I really don't ever take the time to write reviews but this got my blood boiling. I am sure I will be able to find the answers and get outside help to make sure benefits are filed properly but it's unacceptable that you can't easily make an apt online and then have the workers refusing to give people the help they need. Let alone the poor attitude from everyone helping today, you could feel the hate for their job through the phone .

It's incredibly impressive how utterly dark, I mean like close your eyes at the bottom of the sea…read moredark, they can make this little parking lot and have it still be a spectacularly a nice day beyond the exit doors. The social security administration has no phone number to call. When you walk into the building there is a very nice guard who tells you that you can take a number and then he powers down. Like, "Yea, sure, you can live here until we close." Right on brand, very cold, kindless place. The DMV isn't too bad anymore, maybe this place could rebrand like that too.

I called Bobby on 800-772-1213 on May 9. She works in Auburn WA out of the Seattle WA office and…read moreshe was very helpful in explaining yet another letter from the SSA Medicare system regarding the special costs of Medicare Part B that would be assessed to me unless I called them. Thanks to Bobby's knowledge and special assistance I was able to find and complete and file one more online form. Congress has made such a mess of the SSA laws and regulations that people like Bobby have to spend their entire day helping people like me get through the many forms and help us identify and provide the required evidence just to get our basic benefits after we have paid into the system for 40+ years. Thanks Bobby! I am glad you Feds finally got a tiny raise this year. I wish it were more. You are the best!

There is no more walk in or appoints in the office now. All telephone appointments. Took a month in…read morethe waitlist, then another month for the appointment. Then they didn't call. Lied in a note that they called three times, but there is no record on my phone. And I have to call the national line to get a referral to the local office that failed to call. Took another hour on the phone. Looping phone trees for you to guess the magic words to get to an agent. And the agent you get is an asshole. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Talks down on people. Department of Government Efficiency my ***. The government has never run more inefficiently

I was finally allowed in at 9:11 AM, checked in at the kiosk, and waited. At approximately 9:32 AM, my number (S196) was called. I explained that I had received a fully favorable decision for both SSI and SSDI and that my concern was specifically regarding my SSDI payment, which had not yet been received despite prior processing steps already being completed. The agent immediately defaulted to a scripted response, repeatedly stating that everything was "being processed," without listening to or acknowledging the specifics of my situation. I clarified multiple times that I had already completed my interview in February and had received SSI, but not SSDI. Instead of addressing the discrepancy, the agent continued to repeat the same generic response. I then requested to speak with a supervisor. I was told I could not, because she had already "answered my question." When I calmly asked again, she closed the window on me without providing her name or any assistance. Security then began pressuring me to leave. I stepped outside, contacted my attorney, and returned to formally request a supervisor. I was made to wait outside again--standing, in the cold--until approximately 10:52 AM before being allowed back in. After additional waiting, I was finally able to speak with a supervisor and file a formal grievance. I left the office at 11:19 AM. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect--especially toward individuals with disabilities who rely on these services. Requiring people to wait outside for extended periods, combined with dismissive and obstructive staff behavior, is unacceptable.
