys. One of them just tried to tow me away for stoping in tow away spot for less than 2 minutes, charged a 100 bucks for letting me out saying that people don't have anywhere to park when they come home...really with 5 more free spots... Easy money for them i guess, enjoy em read more

This business should be embarrassed by the charges they charge. After my misunderstanding of the parking rules at the condo, this business towed the vehicle approximately 4 miles, stored in back lot for approximately 14 hours and then demanded $546 in cash to release the vehicle. My mistake in parking wrong and their fault for unscrupulous charges when a called tow cost $75-$100 this is wrong. If I owned this business I would hang my head in shame as you smiled after being paid and say have a blessed day. I don't care if your claim is the city of Key West approves these charges. read more

This place is as bad as it gets. Parked my rental car in a pay by app lot in KW. Got an immediate alert from my credit card company that it was charged, and app showed I had several hours of time. Came back shortly with plenty of time on clock and car was gone. Called police and reported car stolen, found locating of car by tracking app on my iPad which was in car. Called Arnold's who said they towed it because license plate didn't match something I don't know what, the app didn't ask for a plate number. They refused to bring car back so had to uber and pay $265 to get car back and missed flight. This place was very rude and no help at all. They make money by snatching your car. read more

Arnold's Towing Service - Arnold's Dumpy Grumpy Towing Service - Towing Near Me - Key West, Florida

I was very happy with the responsiveness and the professionalism of Arnold's. I felt they knew what they were doing.

Towed my car from Ocean Walk Apartments - resident for 10+ years. Bad business in Key West - beware!!!! Parked my car for two hours in the guest parking during the day to find out later that the car had been towed away unauthorized. Again, have lived there for 10+ years . No apology no nothing , the owner of this company charged me $266. They are rules are clear that you're not supposed to park there overnight, but taking the car during the day for making quick cash is ridiculous . Showed them all paperwork, explained, but nothing worked. The lady on the phone was very rude , unapologetic and careless. Bobee at the gate what is even worse, zero customer service , they pay him $75 from each towed car and he cares less. Bad business. Basically stealing money, time and abusing people. Beware! read more

Could these people be any more unprofessional?!? Doubtful. Rude and ignorant receptionist, probably the same one who answers the phone, as it's hard to believe there are two women this bad at the same company but I guess it's possible. Just call someone else. read more

This company gets your car towed when they have a slow night. We can aid $25 to park, stayed at a bar in downtown Key West, when we went to pick up our car it was towed by this company they have a sign and they wait till the bars close and if you don't get to your car on time they charged us 500+ dollars to get our car back that they were holding ransom. The most nasty, unprofessional people I've ever met. Spent 3 days on the road and all day moving my belongings into my new apartment. Ten hours into moving things upstairs they come by and snatch my car out from under me. All because of a parking permit sticker that I could not retrieve since the office is closed on Sundays. I tried to explain my situation to the driver. But all I received were nasty comments in return. Same with calling them the next day to explain that I LIVE THERE. Which I received nasty and irrational remarks from the woman that picked up the phone. All this business wants to do is steal your vehicle no matter the circumstances and hold it hostage until you pay ridiculous fees to have it returned. Scum of the Keys. read more

Absolutely ridiculous that this company is allowed to continue to operate with the hundred of reviews claiming they are scammers. We were told by the bar we were at that they were scams going on our vehicle got towed from a public parking and then they told us it was private. The police officers know, the bar owners know and the Sunshine rental people know yet they continue to do this daily. It's very shady here on the Island. read more

I would give zero stars if allowed. This is a predatory business. I'm making reports to the city as well as the Better Business Bureau. My car was towed without any warning from a private parking lot where I was staying as a guest. "Visitor parking" was not clearly marked at the location. When these individuals towed my car, it was around 3am when I was asleep. I had to get to work via Lyft, then go get the car during a break at work. When I got there, they said the car had been there over 6 hours, and they charge $30/hr after 6 hours. Should be from the time they open at 8am? Very predatory and harmful to people trying to live everyday lives. I had to pay $250 for parking across from visitor parking for one day. These people have zero morals, zero class, and definitely NOT recommended at any time. F - read more

