We have had very many rude encounters with the staff, although our more recent visits have been better. Maybe they've hired some kinder people. One of the most frustrating things is how skimpy they are with their drinks. I ask for no foam on my latte - so instead of frothing the milk less, they scoop out a full inch of foam and leave me with a 3/4 full drink. Not what I paid for. Or they ignore me and put 2 inches of foam on top. There is no in between, and it has happened every single time I've come here (10+ visits in the past 2 months). When my husband asks for less ice in his iced drinks, they either ignore his request and fill the cup absolutely full of ice, OR they put a few ice cubes but only fill the drink 2/3 full. I understand they're trying to save margins, but really? It's already a $6 drink, you can't spare 3 extra ounces? There is a decent rewards program when you download the app. Just scan before paying and you rack up points pretty quickly. They also have "double smile days" where you can get double points, just like Starbucks. However, for quality of drinks and friendliness of staff, I'd much rather go to Starbucks. Hopefully they can get some of the kinks worked out, or we won't be coming here any more. We keep giving them chances, but we're often disappointed.

With no retail neighbors or walk-by traffic, Donna and Ann Muilenburg know their gift shop is a destination for their customers. Parking is not a problem for customers and the Wash House has a big farmers porch that Donna and Ann use like a display window and expanded selling space in their busy season. In the summer months, the porch is stocked with fresh plants, decorated with garden decor and sometimes flags that flow in the wind to catch the eye of customers as they drive by. In the early Fall, the porch can be found filled with pumpkins, gords and fun outdoor decor. Like myself, most Wash House customers have been shopping there for years. They know they can always find just the right gift for most occasions when a quality gift is called for. Prices range from moderate up, depending on the item.
