My wife gets a massage here every 2 weeks to relieve her chronic back and neck issues. If we had unlimited funds, she would go twice a week. I also have occasional work related issues and go here when it gets too bad. We both have Karen as our therapist, and she is great. Not only can she find the trouble spots in seconds, but she knows exactly what is needed to address the knots and tightness causing the issue. She also will use energy work if you ask. Highly recommended and in a safe and convenient neighborhood of Syracuse. read more

Ky was amazing! I went in with terrible lower back pain, sciatica, and left pain free. I'm still pain-free. She's been given the gift of healing! Beautiful environment too. read more

I've never had a massage before, but after a herniated disc and sitting behind a computer for a living, along with chronic migraines, I decided to go for it. I found Armory Massage through a web search, and was impressed by their wide range of offerings and reasonable rates. I got a 30 minute Integrated Therapeutic Massage, because I honestly didn't know what I needed. It was a great experience! I saw Tysheria, and she was super nice and very professional. She took my medical history, asked a bunch of questions, and then left me to get undressed and settled. The massage targeted all of my problem areas, and even some areas that I didn't realize were in bad shape. I only wish I'd gone for a full hour because it was so nice and relaxing. Their studio is a little hard to find, and Google maps doesn't send you to the right location. Your best bet in finding it is to look across the street from the Courtyard Marriott, locate the blue snake statue (Walt), and then find the black awning, and follow it to the door. I would highly recommend Armory Massage Therapy, and I will definitely come again. read more

Great Massage a a good price. It is in an old house in a historic neighborhood. Very charming. Definitely will go back again.

Purchased massage session for my wife as a random gift. She loved it. - and here are some more characters.

The massage was epic! Michelle knows her stuff when it comes to sports therapy massage. She worked my legs over and then some! A much needed 90 minute massage from my bike training this evening. I'm back in Syracuse on business so returned for a visit with Michelle here in downtown Syracuse. I decided to finally let her add in cupping. She said my anti-inflammatory, healthy, keto lifestyle is one of the key reasons why I didn't get significant broken capillary discoloration like many other people who get cupping. #massagetherapy #cuppingtherapy #antiinflammatory #keto #nsng #cyclistlife read more

Had a gift card for a massage. I had to wait about 15 minutes before I was actually taken in. I became really aggravated because I rushed to get there on time. Also, a relative of mine wanted to purchase a gift card for me, they left message and never got a call back. So, no, wouldn't recommend this business. read more

My husband and I both had massages and both agreed the best ever. I have probably had around 50 and this was by far the best. Building is calm, peaceful and easy parking! read more

I had a 90 minute massage with Ty and it was amazing. She found a lot of spots that needed extra work around my shoulders and back. She does a good job of reading what your body needs. It was deep tissue but also relaxing. Covid protocols were followed well. I will definitely book here again! read more

They were able to fit us in same day miraculously and were so good we both left feeling relaxed, renewed with our aches and pains just a memory. Highly recommend read more

Best massages of our life (and we've had quite a few!). They were different than anything we'd ever experienced and left feeling like we were floating. The techniques were unique and specific to our needs. Both Kathy and Michelle (?) were fabulous. The therapists received the 5 stars. If it were on facilities/location only it would have been 4 stars. There are no showers or dressing area, the bathrooms are cold and sterile and some massage rooms open right into the waiting room. But the actual therapy rooms are wonderful and they use sound machine with the music so you couldn't hear anything in the waiting room. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and approachable. We will be making this a regular thing each summer when we visit! read more

The Ladies at Armory massage are amazing and this will be my go-to massage business! I can not say enough good things about Melissa and her team. They are very knowledgable and passionate about thier profession. They take the time to get to know you, your concerns, and ensure you are comfortable before, during, and after the massage. Massages are not one size fits all and the massage therapists at Armory massage, will mix and match numerous modalities, tailored your needs and time, without extra cost or hidden fees. They have been a lifesaver for me and management of my migraines. read more