I'd give 0 stars if I could. This company towed my car from my own apartment building. Had to run inside for 5 minutes, came out and have no idea how it was gone so fast. As I was calling them, I saw them drive out of the lot with my car on the back. While on the phone with the woman, they refused to turn around even though i could still visibly see them. The woman was NASTY. Laughing at me on the phone, giving atttidue and being straight up inconsiderate and rude. I followed my car to the towing place 5 minutes down the road just to find out that it was cash only and $286. My friend went in and paid for me since I didn't have cash on me. the guy opened the gate to let me in, as I got in my car, the rude woman I spoke to on the phone came out, grabbed a young child by the arm (maybe two years old) and whipped him up and swung him across the parking lot and started yelling at me saying "who's that?? What's going on??" I turned my Jeep on and drove out as she was yelling profanities at me. She was ghetto trash and should be reported for child abuse. I could care less about my car, but how that woman threw her child across the lot by the arm should spark an investigation by CPS. It was heartbreaking. Not to mention that the place was disgusting, dirty, and had trash everywhere. read more

These people have a very terrible attitude. I parked in a private place that wasn't marked. Ok my fault, they had a right to tow my vehicle. I called to ask them if they had towed my vehicle, The lady who operates this business from a cell phone (her name is doriss) didn't want to confirm that they did or didn't have my car. I asked them again if they had my vehicle, and if not I would have to call the police department and tell them my vehicle had been stolen. Doriss said "well they are just going to tell you to call us anyway". I explained to her, then why would you not tell me whether or not your company picked up my car. it's plain and simple if I am just going to have to call you right back. She was silent for a few seconds then said, "yes we have your car". I asked her what was the process I need to use to get my car back, and she explained I would have to just show up at their "lot" when someone was there. I asked if someone was there now, and she said no, and she couldn't tell me when someone was going to be there. She recommended I just show up and wait for someone to return. So I go to their "lot" and wait outside, several hours later a guy drives by in a long flatbed towing truck and does a double take look at me. He slams on the brakes, and asks "do we have your car". I replied by saying "i hope so, if not i'm waisting time here". He pulls into the parking lot, then opens the door and has me come in. He goes on, and on about how they are the cheapest towing service in the Florida Keys, and I am so lucky that they picked up my car. When I asked him "how am I lucky, that my car got towed, please explain in detail?" He got pissed off and began complaining about giving me my car, and telling me that he can keep my car up to 48 hours if he wants to, and etc.... I only dealt with "Dorris" over the phone and this guy named "Bubba" who is supposedly the guy who towed my car. The charge was $135 for the tow, $30 for a "gate fee", and $20 for an administration fee. NO TAX was added/charged on my bill and they towed my car at 620pm from the lot and it was roughly 830pm before they ever showed back up at the office to give me my car. I raised the question about out of a parking lot of over 2 dozen cars how come they towed only mine. His response was "you had the most expensive car in the lot, we knew you were going to pay". Dealing with these 2 individuals, and the attitudes that they displayed is what earned them a 1 star rating from me. read more

This business is a complete sham, they won't answer your questions when you call them and they'll give you an attitude while doing it, even if your completely respectful. They use entrapment to tow people's cars and get fee's even if you have all of the right parking permits and are in the right. This business has illegal practices and should be shut down. read more

How do we STOP this? 1 star complaints going back to 2011. Parked in lot 1320 off Duval and Caroline street, paid the hourly premium via the pay mobile app and hit Irish Kevin's. After a great night and an hour left on the time expiration we decided to head home only to find the car gone. We quickly figured out this was an issue in this lot and called the number on the towing sign. The woman Kunia Smith at dispatch answered and asked for a copy of the receipt, which I provided by email. She said to come get the car and she would speak to the manager. When arriving at Arnolds, which is out of the city limits "this info is important later" a little homeless looking man comes out and says his manager told him we have to pay. I immediately called dispatch asking for an explanation and to speak to the manager, I was denied and hung up on. So the county police was the next phone call. When the cops arrived, which was the third complaint of the night at this point, they said there was nothing they could do because it happened in city limits and they where located in county limits. We ended up having to pay, which is cash only conveniently for them a $135 towing fee, a $75 "Bubba Fee" for the jackass to open the gate and a processing fee for a total cost of $250. They've got a racket going and need to be stopped, I understand parking is an issue in Key West and individuals that feel they can park anywhere and not pay should be towed, but when I have proof of a receipt, a credit card charge and an email from the pay mobile app verifying the transaction, this should have been a non issue....yet here I am, detailing another incident from another paying citizen who's car was stolen and payment was demanded and they still remain open? What's wrong with this scenario. read more
