Sadly I am having to write a really poor review for this branch, which having bought in the region of 12 cars over the years from Arnold Clark, this is the first I have had any problems.
I had reguarly been told that once the sale is signed with Arnold, their aftersales care was awful - which to date I had disagreed with. But have to say, that on this occassion, I found out exactly what people were talking about.
Although, I now have the various problems sorted (which by the way were not related to the car but the way in which the sale had been done, i.e. paperwork and transactions etc) it took me having to involve Arnold Clark's Head Office before I got to where I need to be.
Despite promise after promise after promise after promise from my salesperson, nothing was materialising and Arnold Clark certainly wasnt meeting my expectations and it took 5 months to sort out issues that could have been sorted in a matter of minutes!
This is why I have given them such a poor rating - so whilst I am not saying don't use Arnold Clark overall, just keep your eye on the ball with the aftersale service.
Addition on 07/02/09 - I am adding further to this, as since I made further comments about the service, I have recieved further reimbursement for technically out of pocket - so at least the Company has continued to try to resolve the issues. read more