Not many ppl know what osteopathic medicine is so we'll do a quick crash course before I dive into the review. It's relevant, I promise. For the doctoring world, there are MDs and there are DOs. You might recall seeing these letters behind your doctor's name but don't really think much about it. DOs are osteopathic physicians who believe that the body is a whole and we can use the body to accelerate healing. For example if you have asthma you will be treated with the meds necessary to control your symptoms but one might also take a look at your ribs to make sure that you can take full breaths, etc, etc. Now if we take conditions like stress or pain which we all know is being held in the body, then it's easier to see where osteopathic manipulation can be beneficial. It uses specific techniques to release stuck patterns of tension. I gauge a good massage therapist based on how many principles of osteopathic manipulation are used during a session. I don't want someone to just rub oil all over my body or beat the crap out of a knot in my back. The body is stuck in a pattern for a reason and I want someone who can coax and unwind my body. I have been to Armory Massage for a total of three times, completing a three 60 min massage package with three different therapist, and I am impressed. All therapists use some sort of body/muscle knowledge to understand why you are holding tension at a certain place in your body. Although this typically means that you are not just laying there relaxing and sleeping, your body is being moved and stretched and placed in various awkward positions, but you are fixing your body patterns rather than just putting a band aid on it. If you ever run across a DO who practices Osteopathic Manipulation Medicine, or OMM, it's definitely worth getting a session or two in. That is one of the things I missed most about my hometown. There are good massages and there are great massages. Great massages are associated with words like "jellyfish", "noodly", "pile of goo" - things that describe an overall feeling of loose and melting puddles instead of tight and rigid knots. Armory dishes out awesome massages with care. Moving away from my usual massage place in DC was hard but that is the life I live but I am so glad that I found this place. read more

Called to get a massage on a Saturday morning because I had tweaked my back. Was able to get in at noon and saw Samantha. Fantastic massage and stretches that really helped my back. The building is just down from Kitty Hoynes in Armory square. Very nice place with well appointed massage rooms. Samantha is fabulous. One of, if not the best, massage I have ever had. For a a small woman, she has amazing strength and can go as "deep" as you want, I assure you.. read more

Follow the long black awning back into the building and it's the first door on your left. Just across the street from the Courtyard Marriott. Finding it was a little tricky, but it obviously didn't stop me from getting a kick-ass massage. I got there a little early, Samantha introduced herself and gave me a short questionnaire to fill out. From there it was all just a bunch of laying down and feeling great. She did a fantastic job. She did this cool thing where she moved my leg around and my butt kind of massaged itself. I have not yet been able to recreate that magic. I'm really pleased with the fact that my stress level is considerably lower even after several hours of chasing my one-year-old around my house. I will definitely be back. I was extremely comfortable in their environment. The atmosphere was relaxing, but also professional. I really enjoyed everything about the experience. read more

I just moved to Syracuse and found this place based on reviews I saw online, and I have to agree... they do pretty good work! I have gone to Sam twice now and she is amazing... she always works the knots out of my shoulders (where I carry the most tension) and I feel so much more relaxed when I leave... it's located right off the main chic area of downtown so parking is not easy to find, but once you are inside and relaxing on the table you forget all about it! Prices are about average... $65/hour for Swedish massage. They have great hours too... open a little later than most places... if you're looking for a relaxing way to spend the day I would recommend getting a massage from Sam! :) read more

I tried this place out for the first time a little over a month ago, and I've been back twice since then! This was my first experience getting a massage and I am so glad I ended up at Armory Massage. I see Karen and she is nothing short of a miracle worker. I have a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders from overuse injury (working in a floral shop and bakery will do that to you), and massage has been more successful at alleviating that pain than even chiropractic work. As for the space- its great location and inviting interior can't be beat. If you're a student, bring your ID and get a discount! read more

SO I used Yelp to help me find a place for my boyfriend to get a professional massage since he had an athletic injury that I wasn't able to fully help him with. Not only did he say the room was uncomfortably well lit (he felt on display) but he said it was the worst massage he'd ever had, that mine were better. I thought he might be humoring me some until the nail marks showed up all around his neck. He said his masseuse seemed really sweet but inexperienced and awkward and had not bothered to clip her nails nor did she try to keep them out of the way. I never leave bad reviews anywhere, but not only did I have to massage him when he got home (literally what he went there for), but for the price he paid, we could have gone out to dinner three times. A professional massage is something either of us only splurges on every few years and we had he money to spend so it doesn't affect us that much but other people should know to be cautious. Maybe it was just a bad time of day (closing) maybe she really was new or maybe it was some other random occurrence, but still. read more

I'm likely not the best critic for this given that this was the second massage I've ever gotten and it's been years since my first so I do not have much to compare this to. With that said, this was the most relaxing 60 minutes I've had probably all year. The reception area was welcoming and clean, intake was quick and simple, the restrooms were very clean and the massage was amazing. I opted for 60 minutes and technique to release some stress and focus on some trouble spots I've had for years. I felt every bit of the massage through my entire body and left feeling brand new. I made my next appointment before I even left so I didn't forget how amazing it was! read more

