Now, with that being said, the lady who was working was very dry and didn't seem interested in helping us or didn't provide answers to our questions. I felt this way inside the store (and kept my thoughts to myself). When we left my son mentioned that he wanted to ask if they were hiring but he didn't think the lady felt like talking today, lol. Last year, I went to Home D and wasted three times the amount of money on junk soil. I had a terrible 2020 growing season. Rocky's estimate on the quantity was the spot on amount I needed. I was expecting to go back for another scoop but it wasn't necessary. I got just the right amount I needed. So what are you waiting for? Save some money so you can take out yo honey! Thanks Rock! PS: Unless you like wasting money, stop buying that trash munch at big box stores. Especially the ones with dyes. Also, from what I understand, they attract bugs not repel them (you can fact check me on that). They don't last and they only fade. They only look good for the first month. Use Austin cedar mulch from Rocky's.

I had had DFW Tree Solutions trim up a Bradford pear tree in my front yard and remove two big trees…read moreand a small tree in my back yard. My alley way is too narrow for the stump grinder or any other heavy equipment, so the 5-person crew had to carry the heavy limbs by hand to the front yard. They arrived timely and completed the work in about 4.5 hours. They worked diligently enough and was a little clumsy and careless at times, but broke things that I didn't care for too much - a small pot, tea house figurine, and bent planter stake. They cleaned up fairly good given it started to sprinkle towards the end and then full-on raining while they were trying to wrap-up. I would have liked them to pick up more of the small twigs in my flower bed and backyard, but a day of work for me won't hurt. One of the guys climbed a tree with no harness or straps which made me quite nervous, especially when one of the guys handed him the chain saw. I had to say something to the foreman and call Mike to get him to wear a harness. Mike even through in a fair deal to trim my neighbor's tree that really needed, so I am glad we got that done for them. Overall, I would recommend and hire them again if/when the Bradford Pear finally splits on me.

On the others side they had all of the trees and bushes, some we've not see elsewhere. They had a Chocolate Mimosa tree that we've been wanting for our lot, tho no price, and we forgot to ask. They had a weeping peach tree, super cool, haven't seen one of those, it had fruit on it as well, tho online sites say the fruit is purely decorative only and not edible. Prices were actually really good, especially on the perineal flowers and the bushes. $8.00 for some of the 1 gallon plants, and all are well grown and healthy. Can beat that price elsewhere. We talked to some of the staff for some time in the office about plants and landscaping, listen to them and them listening to us in regard to our extensive landscaping at our residence. We wanted to see about a Cascade Falls Cypress, which is a weeping cypress tree, they didn't have any in stock, that's no fault of there's, as it's a rare tree that's hard to find, partly because they take years of growth before they can even sale a 3 foot tree. They have a supplier that has them but can't get any until next year. We will return to check on that tree as well as get some other good deals. They have a lot of hardscape items, flagstone, landscape stone, rocks, etc. this is a really nice place.

Most of the things you get from them are half dead and stressed before you get them home. However, A & M nursery plants just blow my mind! I can buy just one plant now and know that when I get home it will have been cared for and it will live in my garden. instead of buying three and hoping one will live. The family is so friendly and anxious to help. The selection is amazing. But the most important thing is the plant material is beautiful and healthy after you get it home and it will continue to live. I can't wait to my next visit!!! PS: if you think their prices are too high, then take a minute and realize how each plant started as a seed or a cutting has been cared for to be the magnificent plants you get to take home. For my money, the best place hands-down!!

This is an extra special garden center because it feels more like a botanic garden than a nursery. Like wandering a secret garden! Lots of room to wander and explore, and they have everything you could need for your gardening journey, whether you're a beginner or a pro. All the flowers, herbs, veggies, trees, mulch (I believe they make their own), gardening tools, birdfood, outdoor grills, patio furniture, the works.
