Cute place. Good coffee and specialty drinks and super cute decor (retro/chic). Also it's conveniently located right near Arnold's Park and there's an area to sit outside. I've been a few times and had decent service (the above listed things are all proven good). However, the last time the service made me frustrated. I came in after a workout on a Saturday around 830am. The line wasn't very long. Usually it's out the door. This time I walked right up to the counter. My frozen coffee still took 15 minutes. I asked the barista where my coffee was because I noticed her calling other names and handing other people who had come in after me getting their drinks. She asked what I had. I showed her my ticket. She said, "oh, we wouldn't have made it because that's the ticket we are supposed to have." My reply was "the girl gave it to me!" Her reply, "oh. Well we didn't make it." I was holding the ticket because the cashier girl handed it to me... oh well. I got my caffeine!! The girls all seemed a little tired and their hair up on their heads like they all just rolled out of bed. The frozen coffee was decent. Quality flavored beans (reminds me of Dunkin Donuts!) here. They also sell bags of beans. They also sell mugs and t-shirts but overpriced ($20 a t-shirt). I didn't have the breakfast except for a prepared cinnamon roll. Now that was amazing! The Arnold's Perk Coffee Shop is as cute as a button. It looks like an old general store and is an easy walk to the Central Emporium and to the Amusement Park. I initially came in for coffee, but ended up hanging around their living room for a bit, and adding a delicious scone for my trouble. The down home atmosphere with free wi-fi, available PCs, games, reading material and comfy couches invite you to stay awhile and relax. I've been coming to Arnold's perk several times a week all summer for years to buy coffee and beans! This past week and especially today 8/11 the coffee has been the worst coffee I've ever had here. I tried several of the coffees to find one that at least tasted like coffee the Highlander grog, Guatemalan dark (was weaker than the Guatemalan) were like hot water! I purchased two large coffees and one latte the latter was ok. I politely let the gal making the latte know that the coffees were all very weak this morning and she pretty much ignored me. I would not have complained if it was just the first time this week but it's been sub par thurs Friday and the worst today. I am trying to help Arnold's Perk retain their 4 star rating. I hope management at Arnold's perk reads my review and cares enough to make sure the employees make coffee that is at least tastes like coffee. Currently. Quick Star makes much better coffee for about a third of the price. I like this little coffee shop and I don't mind paying coffee shop prices for the coffee if it at least tastes like coffee. I will still buy the beans tho! read more

Really nice place to grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich right in Arnold's Park! They have a wide selection of coffee drinks as well as breakfast sandwiches, bowls, and pastries! I loved my breakfast sandwich with eggs and cheese on a bagel! If you opt for regular coffee, they have 8-10 different kinds/flavors to choose from with free refills! The inside is super cute with lots of funny coffee-themed wall decor and Central-Perk inspired seating. They also have quite a bit of outdoor seating. Both times I went on a recent trip the line was pretty long but food and drinks came out relatively fast. read more

This is a great spot for a coffee break or a spot to get work done. The decor is eclectic and fun. They have games to play, although my husband and I brought cards to play while drinking our coffee. We had an almond bar that was yummy, the cold brew, and a smelly cat (hazelnut + vanilla latte). It's a nice spot for resting your feet for a bit when you've been walking around taking in the sites and shopping. read more

Fun spot in the center of Okoboji. They've arranged many two and four top tables in and outside. The line can be long and with the occasional idiot ordering painfully slow. Lots of awesome looking though slightly bland tasting treats. Make sure you get the cinnamon roll heated. Coffee drinks are fine though without the barista care one gets at a coffee centered cafe. Breakfast sandwich is good though ask that they not salt the eggs if you're getting one of the WAAAY FXCKING salty meats added to it. read more

Let me start out saying, you will go into the national debt getting a coffee here. This place makes the new Starbucks in town look cheap. However, the coffee here is worth EVERY PENNY! Whenever I am in town and everyday that I am in town, I go here in the morning to get the Smokin' Blonde. It has caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla in it (I think?). Been visiting this coffee bar for years. The staff is very friendly and make fantastic coffee drinks both hot and cold. Their drip coffee doesn't disappoint and they always have a variety of delicious flavors as well as great regular coffee. I haven't tried their food, however, I have seen the waitstaff bringing it to other patrons and it always looks delicious. Definitely recommend for some great coffee in Okoboji! read more

This place was one of the perks of my trip. Everything from the decor, to the incredibly helpful girls behind the counter, it was great. I felt like I had been there 50x by the third day. With plenty of seating inside and out, its a great place to start your day. They present plenty of self serve options for the coffee customer. Espresso person? Yes, they nail most of those as well- 12, or 16-ounce only. They have non milk options too. And pastries, forget about it. They are great. Arnold's Perk is not what it once was! It is now overcrowded with merchandise, and the quality of the coffee is terrible. I had to have my drink remade and it still tasted bad. I'm not sure if it is a brand change, or the barrista's lack of skills! Although the servers were upbeat, they were very unorganized. Additionally the place smells like a nasty burrito! Once again I will say the Arnold's Park area is over worked and understaffed. The staff here was overwhelmed with the crowd and constant business. Some seemed disinterested which put more work on the others. I was fine with the wait until others whom ordered after we're receiving their orders first. Thankfully one girl recognized that we had been waiting and pushed our order through. The coffee cake was great and coffee was very good. I'd try it again. However their organization to get from the order being taken to delivered needs work. Order receipts were everywhere and could easily be lost or orders mixed up. They ran out of to go cup sleeves, the first girl pretty much told me tough luck. The other girl who pushed our order through saw my frustration and provided me with a 2nd cup after I asked. Thankfully I wasn't the only person to see this. Several other customers were also irritated. read more