I called to get information, because my sister has been in pain with her back. I live out of state I found this place, online. I'm so glad I did. I spoke to the owner she is truly amazing, she was so helpful and knowledgeable and kind. She called my sister to find out more about her pain. She is more concerned about her clients Heath, then just taking someone in and not knowing. I would recommend Armory Massage Therapy, to everyone. It was the best experience. Thank you read more

I've been to armory massage a couple of times now and both experiences were great! I've had two different therapists and both did an excellent job at fulfilling my needs. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing with unique furniture, soft colors and music. Outside of the massage the service was great and the prices are reasonable . I highly recommend Armory Massage! read more

Liz is a life-saver and really knows massage therapy. She reduced my neck pain significantly and helped me through a rough emotional time as well. Ten stars. Edit: After a few more sessions, I would like to reiterate my ten-star review for Liz and for Armory Massage in general. I walked in today feeling like a complete wreck in all ways possible, and left feeling completely different, for the better, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. All their therapists seem to be great, and Liz has reduced my neck pain more than all sorts of other treatments, some way more expensive and invasive than massage, including direct cortisone injections into my spine. IMHO, she is a miracle. read more

I have been very physically active my whole life, and now that I am 67 years old, I suffer from a myriad of physical ailments and pain. Melissa and Michelle have enabled me to maintain my level of activity. They both are determined to do everything that they can to personalize their services to help you with your individual issues. They ask questions, really care about helping you, and modify what they are doing for each visit. I have walked into Armory Massage barely able to walk, and left feeling 20 years younger. Over the years I have been to several other LMT's, and I now have no need to look for anyone else. They are as good as it gets, and they help me feel as good as I can. read more

I'm not one who often gets a massage. But after a stress-induced migraine, I booked an hour appointment. Just what the doctor ordered! Came out feeling much better with all those knots our of my shoulders and neck. I'll be going back. read more

I have been getting massages for about 20 years and I have to say, my first massage at Armory Massage was my best experience. To me, the essence of a good massage isn't just knowing where to touch but it is about a relaxation experience and this place was the personification of that. I had numerous people refer the place and they were right. The staff was very friendly and relaxing. My masseuse not only did a great job but also ensured the pressure was the correct amount as filled out on my sheet. The only downfall was when it had to end. I will definitely be back. They even have package deals which I plan to purchase in the future. I would shout my recommendations from a rooftop for this place. It was well worth the 40 minute drive. read more

I don't know how I'd have survived the past couple of months without Melissa. She put her expertise to work, helping to ease the pain in my arms and back, and allowing me to continue working and performing at a normal level. She has deftly employed a variety of techniques, and truly cares about her clients' well being. Melissa is not only a top-notch massage therapist, but a genuinely good person, who takes her work seriously. The atmosphere is relaxed and calming, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend Melissa or Armory Massage Therapy highly enough. read more

I made a last minute appointment here while I was visiting family. I am so glad I did! I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for a couple years now and I have been seeing a chiropractor to help relieve the pain. Jamie did more in an hour than the chiropractor has done in a year to relieve the tension and pains in my neck and shoulders! I wanted a deep massage and it was perfect- she knew when to let up when it got to be too painful. My neck feels so much better. I definitely wish I lived closer so I could be a regular! read more

Wow! Watch what you ask for (I mean that in a good way). I asked for a deep massage and she gave it to me. She was caring and concerned for my lower back issues. Gave me a special pillow to lay on. Twisted my legs in ways that have never been done. She did things to my hip bones that I have never had done before and it actually released the tension of my back. Who would have though!? She was amazing. I look forward to going back to her next time I visit Syracuse. read more

Karen honestly made my year. Concentrated on my problem areas and made me feel nice and comfortable. Best massage I've ever had.

I was in disabilitating pain and Ti was able to bring me back to life. Knowledgeable and very professional. Definitely be back.

First time ever getting a massage, also dealing with a recent neck/back injury from working out - so I was extremely nervous. Right from the start Melissa was excellent, very professional, understood my concerns and tailored her approach to offset my nervousness. She was very cognizant of my injury and was cautious in her procedures and avoided doing anything that would increase my inflammation. My experience was great, I felt significantly better after the massage. Melissa was extremely professional and competent, not what I expected, I was thoroughly impressed and will be back! read more
